Playlist!! This song was on even before I finished the video. The breakdown was, as always, spot on. Not only does the Lost in Vegas crew give us insights into different music, they do the same with cultures as well. I admit that I know very little about hip hop, and my knowledge has increased hugely thanks to Ryan and George. I think it is important to know where music comes from, and this channel is excellent at providing that background. From both Ryan and George and the listeners. Another thing that is great about this channel is the thought that is put into their critiques. The comments George made about the nature of mumble rappers and the effect of what those rappers are saying is insightful and encouraging. We need voices like this, in all genres of music.

Hey Ryan, George! Been around since before you blew up and I've watched every video. You guys are the truth! I noticed that you don't really talk about it much but what kind of music do you both really try to stay away from? What genres do you enjoy the least or what makes you think the most?
Also; obligatory request: Alabama Shakes - "Hold on", or alternatively they have a fairly decent ballad with nice guitar and slower tempo called "Gemini"; and finally "Gimmie all your love". You should watch a video of the band; the woman singing plays the guitar incredibly well and she's go great vocal technique. Not metal or anything like that, but not country. More of a indie rock (one of their songs is in an Apple commercial so...)
Whether you give the tracks a listen on video or not at all is fine; just wanted to try and get your opinion on the band is all. Have a good one guys!

Shawn Gifford I chose Ashes to Ashes because I figured it had ultra modern production and low end that they like but still shows off Patton's range. I love MLC too but I wouldn't introduce FNM to someone because it's kinda in left field. I was trying to find a song with somewhat modern appeal but also kind of an "average" of their various sounds.

That's a good song I agree..Mike Patton vocals kill it on that song.. I pick midlife crisis for the same reason..the opening with the drums and the r&b heavy Rock mix in, and his vocals and I just remember getting that album Angel Dust when I was 14 and I heard that song and just could not stop playing, and I'm 41 now and I really dig the song.lol.. either way you play it, ashes to ashes midlife crisis, Epic, Easy, a small victory, or the real thing.... there's so many good songs by Faith No More...
Shawn Gifford Yeah I was just a little worried we'd lose Ryan with Midlife Crisis because I know how much George loves Gojira and Ryan doesn't usually respond as well to pop. So I thought maybe Ashes would fit their taste. (I'd hit em with Midlife for a second or third track. Once I got their feet wet.) Not that I would ever call Midlife pop... But I'm not sure if Ryan and George would "get it" right away.
