TPF, I think this is your best video yet. 🍻 Very useful in terms of how to think about different game modes and how to focus and build your roster with those game modes in mind. I wish that I would have had this kind of advice in mind when I started. I especially liked your analysis of the LRE traits and thinking in terms of 3x2x3. Mid level players should watch this video a couple times.
Thank you for the video. I just got Ragnar, minutes before the event ended, using just a gold 1 Snotflogga, silver 3 Isabella and Angrax, and ALL the other characters used at silver 1. But I had to buy also both expensive packs. As to avoid the frustration of not unlocking the heroes on LREs I decided yesterday that my objective for the game, for the time being, will be to create a rooster of 10-12 gold 1 to 3 characters that can guarantee me I unlock any legendary hero in these events. So far my team (before watching your video), in my mind, is composed of: Re'Vas, Cho, Calandis, Maugan Ra, Isabella, Rotbone, Burchard, Bellator, Snotflogga, Aethana... Probably Abaddon if I manage to get him soon. And maybe Vindicta or Vrask for flame damage. These heroes have been chosen by looking at the characters which fulfill more slots in the Tacticus planner app home page. Only then I will feel comfortable level that number of heroes you suggested, and to higher tiers including diamond. Because that's the reality of a weaker, beginner player like me.

@@vladmordekeiser1054 Like I said in the video, upgrading a character just for LRE is a waste if you can find others that will fill that niche. Power damage on Chaos is Rotbone and Maladus, but other characteristics of Abaddon can be easily covered by more meta-relevant characters. Simply put, investing in bad characters that will give good points isnt good long-term since they dont have to be good in the future LREs, while good characters will always be useful in other gamemodes. Abaddon has no uses outside of LRE, he is bad in terms of stats and doesnt seem to be in for a buff, so Id not upgrade him, even if he yields good points. Its not that hard to fill his niches, anyway :D
Also his active is useful for suppressing overwatch on top of dealing direct damage and so on... I treat him as a melee character with some ranged attacks
Cheers, explains a lot, been trying to find a guide for new players to focus on just unlocking the characters at minimum level for the upcoming events, on my second week playing and just got Indomitus Elite Campaign unlocked and most of the main characters to bronze 1/rare or uncommon 4stars. Also got lucky with a legendary Typhus drop on req's. Also just got power lvl 20. Working on Black Legion and finishing off my necrons to bronze 1/upgrading the useful characters to rare. Any suggestions for characters to focus on just for unlocking the event characters coming up soon? Not fussed about pushing to best rarity or anything just don't want to miss out on unlocking them, had no luck on previous events so far.
@@TRONRINZLER if you mean Hero Release Events like Baraqiel, you mostly have to be active and preferably spend 50 blackstone per day on energy if youre F2P just dont spend blackstone on it when a release event isnt going on and you will stockpile it for those events For LRE (like Ragnar), youre not there yet and wont be for some time, I suggest watching D Preachers LRE videos if youre interested in a specific one. Also, check out Farseer Szeku's video on Tacticus outside resources, they will help you plan accordingly to your needs Also just upgrade AlephNull now lol

I focus on my teams for LRE when they come out. Then I make them s3-G1. You dont need higher than that if you have a wide roster and some key characters
Some great advice, other less so. LREs are all about healing and buffs to armor, since incoming waves will always get the first hits in (Unless you are way overpowered for that mission like in the first few ones, and then you can bring whoever you want). So Characters like Varro, Azrael and most importantly- Sibyll are actually great investments for these events. On the other hand, Squishy characters like the Neurothrope, won't survive more than two waves on mission 10 even upgraded to Diamond 1... Not without someone who will reduce incoming damage like Tyrant guard or the characters I mentioned above... Bottom line, its true that you should upgrade your characters while considering their worth in other modes, but some characters are just so much better for LREs, and some are completely worthless for them (Like Certus, the worthless bugger). And lastly- no mention of Isabella? she is by far the best character for LREs and takes any lineup she can be a part of two missions further than any other character at her rank would (Not to mention carrying any imperial campaign on her shoulders). There is very rarely a character in the game that is such definitive choice in any mode that it feels very weird not to hear her mentioned.
@@drizztD752 I broke down only 1 Hit characters in the video, but Isabella would get easy Gold tier in a tier list since she is amazing for waves and great in Guild Wars Regarding the first part of the comment, I agree, but I didnt do any focus just for LRE, I mostly felt the characters being vulnerable at Mission 11+, and well, to unlock a character you need Mission ~8, so it all depends if want to push LREs harder or less in terms of focus, like getting Isabella and Bellator+Burchard to Diamond to abuse high level Bolter missions Thanks for the comment, by the way!

Regarding unlocking on mission 8 that's true, but I find that if you find a lineup that is useful in multiple modes, especially if it fits multiple prerequisites, its worth it to push it higher so it can make it to mission 10 over trying to spread yourself thin trying to full clear all prerequisites up to mission 8@TechPriestFred No problem, and the analysis is really appreciated in case it didn't sound like it in my previous comment. Regarding unlocking on mission 8 that's true, but what I meant was that characters like Neurothrop need to be a much higher level to survive over two waves in missions that other characters can survive the whole mission with relative ease. Usually, the lineup you'd want for any prerequisite needs to have at least one tank to sponge up damage and one damage reducer or even a healer if possible, and those that are good at those parts would usually double for other modes as well. Sibyll is a campaign character and menace to overwatch characters, Varro is also a campaign character that you'd need to get to G1 anyway to finish Indomitus elite (since you are for sure not getting certus above S1), and the introduction of GW makes it much more valuable to have a large roster of tanky character to use for defensive lineups.

Good video, but gotta disagree on ur suggestion on keeping Certus and Varro at Stone 1. Sure, they are garbage, but the importance of progressing thru elite campaigns cannot be overstated. Any character required for a campaign should be at least Silver 1, regardless of how go they are, so u 3-medal elite campaigns at least up to level 20.

Disagree about thaumachus. He'll be part of the flame teams for kharn and his shield is great for any swarm type game mode - ablative health is almost as good as healing and combos with it very well. I'd say silver.

Azrael anyway D1 because too much profit(4 types of attack,block boost,3+1 attack), Varro was useless on all ewentd but on Ragnar beta he was most usefull because cover by block+reduce psychic dmg all friendly characters, alsonext LRE we have only imperial vs aeldari. So minimum G1 for Varro :)

This game has a very weird timed -token programmed mechanic which restricts your gameplay and also when you digital pull for a raid reward you do not always get it therefore depleted energy occurs. When all tokens depleted you must wait for reloading for 22:32 hrs before total token reimbursement regeneration. There are restrictions in place that prohibit leveled balancing of 25 characters to compete worldwide in Guild Wars. Not to mention it does not adhere to GWWH40K Codex Tournament Regulations. For example , Black Templars and Orks on the Same team as allies. Never would , can , or ever will happen on Tabletop. So why do it digitally? I will redact this comment and apologize fully when the game introduces an in game mode where any worldwide gamer of Tacticus can regenerate tokens or energy through such an in game mode without causing any disruption in gameplay. This will help all gamers to be able to compete with whoever they want in their team as the developer Snowprint wants like with Ultramarines and World Eaters on the same team. Very disrespectful after 37 years of Lore from Games Workshop and the millions of fans and hobbyists around the world. Again , I will apologize fully with respect if they create an in game mechanic to allow all players the fair chance to replenish their energy and tokens to play on a regular basis. BY THE WAY …there is a huge upcoming anniversary update , now would be the time for Snowprint to create that in game allowance to give every gamer the fair chance to replenish their energy and tokens to compete on multiple modes as Arena Live Tournament , weekly Arena and Guild Wars. Vitruvius sadly sucks on both the mech team and the neuro team. In the mech team eldy is just better and for neuro vitrus damage is just capped at too low levels
@@chriro0960 He is the Avatar substitute for Eldryon basically, but him being a Mechanic bumped his rating in my list I also believe that his passive and 1 bonus hit may be great with reworked Gulgortz and Snappa once they come live
I like Incisus as well (people have to think in terms of black and white and he suffers because Isabella exists) and I knew very early on just from playing the game, that Certus sucked. I hate everything about him. His movement sucks. His base damage type sucks. His active AND his passive suck. Heavy Weapons and three range is all he has going for him and it's not enough. I wish you didn't have to invest in him for the campaigns..Sarq (Sarq after Dark to his friends) is such a better version of Certus it's nauseating.

I think Azrael is pretty useful for LRE because he covers Bolter, 1 hit ranged attack, 3 max hit and power damage tracks.

Vitruvius sadly sucks on both the mech team and the neuro team. In the mech team eldy is just better and for neuro vitrus damage is just capped at too low levels
@@chriro0960 He is the Avatar substitute for Eldryon basically, but him being a Mechanic bumped his rating in my list
I also believe that his passive and 1 bonus hit may be great with reworked Gulgortz and Snappa once they come live

I like Incisus as well (people have to think in terms of black and white and he suffers because Isabella exists) and I knew very early on just from playing the game, that Certus sucked. I hate everything about him. His movement sucks. His base damage type sucks. His active AND his passive suck. Heavy Weapons and three range is all he has going for him and it's not enough. I wish you didn't have to invest in him for the campaigns..Sarq (Sarq after Dark to his friends) is such a better version of Certus it's nauseating.
