It's been four decks already pauper that I've built after seeing them here I don't even like playing Ponza or control-like strategies, but I've been having so much fun with the format and the price tags are so nice that I can't help building more decks to keep playing with friends
Hey prof, i recommend geths verdict instead of diabolic edict. It has the same sac effect, but ads a ping to the opponent. Its double black instead of one and a black, but in mono black, thats not a drawback.
Professor is probably using diabolic edit for the awkward situations where you have a Radiant Fountain and a swamp and need to kill a bogles on turn 2, that could happen.
I think you prefer paper pauper but considering how popular the format is on MTGO, it couldn't hurt to put the TIX price on the cards too when you put the price graphics on there. Even if you don't mention it in your script, it would be useful info to MTGO players who are thinking of buying this deck to know what the cards will cost them as well during the video without pausing it and looking up prices every 15 seconds haha. Finally did a deck tech - been running this for about 9 years. Slightly different build I pilot but has 3-0 at GPs recently. I fondly recall the Prof telling me I was an evil man for playing this deck at GP Birm hehe. If you build it people will hate you though ;)

Probably one of the decks I've been most surprised to run into in the format (and with the diversity of this format that's saying a lot). It was a wonderful deck, super challenging to beat, and I'd love to see your take on it.

I'm playing in a pauper tournament next Saturday. If I run into a lot of U/B control, I might think of making this deck to get vengeance! U/B control makes me miserable and it was basically the only deck I ran into during my last pauper tournament
Hi Prof, some 20 years ago I made a deck based on Nightmares from Odyssey block (Faceless Butcher, Petravark, Soul Scourge, etc). The goal was to exile opponent's creatures, life, cards and lands as your creatures come into play. It turned out it can be a deacent pauper deck. Maybe this could be the next one you try out and fine tune?
Get first with this deck felt so dirty, but oh so good. Blew out people left and right cause no one expects the instant speed edicts. Their faces of misery were truly beautiful...
I think the better upgrade to Diabolic Edict would be Geth's Verdict. You basically get the exact same effect as Edict (At instant speed still) while also pinging for 1. The price of 1 Chainers would get you an entire playset easy (Though it is nothing close to being as cheap as Diabolic).
I would like to see a deck that is both green/white and the engine is life gain gives counters to creatures as well. My own version runs archangel of thune and sunbonds being the main pieces.
I first played against this deck on MTGO a few months ago and my opponent was consistently able to rip off a land destruction spell every turn for the first eight turns. After that point I stopped being able to hit land drops every turn and it was all over. I was playing kuldotha boros and didn't even get a chance to cast a single spell. I think that was the last pauper league I played in, so this deck (along with delver being 40% of the meta) really did a good job of keeping me away from the format.
To make up for potentially ruining the tournament practice room for the next week or two, could you do a tech on a three color deck? (that's not tron, affinity, or kitty) I want to see your take on what is supposed to be impossible in pauper.
I have a standard deck idea that uses two Squees a Gilded Lotus and a paradox engine to get infinite historic cast triggers with Diligent Excavator. It's not good, but you're good at brewing so could you please look into this combo?

I run a BR Ponza, massive fun to pilot. Plus it gives me a way to remove the bane of Pauper, Guardian of the Guildpact.
