When asked about the negative message of this song Tim replied with this "I never thought about the negative perception of the song until someone told me about it later. And I didn’t want it to be like that; I wanted it to be this escapist thing, that moment when you realize, “I’m not down with this environment that I’m in, this relationship I’m in, this world I’m in or this headspace I’m in, and I want to get out and escape.” And it was that moment of finally being fed up and saying, “Fuck this. I want out.” And to me it’s a really positive thing, especially if the thing you want out of is dangerous or damaging or negative. The song is about that moment. It’s not even about the answer; it’s about that moment of clarity, where you go, “I’m over this. Let’s move on from here.” So it didn’t really mean it as a negative thing, but I see how it could be construed that way"

RokeyGames This song is definitely a step in the harder direction, but it sounds nothing like RPM. RPM was much much more raw and punk like(with screams, screeching guitars, and Tim's more rusty voice). RPM also didn't have any of the pop punk elements which this song has, like the "woahs" or "heys." Don't get me wrong I still love this song, but it sounds more like a mix between Endgame and The Sufferer and the Witness.
Anyway, people, let's stop this pointless discussion right here. It is a new track from Rise Against, that can only mean one thing... IT IS FREAKING AWESOME!
To anyone here struggling with depression... We all can do this ... We have our highs and lows regardless of your background or past... No matter your family or living situation. We are all here for a reason and won't be able to find out what that reason is unless we make it through to the next day... Nobody is better then anyone else or has it better or worse... We all go through shit so together lets wipe our shoes off in the dead grass and fookin march to the beat of our own drum... Don't let anyone break you down or Rip apart your dreams... You got this!!! This is your life!!! And every breath is worth the while... Thank you!
Anyone struggling with depression anxiety being bullied anything. You are not alone and you matter ok. Keep pushing keep fighting you demons. You got this ok✨
I get so mad when people say Rise Against have made 5 albums that sound exactly the same... Rise Against has made 6 albums that sound exactly the same!
i don't know if this was a troll or not but their records don't all sound the same entirely. their earlier stuff was a lot different sounding than their newer stuff, not to mention endgame had a different feel with every one of their songs. This song i do agree takes us back to the Appeal to Reason album but then again this is only one song, it could be different
Rise Against is, in my opinion, one of the only bands that makes TRULY good music and conveys a message in every song. They are the only band whose music makes me think about the world and our country. Their music even helps me cope with anxiety and depression. I don't know if all of you think this way about them, but I hope you do.
The non lyric video actually made me cry.. It's nice too see that people actually see the madness that is happening in this world. Great song Rise Against! :)
My dad got me into rise against when i was about 4 years old. 1 year later when i was 5... i knew every song title by heart. Im now 16 and i just listened every one of their songs for the first time in 9+ years. The memories and the nostalgia of these songs gave me chills and im listening to them every day since. It is definetly one of my favorite band.
I really can't see any reason why anyone would dislike this band. They're not the fanciest band, but their music has a very big impact and they're just great song writers all around. I would like to see them one day.
People in these comments are yelling at other people for telling here theyre depressed. You dont have to have a bad life to be depressed. I have kinda everything. I have food, a warm home, my famliy, but i struggle with Depression, because i've been bullied for 7 years. Dont tell them that theres worse. What might leave a scratch on you, might kill somebody else.
I was deputy sheriff for 7 years. This song perfectly could describe those years. As a rookie I was excited. As time progressed, the things you see begin to affect you. You can't forget the sights. The smells. The faces. The photographs. The details. I got fired from that job, because I didn't charge a known shitbag for a crime he didn't commit. By the time I got fired though, the job was no longer enjoyable. It became agonizing work. And when it starts to weigh you down, they tell you to be more proactive in your patrol. So you get proactive, then they say you make too many traffic stops. Nobody asks if you need help. You just gotta deal. I didn't want to be there anymore and it almost cost me everything. I'm better now though.
I know how you feel. I work as a Security Guard and I feel the same way. I dread being called in to work and getting ready to go to work is more of a struggle every day. Most companies in the security industry consistently disrespect, undervalue and underpay their staff.
I still am one. It’s hard at times, especially on midnights. Also, it’s your discretion to charge a person-the department can’t tell you who to charge and who not to??
So many people knocking this album. I love this song. I don't care if every song on this album isn't my new favorite Rise Against song of all time, i'm pumped for the new music, and i definitely dig this tune.
I guess there is a reason why this song has almost 10 million views. Sociocultural circumstances and political actions, driven by economic interest, destroying the health of the youth is NOT okay.
Chris Ray Sound like every single song of them to me. lol Anyway, I was just making a joke. I think that for a lot of people sound like Sufferer and the Witness... Almost the same, just lyrics changed.
This song isn't necessarily about suicide it's all about how you see and hear the lyrics, I see it as I'm not happy with who I've become or the situation I'm currently in, " I don't want to be here anymore..." It could be a catalyst for change and an opportunity for change and improvement... It's all about how you see things... For those of you who feel like your situation will dictate the rest of your life.. Please don't give up cuz you can make things better, use this song as inspiration not confirmation...
I think that's what's great about it, it can be applied to so many things, living in poverty, living with an abuser, being depressed for me it feels more like the period after I was depressed, after I'd worked through most of my shit I found myself more or less alone, I didn't have anyone to share that joy with, I'd just begun living a life that others had been living for five years, it feels like being in the same place with a different mindset, but it's getting better, because I'm making it so, because I don't want to be here anymore
I find it funny how the same people who comment about rise against sounding exactly the same on all of their music are the same people who criticize Linkin park for not being exactly the same as their first 2 albums like how does that make sense
lolumad77711 Yeah people just wanna be critical. Like people, bands change. Concepts build. Ideas sprout. Problem arises. These bands are just addressing what is in their hearts in a way they feel that is best approachable for their audience. They spend quite a deal thinking of their lyrics and songs. When I first heard this song I knew it was Rise Against no questions asked. Was it that much different from other Rise Against songs not really. To me I still think it is great.
to anyone who's deployed or mobilized in Iraq, afghanistan or any Palestinian providence this song has a deeper meaning. for many of us it's about coming home and being tired of the surroundings. prayers to my brothers.
It's annoying how people criticize(d) this one song and/or compare it to Rise Against's other albums. I really don't see one thing wrong with this song; along with specific musical things that make up this song, the message or meaning of it is just as strong as the many other songs they've made, all of which, to me, are both astonishing and plain awesome. If this album is not what you expected or "wanted", you're not being much of a grateful fan; don't be so picky and ignorant to not realize that Rise Against made the music how they see fit, despite the style changing in minor or moderate ways. Hands down, they created great songs for this album with a style they were or are still comfortable with, clearly, as they've done with their past albums; I commend them for that and I'm proud to be a fan of them. Overall, don't be so ungrateful; be glad they still create great music. :D
I'm a die hard fan from the beginning. I remember seeing them headline a show at my favorite concert venue not to long after The Sufferer & the Witness album was released. That was the best live show I have witnessed thus far in my life. When they played "Survive" something clicked in my head, "this is the song that will define you for the rest of your life." The next day I made an appointment for my next tattoo, and two weeks later I was officially a die hard fan with "How We Survive Is What Makes Us Who We Are" in black ink stretching from my waist to the top of my ribs. I have been waiting for Rise Against to hit a venue some where close to me for several years now. The current tour Rise Against is on with Lincoln Park happens to be making a stop in my area. I have no doubt that this show will rank as high as the first time I saw them. The show would be truly epic if the set list included Survive, Help is On the Way, and my newest found favorite I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore.
Soap Sud Gaming Now I wouldn't defend the song with my life. I may like the song but its not worth fighting for people who fight for any song are very illogical, I'm just saying that its a good song at least to me I know that not every body likes this song. every body has their likes and dislikes but I know that I will not fight for this song its not worth my time.
I suffer from depression. This song uplifts me because the lyrics help fight the voices. "I don't want to be here anymore" to me is saying that I don't want to be trapped in my mind anymore
Alot of people are saying this sounds like Sufferer and the Witness and Siren Song of the Counter Culture. I don't here it in the two songs they've released for this album though. I think this is a new strain of Rise Against with the same raw vocals as before, but with a better ability to hit notes, and cleaner guitars. Tim's singing voice is the best sounding from all his previous albums. And have you heard his screaming in Eco Terrorist? He rocks both clean/ and unclean vocals.
This song is very important to me, because right after my grandma passed away two years ago, the only thing that kept me going was this one part: "something has to die to be reborn", and I still have a very old recipe of hers and one day I'll tattoo this very quotation using her handwriting... Thank you, Rise Against, for always being by my side in the dark times
As for me, I love everything Rise Against has made, from The Unraveling to Endgame. Each album has a unique flavor that I like to listen to individually for individual moods. Sometimes I'm in the mood for the extreme angsty punk of 'Six Ways 'Til Sunday' and sometimes I'm in in the mood for the melodic sound of 'Audience of One'. All in all, I welcome yet another new flavor of Rise Against!
On pins and needles we are waiting for the fall We count the days scratching lines on the wall Wait in the wings at someone's beck and call No longer recognize the place that I call home No longer recognize this face as my own Somewhere this fate, I lost control We backed down, we took no for answers far too long We felt those walls close around I don't want to be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore I know there's nothing left worth staying for Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa See I don't think I can fight this anymore, I'm listening with one foot out the door And something has to die to be reborn and I don't want to be here anymore On hand and foot we answered every single call Weathered every day like passing storms But when we break we will all be gone Won't back down, won't take no for answers anymore These walls close, we pace back and forth I don't want to be here anymore I know there's nothing left worth staying for Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa See I don't think I can fight this anymore, I'm listening with one foot out the door But something has to die to be reborn I don't want to be here anymore The point where we break is closer everyday But where do we go? But where do we go? I don't want to be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore I don't want to be here anymore I know there's nothing left worth staying for Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa See I don't think I can fight this anymore, I'm listening with one foot out the door But something has to die to be reborn and I don't want to be here anymore Anymore...
Cool song, it seems like this time a round some of the songs (this song and restless world) are more introspective (writing songs about personal concepts and experiences) rather than political. Which is cool, it's something that Rise Against have done a lot in their very first album, the unraveling. All of their other albums contained mostly political and social commentaries, so an introspective approach to the lyrics is a nice addition. I am very interested to see how the rest of the album is.
The cool thing is that this song can be interpretyed politically as well. You could argue that it's about refusing to put up with the political situation in the USA/the world. On the other hand, it does seem very introspective.
NomTheFood A lot of their songs are like that. IE: Audience of One is supposed to be political according to the music video, yet on lyrics alone, it gives a completely different message. I prefer to follow the lyrical message (losing friends and growing up) over the political message.
I like the fact that bands like Rise Against exist. It's nice to hear songs pertaining to world issues rather than the average pop song. I especially enjoy that they still have that "Rise Against" style. Just as shown in all of their albums!
What do you people want? If a band sounds different it's a problem. If a band sticks to their true genre/sound it's a problem. Make up your mind already. I personally love this song. I can relate to this. The music sounds great.
it will allways be people like that.. and rise agaisnt is by far the band where that happens the most.. im a big fan of linkin park too, check out their new songs here on youtube just to read the comments and you'll see whats to have retarded people talking shit with no sense. most of that people doesnt even know how much work they have to do to make such amazing song like this one. its better just to let them talk shit, the bands know the "real fans" :)
DyO DM Linkin Park is the type of band where I wish they kept the same sound. Meteora and Hybrid Theory were awesome but their new shit just isn't that good.
klavier285 isnt that good? just because you dont enjoy it, it doesnt mean it isnt good, open your mind, they're improving their style for a "new rock".. and meteora and hybrid theory was from 2000/04.. i mean for fck sake we're at 2014. 10 years difference, its time to try new stuff. and LP are the only ones that i can see they're working on it. like i said before, open your mind, its all about that, its not about the songs/band, its about people.
My mistake was leaving my boyfriend. He was what kept me from doing something stupid to myself. He loves Rise Against. Part of the reason I'm watching this. I left him, because I'm so dumb. I saw the ad for Rise Against, I knew I missed him, so when I heard the lyrics and they described life, I knew where I stood. I love you Hunter. I hope you see this.
The thing that makes this band, is they dont dumb their sound down for dumb fucking radio plays, they give their loyal fanbase the music that they fell in love with at the start even ten+ years later, so on behalf of all of us Thank you Rise Against
Should check out The Hunting Party. Linkin Park went more metal, heavier than they've ever been, and it's fantastic. This is by far one of my favourite songs by Rise Against. as a footnote.
Thanks for mentioning the Linkin Park album for one because I don't have the album and have heard mixed things but mostly really good reviews from people with musical taste and another it lead to see The Black Market has leaked, sweet! and yes I will buy the album when its released the impatience is getting to me lol
Pretty much listened to their new album like 50 times on the iTunes Radio and dear god it's amazing. Every song is just pure gold. I can't pick a favorite, they're all so good
To everyone who said they feel this way; I feel the same way. You're in my hearts and your in my thoughts, and I wish you the best wherever you end up.
I've been nothing but good my whole life (or so I've thought) I'm the most caring person you could meet but this world does nothing but take and I just don't know how much more I can handle
I'm proud to say Rise Against made me Straight Edge, thanks to Tim. Keep up the excellent work, I love every single album, I'm a huge fan of the lyrics in the more Controversial songs, and most people think it's weird that I listen to the lyrics and only then do I pay attention to the music. Either way, this band is fucking awesome.
Love Rise Against love all their songs and albums. If you don't agree that is cool, but this is my favorite band and their music brings me always to a good place.
I love this song, I feel like it's about that moment when a teenager snaps and realizes there is so much out there. The location shouldn't be allowed to hold them back. "But where do we go" "Anywhere but Here"
xD i had the same when listening to endgame for the first time and compared it to appeal to reason xD great music, but it does not hold much surprises anymore
I feel like this song is a successor of "Prayer of the refugee". Thematically in first they demand to be accepted by society and in this they are just fed up with it.
To all the people fighting depression that are in this comment section, you keep going. Abraham Lincoln and Winston Churchill said it was their depression in their early life that gave them the strength to carry their nations in their darkest hour. Make your suffering mean something. Become greater because of your struggle. You are not alone. ✊
I know I don't want to be here anymore... the world is so depressing, and the people are so corrupt. If it weren't for the few wondrous people in my life that I have happened to stumble upon, I'm not sure I would make it every day. I love Rise Against, love their new album, they're absolutely incredible
It kinda like A LOT more with the Sufferer and the Witness, but I hope to see a little bit of some new stuff in their musics, and a little bit of each and every album, one of them that I like better, is this that you've mentioned. =P
yeah man, Siren song is their best album (IMHO). Combinated hard part of voice line and melodic singing. But this new song sounds more like Endgame (for me). I must say - its not bad, but i still waiting for more HC.
This band and the lyrics feel so close to my own thoughts its truly amazing!! I feel every word and every acoustic that relieves my sense of being alone in my head. Rise against is my favorite band.
This comment section is a bit to personally deep when this song is about a general meaning 😅😅. it's not about facing depression it's about the world falling to shit
That's the good thing about people and music. All of us have different tastes in music for different reasons. We understand the music and lyrics differently, and can pin them to our own experiences and/or views on the world. Personally I listen to this song because my father is with a stupid bitch, and I'm thinking about cutting contact with him because there's aslmost nothing to stay for.
That's one of the things I like about Blue Stahli and artists like him, who don't just give you the meaning, because what it means to each person individually is far more meaningful than what the artist could tell you.
Things get better. Time heals. Everyone feels and sad times in their life. You just have to accept what is happening and tell yourself things will get better. Feeling sorry for yourself won't change the situation.
+Troy Dazzle i strongly agree, you have to accept yourself, realize your own flaws and the fact that you cant change them. be who you are and everything is gonna be alright.
My mom recently had a big health scare and when she went in for an MRA this song came on on the radio and it really helped her through it a lot. Thank you so much Rise Against!
I remember when I heard this song the first time. I was living in an abusive household. my step mother could only call me a pedophile because my girlfriend at the time was a couple years younger than I was. (I was 19, she was 16). My father and step mother treated me as a slave. I was the only one who did any chores in the house, and when something went wrong, it was my fault. Even if I wasn't home. My father beat me down violently a number of times. I heard this song, and I cried, for several hours. Now, I live with my grandfather after making a few wrong decisions in life, but I'm in a much nicer situation. I went from always being on the verge of homelessness, with no future, to getting ready to start college this year. I know some people were wanting follow ups on people's comments, and I couldn't remember whether or not I had posted here before. But I'm still here, and I'm doing much better off. Don't give up. It's not worth throwing everything away, when it truly does get better.

It is like a time machine

It sounds absolutely amazing! Looks like the new album will contain a lot of punk.
I mean that this sounds more like Revolutions per minute, which was clearly one of the more punk albums of Rise Against.

RPM also didn't have any of the pop punk elements which this song has, like the "woahs" or "heys." Don't get me wrong I still love this song, but it sounds more like a mix between Endgame and The Sufferer and the Witness.
***** I liked Endgame. But if you think that's punk, you have no idea what punk is.
Thank you!
yes we can do this ,hard as it is staying strong is easier said than done, but trust me you will get through!
Just wanting to let u know this post turned my day around was having one of my darkest days and I read this post and knew everything would be ok
Thanx for sharing 😁
The best band on earth, hands down. Others should take example of them.
Agreed 100%
Well said.
True
You speak through my soul
Anyone struggling with depression anxiety being bullied anything. You are not alone and you matter ok. Keep pushing keep fighting you demons. You got this ok✨
This song for me is pure freedom... Don't give up, always try to scape from those horrible places, like in my case home.
"No longer recognice the place that i call home, no longer recognize this face as my own..." :/
...Bitch!
Yo Bitch!
My bitches!
FEMALE DOGZ!
it means he's failing to see the meaning and purpose in everything, including his own identity.
I get so mad when people say Rise Against have made 5 albums that sound exactly the same...
Rise Against has made 6 albums that sound exactly the same!
trumph77 Haha yeah, but I felt it worked here too :D
i don't know if this was a troll or not but their records don't all sound the same entirely. their earlier stuff was a lot different sounding than their newer stuff, not to mention endgame had a different feel with every one of their songs. This song i do agree takes us back to the Appeal to Reason album but then again this is only one song, it could be different
They're all the same but they are amazing.
To be honest, The Unraveling and RpM were pretty cool.
Look at the bright side if you love how they sound you'll never be disappointed ;)
Rise Against is, in my opinion, one of the only bands that makes TRULY good music and conveys a message in every song. They are the only band whose music makes me think about the world and our country. Their music even helps me cope with anxiety and depression. I don't know if all of you think this way about them, but I hope you do.
Jared LaGrandeur Me too! My mental funk is cured jamming to them. Plus you see half these comments and realize that your life could be much worse
Just wait until you hear Tool.
I love how every song they sing has a deep meaning behind it
The non lyric video actually made me cry..
It's nice too see that people actually see the madness that is happening in this world.
Great song Rise Against! :)
+Ducky :3 Your hair is beautiful!
Same thing happened to me. I can’t complain though, the feeling of finding old songs is amazing, especially ones like these
I really can't see any reason why anyone would dislike this band. They're not the fanciest band, but their music has a very big impact and they're just great song writers all around. I would like to see them one day.
I heard they put on a great show
an incredible show.@@jimworton1245
People in these comments are yelling at other people for telling here theyre depressed. You dont have to have a bad life to be depressed. I have kinda everything. I have food, a warm home, my famliy, but i struggle with Depression, because i've been bullied for 7 years. Dont tell them that theres worse. What might leave a scratch on you, might kill somebody else.
agreement 100%
nice
Purple Omega I don’t know you but people Iike you I consider bothers and sisters :D

I.. Wha...it.. FUCK IT YOUR HIRED! Welcome to the prometheus school of Making me fell shitty
Jk. Nice quote btw
the lyrics are so real
really nice song and the message of this song is so clear
i like rise against 👍
sorry I mean the lyrics are so true
Glad youre doing better now. Cant imagine being a police officer I feel bad for them.
I know how you feel. I work as a Security Guard and I feel the same way. I dread being called in to work and getting ready to go to work is more of a struggle every day. Most companies in the security industry consistently disrespect, undervalue and underpay their staff.
You’re a good soul! Be proud of yourself!
I DONT KNOW you but i love you bro i know we will never meet but im giving you a hug
I still am one. It’s hard at times, especially on midnights. Also, it’s your discretion to charge a person-the department can’t tell you who to charge and who not to??
If there was a college version of this song..."I don't wanna be here anymore. I know there's nothing left worth studying for."
that could be applied to high school in some cases
@@Solidgamer01 I know that's for sure.
This is actually how this year has made me feel
me too man
Every day man. Struggling :/
@@fluffy.mtb87 Hang in there buddy, I'm happy you exist!
I really don't.........
@@kimmytancil Love you too ❤
So many people knocking this album. I love this song. I don't care if every song on this album isn't my new favorite Rise Against song of all time, i'm pumped for the new music, and i definitely dig this tune.
This is not depression its the break through to change
I guess there is a reason why this song has almost 10 million views. Sociocultural circumstances and political actions, driven by economic interest, destroying the health of the youth is NOT okay.
Sounds like Sufferer and the Witness to me.
YES!
Dude i know i can't wait. Btw i like your videos.
dude i just see one of your covers last night, amazing (Y)
All of their songs sound similar if you haven't notice. Not many bands can pull it off and still be good.
By far their best album.
You are strong and very smart! I couldn't have said it any better!! Don't forget to Stay strong yourself! ;
I think that's what's great about it, it can be applied to so many things, living in poverty, living with an abuser, being depressed
for me it feels more like the period after I was depressed, after I'd worked through most of my shit I found myself more or less alone, I didn't have anyone to share that joy with, I'd just begun living a life that others had been living for five years, it feels like being in the same place with a different mindset, but it's getting better, because I'm making it so, because I don't want to be here anymore
I find it funny how the same people who comment about rise against sounding exactly the same on all of their music are the same people who criticize Linkin park for not being exactly the same as their first 2 albums like how does that make sense
like I say to everyone I see saying something like this, 95 percent of the internet is retarded.
lolumad77711 Yeah people just wanna be critical.
This comment made my day, so true! People need to just enjoy great music!
totally true!! Should be the top comment on every fucking song!
Don't even compare Rise Against to Linkin Park, that's blasphemy
to anyone who's deployed or mobilized in Iraq, afghanistan or any Palestinian providence this song has a deeper meaning. for many of us it's about coming home and being tired of the surroundings. prayers to my brothers.
Please come back to the UK it's been too long!!!
You're saying words i feel right now, this paradise called earth, I don't want to be here either.
It’s not a paradise it’s hell
@@robbohus4557 it's not Hell it's a training ground.
Am I the only one who kinda got a siren songs feel, at least on the verses? I love it! cant wait for The Black Market!
Awesome song why is it getting hate? Its a good sing b by a good band.
Believe me buddy, every song that is great has people who dislike it. It's inevitable :) the main thing is that you like it ;)
Just like all shit songs have people who will defend their opinion with their life
(onedirection, justin bieber, miley cyrus, etc etc)
Monroe .
that's true thanks dude.
Soap Sud Gaming
Now I wouldn't defend the song with my life. I may like the song but its not worth fighting for people who fight for any song are very illogical, I'm just saying that its a good song at least to me I know that not every body likes this song. every body has their likes and dislikes but I know that I will not fight for this song its not worth my time.
I actually like this one a lot. Tim's voice seems to have a different energy. Less screaming, more power.
And don't worry, the vid got 98% of likes.
I suffer from depression. This song uplifts me because the lyrics help fight the voices.
"I don't want to be here anymore" to me is saying that I don't want to be trapped in my mind anymore
Well I like that you think of it as a positive thing
reminds me a lot of sufferer and the witness! Cant wait for the rest of the album, and to see them live at summerfest
Me too! The Sufferer and the Witness is their best, although I love all of their albums.
alright Professor Lupin likes Rise Against!
They are gonna be at summerfest? This is great news. Headlining I hope.
No not headlining, but they're on the Harley Stage. I'm kind of glad they're not. I already spent $135 to see Fall Out Boy with my sister.
Sounds like my summerfest experience. Fall Out Boy with the brother, and Rise Against.
JESCA JOGA keep pushing on, losing a grandma sucks but you're not alone.

Rise against a band that will never sell out!!
On pins and needles we are waiting for the fall
We count the days scratching lines on the wall
Wait in the wings at someone's beck and call
No longer recognize the place that I call home
No longer recognize this face as my own
Somewhere this fate, I lost control
We backed down, we took no for answers far too long
We felt those walls close around
I don't want to be here anymore
I don't want to be here anymore
I don't want to be here anymore
I know there's nothing left worth staying for
Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa
See I don't think I can fight this anymore,
I'm listening with one foot out the door
And something has to die to be reborn
and I don't want to be here anymore
On hand and foot we answered every single call
Weathered every day like passing storms
But when we break we will all be gone
Won't back down, won't take no for answers anymore
These walls close, we pace back and forth
I don't want to be here anymore
I know there's nothing left worth staying for
Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa
See I don't think I can fight this anymore,
I'm listening with one foot out the door
But something has to die to be reborn
I don't want to be here anymore
The point where we break is closer everyday
But where do we go? But where do we go?
I don't want to be here anymore
I don't want to be here anymore
I don't want to be here anymore
I know there's nothing left worth staying for
Your paradise is something I've endured, whoa whoa
See I don't think I can fight this anymore,
I'm listening with one foot out the door
But something has to die to be reborn
and I don't want to be here anymore
Anymore...
The level of stupidity
Arcadepown thanks 👏👏
Gracias por la letra 🌼🙏.
How can I move on when life keeps u kicking u to the ground??
I like being here. Be positive
Well, The Used were introspective and became political with their most recent album, it kinda makes sense for Rise Against to do the opposite.
The cool thing is that this song can be interpretyed politically as well. You could argue that it's about refusing to put up with the political situation in the USA/the world. On the other hand, it does seem very introspective.
NomTheFood Exactly.
I like both themes in their lyrics, their instrumental is godlike, his voice is great
NomTheFood A lot of their songs are like that. IE: Audience of One is supposed to be political according to the music video, yet on lyrics alone, it gives a completely different message. I prefer to follow the lyrical message (losing friends and growing up) over the political message.
its a great song, like all songs of rise against it have a strong meaning.
I like the fact that bands like Rise Against exist. It's nice to hear songs pertaining to world issues rather than the average pop song. I especially enjoy that they still have that "Rise Against" style. Just as shown in all of their albums!
Grew up with this band. Love there music never hated anything. This song is amazing. Truly amazing.
What do you people want? If a band sounds different it's a problem. If a band sticks to their true genre/sound it's a problem. Make up your mind already. I personally love this song. I can relate to this. The music sounds great.
finally someone who isn't an idiot like 95 percent of the internet
it will allways be people like that.. and rise agaisnt is by far the band where that happens the most.. im a big fan of linkin park too, check out their new songs here on youtube just to read the comments and you'll see whats to have retarded people talking shit with no sense. most of that people doesnt even know how much work they have to do to make such amazing song like this one. its better just to let them talk shit, the bands know the "real fans" :)
Lol idiots start to flock to the smarter comments. Got to love TH-cam commenters...
A strong message this band sends out to the world, simply amazing.
Animator: ''Tim, what font should I use for this music video?"
Tim: "Dunno, what do you have for me?"
...
Tim: "I'll take em all!"
very common style of typography
Hehehe
Grim Oakheart more like: *Animator*: Tim, what font should I use for this music video?
*Tim*: Yes
I know and embrace depression. It drives me to alcoholism. You haven't been a part of why that happens.
I guess that you could say the Animator "Gave It All" to Tim, lol.
The thing that makes this band, is they dont dumb their sound down for dumb fucking radio plays, they give their loyal fanbase the music that they fell in love with at the start even ten+ years later, so on behalf of all of us Thank you Rise Against
BRUTAL.
Yes
I love Rise Against and Linkin Park! Both bands have grown so much since their first albums. Here's hoping they continue to be awesome!
yes, still evolving, and making good music
Should check out The Hunting Party. Linkin Park went more metal, heavier than they've ever been, and it's fantastic. This is by far one of my favourite songs by Rise Against. as a footnote.
Diralt Naran I just bought it. It's amazing!
Thanks for mentioning the Linkin Park album for one because I don't have the album and have heard mixed things but mostly really good reviews from people with musical taste and another it lead to see The Black Market has leaked, sweet! and yes I will buy the album when its released the impatience is getting to me lol
The new album is great, but it did take some adjusting to hear them go back to their roots after Living Things, a great album as well.
Pretty much listened to their new album like 50 times on the iTunes Radio and dear god it's amazing. Every song is just pure gold. I can't pick a favorite, they're all so good
I don't think they'll ever make a song as good as Savior
They've made songs that are better than Savior.
They did an album called revolutions per minute that are better than anything else hahahaha
re-education .. ready to fall .. endgame .. paper wings .. everchanging ... ok stop me :p
Swing life away?
They have WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many song that are several million times better then savior...
Getting the new album for sure! I have all of your albums so far. Not going to stop buying them.
To everyone who said they feel this way;
I feel the same way. You're in my hearts and your in my thoughts, and I wish you the best wherever you end up.
I've been nothing but good my whole life (or so I've thought) I'm the most caring person you could meet but this world does nothing but take and I just don't know how much more I can handle
Mmmh, my words ( reflecting )
Loving the song. Going to be a great album.
I don't know how they do it, but one of the few bands that has consistently made awesome music without loosing their feel.
Keep your chin up… we all have our walk of life in this journey, and it all ends the same.
Be kind to others and spread happiness, not hate.
New album!! YEAH
I had the darkest day of my life today and I was scrolling thru youtube and found this gem this song slays
I agree. Respect
Same
Even if it is an angry as hell place.
Fucking amazing, can't wait to hear the rest of the album
Thiz track gos bk to 2014 when I started my 7yr term getting to Delano and the music was on full blast and thiz song was on
These guys just get better and better with each song and album! Man can't wait for all this to come out.
Fuck...Finally! This is brilliant! My faith in music is slowing restoring. I think this'll be a good year.
I love this song, I feel like it's about that moment when a teenager snaps and realizes there is so much out there. The location shouldn't be allowed to hold them back. "But where do we go" "Anywhere but Here"
Good that a band is letting then fans hear some real shit. These guys were always good shit.
I love this...
Amazed to see how these guys churn out new songs that sound as great as their every song.
This is the "help is on the way" song of this album.
I hope there's a "Satellite" on it though.
Dayum dude first time I open the comments for the song and see you.
xD i had the same when listening to endgame for the first time and compared it to appeal to reason xD great music, but it does not hold much surprises anymore
I feel like this song is a successor of "Prayer of the refugee". Thematically in first they demand to be accepted by society and in this they are just fed up with it.
@@nostalji93 I entirely agree with that. This didn't have the same atmosphere or theme as Help is on the way.
I think i just broke my replay button x) That's an AWESOME music guys!!!!
Tims voice sounds a bit more raspy in this, kind of like the older albums, I hope this album is like Siren Song Of The Counterculture.
This comment section is a bit to personally deep when this song is about a general meaning 😅😅. it's not about facing depression it's about the world falling to shit
ikr
That's the great thing in Rise Against lyrics. They can be interpreted in many ways.
Was about to say the same thing. People reading the lyrics wrong
No, it only gets worse
You're like a single drop of optimism in a sea of misery :)
I'm sure you know that well enough since you're a Norwich fan
+TidalWave something has to die to be reborn :)
Just found this song as it sums up my current situation perfectly
Same
Happened last year but same Situation
my house is like a prison, my family is twisted, i wanna leave...
Hey. Are you moved out now? Doing better?
Nothing's gotten better
The ending is awsome. Haha. Makes me wana listen over and over. Solid song. Can totally relate
Thanks Asphalt Xtreme, for having this amazing song.
Dziki Breeki yes friend :)
As someone who lives in florida this song is very relatable rn. This paradise is something I've endured. What happened to this place
This song kind of makes me sad when I was at my lowest of my low of my life
Fantastic, Rise Against never disappoint.
I love how this band unlike all my other favorite bands never changes their sound. amazing song!!!
loved this song since it's drop. Asphalt Xtreme only reminded me
The state I find myself presently in
I remember when I heard this song the first time.
I just looked up "I don't want to be here anymore" cause I say that to myself everyday.
I feel that
Same...
Hey I know it’s 6 months later but that’s exactly what just happened . Do you still feel the same ? I just wanna know how long would I feel like this
