Yes, my face is out of focus. Let's pretend that's my totally-intentional gift to you all. No, I will not call the camera cutout content feature anything other than 'Dynamic Island' - let's not fool ourselves.
The slight blur gives such a soft feel which I didn't even notice until I read this. Also, funny thing, I was told that the live alerts settings show up in settings when you type "island" I'm not really in sync with apple stuff but... what's up with the nib of your apple pencil 👀 Superb video! Loved your insights man. Cheers!
Yo bro, I found you through Reddit. Love your quality review and the fun aspect. Please don't become like these big YT'ers with too much annoying clickbait.

The music, long format, laid back yet informed delivery, that and more it's all working. I hope u get all the shine u deserve. Imma see what else u got, stay real man. PS, AI got me so scared man
This is the best tech review I have seen on this entire platform, but I don't see that lightly. Even with a deep fried attention span like mine I watch the start to finish without interruption, it's so well done and honest, and... Human
My OP 9 Pro was dying, and your video on the 12 made me confident to stick with oneplus and I'm so glad I did! Really enjoyed this video too, keep it up man!
Hell yeah! I love the OP12, and honestly unless someone desperately needed the new waterproofing on the OP13, I think the 12 is gonna last a crazy long time
Thanks for the detailed review J! Love how cozy and detailed this video was. I hope plenty of people pick up the 13! I just got my own 12 and I've been so happy with it, OnePlus makes such great phones. You and Juan Bagnell are probably the only ones in the youtube review mediasphere trying to break through the samsung and apple noise. Also, I've been loving the Buds 3! Thanks for sending em! Keep up the good work!
@@Wildman_TechOh also for the notification issue, you can enable notification history as a workaround until that issue gets (hopefully) fixed? Thank you for applying art to the review even down to the music (especially the song you picked for the camera section. I'm a sucker for good key tickling.) subbed. Looking forward to future content.
This was an excellent review of the new 13. I pre-ordered mine and got a free watch, with my OP11 trade in, it came out to about 550 USD. Worth it for me as I'll run the thing for 2-3 years.
1st time viewer of your content i enjoy the way U went in depth with the important features and bought fun to and real world environments 😂 to your reviews i definitely be dropping in to see your takes Thank you
This was such a nice video. You're really carving out a good niche in the tech space. It seems like you're really looking out for the consumer with your observations and opinions and I appreciate that. Excited for your future uploads
First review of yours that I've seen and I'm very impressed. Any review that doesn't have some criticisms is more of an advertisement IMO, so i much appreciate you calling out things you don't like. Only feedback i have is upgrade your mic for your desk shots; you sound a bit distant and hollow.
Great review and I see that you put a lot of effort into this. Besides the out of focus issue, you'd need a better microphone. Too much echo in the room. Also the music volume is so loud and distracting.
Was looking forward to your view on this since I used your OnePlus 12 videos last year to make a judgement on purchasing it. Glad I did. Keep up the great natural calm content. Prefer it to a lot of the other tech TH-camrs out there.
No one reviews this camera like you. You just keep it plain, simple and realistic for us humans. That isn't to say I'm not a techy because I am BUT, all I need the phone to do is what I ask, do it well and its back in the case. Thanks for this review. Mine supposed to arrive on the 22nd. Thanks for what you do.
Great video review for a great phone, man. I would only ask for you to balance the audio levels a little better, your voice is too soft against the music, and its not cutting through well enough. Lowering the bg music volume would do it, I think. Keep it up, you just got a new subscriber.
Ugh, I completely agree. My lesson learned on this video (besides checking my camera focus frequently) is to just hold the mic up to my face instead of fighting room noise and music levels with cruddy vocal tracks. Thanks for the sub!
bro this is one of the best review of op 13 also you will gain many more subscribers in less time and will become one of the best tech reviewers well done bro and don't forget me
great video, In NZ these phones are very tricky to get , i am going to ditch my 15 pro max and get a oneplus 12 i still think that will be good enough for 2 years, i watched your oneplus 12 review also
No wonder cameras are that important to you, given the care and creativity invested in the production of this video. It looks amazing! I was kinda shocked to realize you aren't a much larger channel...hoping you become one soon! Love the approach, the delivery, attentiveness to details - some of which I haven't seen anywhere else, the fun bits...all of it! 👍👍 As for the phone, I like the design; mainly the flat sides and the minimally curved screen, but everything else is more or less the same as on the OnePlus 12...so I'm keeping my 12 for another year. Oh and I'm in the EU, so Chinese phones are not only more expensive for some reason - the version you're paying $899 for, we're paying €1.149, but there's also the new no chargers in the box issue too...smh. These supervooc chargers cost additional €50 - 60. Oh well...I'll stop whining now, lol! Wishing you all the best with the channel, it's fantastic and cheers from Denmark!
Same. Verizon user here and glad he included it. That, and the phone having reverse wireless charging. This is the only review I've seen that's mentioned those. Am also curious about WiFi calling though
32:40 there are actually some rumors about the "OnePlus 13 Mini" coming out Q2 2025, with a 6.31 inch display... I'm hoping it's true: if they keep all of the amazing features of the OP13 and just make it smaller it will for sure be a great replacement for my OnePlus 7 Pro
Very good review and I like the format, but the audio balance in the video is all over the place. Sometimes it's quite hard to hear what your'e saying when the mic sounds like its coming from the camera and not the portable, and the music is a bit too loud compared to the commentary.
Awesome video. I'm thinking of upgrading from a Pixel 6, and I'm torn between OnePlus 13 and the pixel 9 pro series. I love stock Android and things like call screening, spam detection etc, but like you said the new pixels are a lot of money for not a lot of hardware. Keep it up!
Got the OP 12 16/512GB about 10 months ago and it is solid, OxygenOS 15 made it even better! Really happy unlike I was really frustrated with my previous OP 10 Pro. The 13 is not much of an upgrade, especially when it comes to camera modules, and if you willing to shell out USD900/+,, then go for 13, otherwise 12 is solid and will save you few USD100s. I shall wait for next iteration of OP and hope Elite 2 will bring strong features and performance compared to * Gen 3 and much better camera modules.
I’ve subbed mainly due to the hosepipe scene 😂 on a serious note great review and I’ve just gone back to Oneplus phone watch, buds and case. No charger though 🤔 uk.
The default is 1x, and it does actually accommodate zooming out to .8x. Obviously, it’s all the same sensor so the results are still decidedly average, but it does help you capture group selfies a little better! I’m still a huge proponent of just flipping the phone around and blind-firing with the main sensor.
@ally05108 pixels have the best selfie cams on Android, but iPhones have good front facing cameras too. Some folding phones let you use the main camera with a large display underneath as well, so check out your options there too!
I've watched too many reviews on this phone. The answer is no unless you really care about curved screens or expect to have the phone for a long time and are concerned about software updates beyond 2027
love your videos man, watched the op 12 review and subbed back then but this time the music is just too loud, quite hard to focus on what you're saying. Add the reverb/echo of the room and your voice gets really hazy.
I am watching with My LG V60 Now and I did buy a Chinese Version of Oneplus 13 White Chinese Version while I was in Hong Kong last November .. I do get 2 days battery life out of a charge BUT Only with 4 hours and 30 mins screen on time. I wonder what I can do as other people seem to be getting over 8 or 9 hours screen on time 😥 I like the Portrait Camera mode but zoom is not that good .. I like using the AI Editing tool and the Chinese Built in Music Player can play DSF files which I also like as well as the Super fast charging and lighter weight than LG V60 .. Hey man. Thanks for your review. Would you be so kind as to simply recommend me a phone. Anything but am iphone. Thank you. Any phone. All I will say is I'm not a gamer
Totally depends on your budget! If gaming/cpu performance isn't important for you, the Pixel lineup is really good. I do like OnePlus a lot, but the software isn't up to par sometimes, and it's harder to find good deals through carriers if you'd rather pay over time for a phone.

I think they should improve the selfie camera and it's video capability. I always get women super into OnePlus up until I tell them the selfie camera is only OK. They want to look great talking to their boyfriends using video apps.
Dude great review! Thanks! can you please confirm if we can use AI writing tools in apps like INSTA, facebook & others to do grammer check & to change the tone to casual, formal professional etc? Or to write in the comments under posts with help of AI writing tools? Like in Galaxy devices?
@Wildman_Tech so do you think they'll introduce this is future? Because i really use that feature on my galaxy s23... to check grammatical errors on my comments or to change the tone..so this feature is a bit important to me🙂& also do you think the cameras & video quality on oneplus 13 are better than s23 (base model) ? Please answer both my questions thanks
@@Mike-wz2ve I certainly expect they'll add it eventually, but it's so odd that they haven't already added it, I can't make any promises. Regarding the cameras, the OP13 absolutely outshines the S23 lineup. I think the S24 Ultra would be an interesting comparison, but there's no contest between the S23 and OP13.
Feels like I've been watching reviews on this phone for the last 24 hours deciding if I should upgrade from my S23 ultra and I gotta say this is the best one I've seen so far!! Glad I found you through your reddit comment 🫡
Yay! If you need to upgrade quickly, this is an awesome choice. If you have time to wait, we're going to get so many cool releases this year, with this new chip and battery tech. Combine that with a lousy worldwide economy, and I'm optimistic we're going to see good deals on new phones this year.

It's definitely improved a lot. It happens 10% as much as on the OP12, I'd say
So based on it working on Verizon does it work for Visible wireless?
I haven't tried Visible specifically, but I'm quite sure it would work on that too! If nothing else, perhaps you'd need support to provision it

Dude great review! Thanks! can you please confirm if we can use AI writing tools in apps like INSTA, facebook & others to do grammer check & to change the tone to casual, formal professional etc? Or to write in the comments under posts with help of AI writing tools? Like in Galaxy devices?
Interestingly, this feature exists on OnePlus Nord phones but not on any of their flagship phones currently, so no, not yet!
I think the S24 Ultra would be an interesting comparison, but there's no contest between the S23 and OP13.
jack harlow is reviewing gadgets how?
Y'know, I'll take it 😂
Feels like I've been watching reviews on this phone for the last 24 hours deciding if I should upgrade from my S23 ultra and I gotta say this is the best one I've seen so far!!
