I've been listening to tech for a while and was enamored with the flow. Once that wore off, I kept him on my phone and shit but I found myself skipping a lot of his songs. It feels like he's surrounded himself with yes men and isn't challenging himself (just look at the culture around and within strange music, they treat him like a god). The cheesy lines have always been a part of the charm (for any artist in my opinion, it breaks from the super serious hardcore persona and offers relief), but lately it's been full steam ahead for cheesy shit, and REPEATING it in future songs like it's super great. Like on his latest album Planet, he has a song called Habanero, which is clearly the sequel to Siracha that should have never happened.
Since you guys are dipping into metal and Tech, you need to react to "Wither" by Tech and Corey Taylor (from Slipknot). It's actually one of the few Tech N9ne songs that I enjoy and I'm not a tech guy or a metal guy.

Has story telling tracks, flow tracks, songs with substance, etc. My personal favourites off it are "Side Note", "Middle of Nowhere", "Down For Mine", and "Into the Sky". I think you guys would enjoy all the songs off the album, but those four in particular, you would probably like a lot.
