For me the units that are the most fun in this game are the ones that allow you to set up something and then you get rewarded by a satisfying victory when all the pieces fall in line the way you want
Lmao, but yeah he's not exactly god tier on his own, but from the other characters multiplying his damage output with a lot of mechanical attacks/summons, and if you don't have a viable GR team yet you can definitely create a makeshift admech team by just using the three basic necrons you have which will 100% at least double or triple your raid damage early game
Me on my way to fight the rogal dorn battle tank with the death guard, mortarion with the dark angels, and magnus with the tyranids Jokes aside, sometimes your favourite characters are just not viable at all for guild raids or you lack the tools to make them work, which can be frustrating (thaumachus is worthless there, the nids but neuro, the dark angels but asmodai, etc), it can be frustrating and unfun to use meta even if you do good, its fun to use your favourite characters and do well, but its not fun to build your favourite characters for weeks and then have them still be worthless
I've been thinking over the last couple days about how to make a World Eaters GR raid team viable and going over a lot of thingies, and I found a pretty interesting comp that seems to perform well-ish in my limited testing, consisting of the core characters of Eldryon (of course), Wrask and Vindicta, with some options for the last two characters depending on which buffs you want to focus on, Azkor and Ahriman being very high. Some accounts are locked out of this comp though, because in order for it to work properly, Vindicta's passive needs to be low, around the 20-26 level area. The idea is to use Vindicta's damage to teammates and the flame damage to quickly stack up Wrask chainaxe and Azkor passive stacks, while having it be low enough damage that it won't instantly kill them. The flames on the ground will also add stacks towards this. A side goal of the comp is to kill summons (and have summons be killed) with melee attacks to slowly creep up the Blessing of Khorne 1.24 damage multiplier, and once it's at max letting Wrask's chainaxe rip and tear. For this reason, Biovore would be the best MoW to pair with and constantly baiting the boss to kill the spores to add this counter up. Azkor is also replacable with other characters, preferably summoners like Archi, Abraxas, Xybia, and even Creed and Celestine are options because the low Vindicta damage will trigger their summons, and imperial summons dying and killing will add Sister crits to Vindicta. It's a pretty unique comp that I think when played well and RNG on your side, may be competitive with the main three
Azkor is a bit goofy in the fact that, he can buff Wrask's flame damage immensely but first he must kill someone in melee, which may be a waste of a swing, therefore it may be more optimal and less RNG dependent to use a different character This can seamlessly be a substitute for Neuro comp users to use when fighting nids, as both vindicta and wrask are guaranteed characters
I'm in a fun, supporting guild. I am building Ad-mech because it's fun, but at the moment I have a team of Eldryon, Aethana, Gulgortz, Bellator, and Angrax. Eldryon is G1 Doom 45, the others are S2 or S3, max 35, and doing over 250k, so I'm happy doing what's fun. Looking at some way to use Kharn myself, may try replacing Angrax. I've always been the same in MTG, taking decks I enjoy and gel with (e g. D&T legacy, colourless Eldrazi in modern, even played a mono black Drana Eldrazi in standard when red was king around Amonkhet). If they happen to be meta, that's great, if not, then it's more a test of thinking, skill, etc. and makes it more fun IMO.
I was enjoying the mechanicus team before I even knew there was a meta, but I also use the nids because they are fun to me as well especially the prime
Its definitely about what you find fun. I have the multi hit team all sat at stone 2 because its half factions I don't really like, but as soon as I hard my toaster boys were coming to the game, it was all hands on deck. Hell, even in that comp I take Anu over Sho, because Sho isn't mechanical himself
1/3 of the hypothetical max damage for an obviously broken raid comp is fine. Especially when it's a boring, ugly comp full of characters that (for 99% of Warhammer fans) have basically nothing to do with tabletop Admech might as well be an anime cameo as far as I'm concerned. I'll happily give up 1 million damage to actually play Warhammer in my Warhammer game
Yup. MtG sucks now, except such rare gems like I've Horus Heresy decks, Fallout and few more. Great insight Wise one. Your movies are like a Sweet Dew to my not balanced (yet) ideas how to survive in Tacticus mess yard. Vbr🤜🤛
On the other hand, you have people shaming others for playing meta comps. Just take a look at WH40ktacticus subreddit. Gold 1 to the horizon? Yaaaaas slay kweeen! Strong GR team? Wow filthy tryhard. It honestly reminds me of the body positivity movement. What happened to letting people have fun? Don't people understand some people have fun by playing competitively and min-maxing and being optimal?
To have fun in this game, you’ll first need to get extremely lucky to get said character that you wanted through the dogshit requisition system first, otherwise you’re shit out of luck with donkey basic campaign and free characters. “Here, have macer and incisus, take it or leave it, or.. yk, there’s always that 50 overpriced daily packs you can buy..”
It’s a game it supposed to be fun otherwise it’s a job and you don’t do jobs for free.

I'm having more fun with the chaos team.

i dont think anyone said D3 characters cant damage a GR boss, but cmmon 1/3 of the dmg rho can do? thats nasty

Could you try replacing Wrask with Abaddon for the test? Abaddon's buffs would probably be better.
why? wrask 8x chain hit hurts a lot, sadly you cannot reach 8x hit but better than abba for sure
@@Lasariko I'd rather someone with access to a dev build test this, than rely on a "for sure", though.
