One of the coolest things is growing up with these songs was not understanding what they were actually talking about, but still finding comfort in them. and when I come back as an adult, with a radically different understanding of the world they're still comforting, but in a different way. Bittersweet. Reassuring to know someone was saying something, upsetting I didn't understand at the time, and frustrating that these songs stay just as relevant since I first heard them. Like it's good to know there's people fighting, but then you remember that this fight has been going for decades, and probably will continue to. anyone else having an existential crisis?
I can only somewhat agree with you there. Knowing these songs as a teenager (13/14 or so) is what showed me the world needs help. It's what got me into activism and such. You can't truly love until you've given up of it. Best lyric. It defines almost everything that we want, to be accepted and loved for whom we are, and we get to the point that we give up on it and yet we still fight for our beliefs. And that we find the one that accepts us, despite the flaws, the hidden selves. It's magical.

TheRh764 Rise Against aren't pop music, comparing their view count to a pop artist is pointless. By their genre's standard Rise Against are extremely popular.

My 8 year old daughter sings along to this all the time.
good girl ;PPPP hahaha that´s nice
Justin Tarvid helluva lot better than what I sang when I was 8. I sang along to metal, Eminem, and hard rock
I hope she jumps on her bed, otherwise get a doctor.
Justin Tarvid You've done everything right! ;)
Justin Tarvid parenting done right
6 years later and i still love this band.
every lyric is a story of its own
As you get older you are pulled in a hundred directions like father , husband, job title, best friend, etc.... you can get lost juggling so many roles. Then you here magic like this from your younger days and just like that you're reminded of who the hell you are.
Ten years and still one of my secret special song. A guilty pleasure really
Why havent they exploded to popularity yet?! god damn!
Ikr
What are you talking about? they almost have 10m visits to this clip only, and are also touring with the likes of Linkin Park to name just one
Kenano That's not really alot when you have shitlords like Bieber having videos over 1bn views.
or, even TDG, many of whose videos have well over 3 times this many, and almost always more.
TheRh764
The fact that someone's widely popular dosen't mean these guys aren't. My musical tastes range from people with this much views to others with less than 50k regularly. That doesn't mean they're bad, though, and they're nowhere near 10M
TheRh764 Rise Against aren't pop music, comparing their view count to a pop artist is pointless. By their genre's standard Rise Against are extremely popular.
This song is so catchy i can listen to it over and over with it getting even slightly boring. WHAT A MASTERPIECE!!
I dont know how many other feel like this about this song, but to me its something special. Since years, no matter how much i changed, no matter how much happend arround me or where i was at the time, id allways find myself coming back to this song. I love listening to Sattalite, remembering where i was and what i went through, if good or bad. So thank you, Rise against!
Love the 2nd half of the song that starts at 2:20 mark.
2:39-3:02 is my favorite part.
It's 2019 and this is still one of my favourite songs of all time. I get goosebumps everytime
Please new kids don't let this beautiful song dies
Rise Against was my first band i saw live at a concert, loved it so much!
This song is legendary still hits
This is my favorite RiseAgainst song! I used to listen to it back to back and recently I wanted to hear it again but I completely forgot everything about this song, like who sings it and the name but I knew once I heard it I'd recognize it. So cool to have found it!
If you forget the name, just look up the sky and you will remember it immediately:)
Love the lyric
'You won't know the beat till you get lost in it."
+Chad Kirby * "You won't find the beat until you lose yourself in it."
My bad
the irony...
Opris Vlad ik. Guess I really got lost in the beat xD
You won't know your worth, son until you take a hit. That one hits hard for me, I know, pun intended
I love this song. Rise against has some of the best positive motivational songs with amazing upbeat vibes and views.
Listening to them on spotify was just fun. Today I was curious and began watching the music videos and now I love this band a thousand times more
Wait until you see them live. They're so amazing
2020 and I STILL love these Dudes!!!!!!!
I can easily hear Dexter Holland sing this in my head. Rise Against and The Offspring has very similar song structures. Just noticed this. Great bands, both of them!
I'd be very surprised if rise against wasn't influenced by offspring
Celtic vibes ...by way of Chicago...from a true Celt ....greeting from Scotland...aye , groovy tunes, could be played at any Beltane festival...🤘🤘🤘🤘
