The second verse always freezes my veins over. "The schoolhouse halls, the shotgun's loaded", and "a nation under God, I feel their love like a cattle prod" in particular.
September's Children; Read clearly aloud; Tyler Clementi, age 18 Billy Lucas, age 15 Harrison Chase Brown, age 15 Cody J. Barker, age 17 Seth Walsh, age 13. The last four names (faintly heard in the last part of the song): Felix Sacco, age 17 Asher Brown, age 13 Caleb Nolt, age 14 Raymond Chase, age 19
@@adolfoalbornoz3730 Apologies for the late response, but those are the names of children who committed suicide in September of 2010 after being bullied for being part of the LGBTQ+ community (if you hadn't figured it out by now)
Are all these kids, that they're listing off the ones who committed suicide? Did all these kids they listed off in this song actually commit suicide? If so, then that's terrible! People are so cruel these days, and will push you on the verge of suicide again
All of the children named in the song are children who committed suicide within the month of September, 2010 due to bullying that they endured because they were members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Listing the kids won't push someone towards suicide. This song actually had a positive message. Unfortunately some people cannot see past dark clouds. Educate.
@@loriann3723literally nobody said anything about this song pushing people. Unfortunately some people are convinced they're the smartest in the room. Listen to understand, not to respond.
