I must say, for a game that took place over two decades ago, the video quality is quite superb.

Agbayani scoring the go-ahead-runs twice = top of 8th inning and top of 10th inning

Walking in the final run to send the opposing squad to the WS is the most mets thing possible lmao.

The true end of the Braves era of dominance. They would win weak divisions after but they were always a team built for the summer!

As a Mets fan this is hard to watch. Especially after that big comeback to take the lead and still blow it.

If Mets had won this game, AND game 7 was also another nail-biting game, this LCS would be considered the greatest LCS of all time since the LCS went to 7 games in 1985
Kenny Rogers was supposed to start this game on normal rest, but Valentine and the Mets lost confidence in him after his two postseason starts (although he was ok in game 2, unti; that 6th inning). They went with Leiter on short rest in this game 6. If the Mets won this game 6, Mets would have used Rick Reed for game 7 on short-rest as well (Reed pitched nicely on game 4)
In that 7th inning, both Robin Ventura and Edgardo Alfonzo almost hit home runs to right field. Of course, Piazza was the one to hit one out over right field
Melvin Mora and Todd Pratt became stars for the Mets in this 1999 postseason. So many clutch moments
Sadly, Armando Benitez and John Franco broke the Mets hearts in this game

I still remember watching this game on the edge of my seat as a kid. I almost died. And then the Braves got swept by the Yankees and I was crushed.

Yeah that was pretty nuts. The Braves were highly competitive with the Yankees-actually had a five games better regular season record. It should have been a hard-fought seven game series. Two things interfered. To some degree I think the Braves were a bit shell-shocked when the Mets battled back from being down 0-3 to damn near force a 7th game, and they didn’t have much left after this game. But even then, while they were overmatched in Games 2 and 4, Games 1 and 3 were utterly winnable for the Braves and Bobby Cox actually screwed them over there by being the original Grady Little before Grady Little was Grady Little-a.k.a. not knowing when to take his starter out. Maddux and Glavine had pitched great through 7 in Games 1 and 3, probably should have been taken out even to start the 8th (especially Glavine, having just been sick and having to be scratched from a scheduled Game 1 start). But even if they were allowed to start the inning in the 8th, they both showed clearly that they had nothing left at the beginning of the inning and should have been removed before they each coughed up the leads they had held through 7. The Braves had a solid bullpen that year, including a closer more than capable of going 2 innings if need be. Plus, Maddux and Glavine weren’t at their best much of that year anyway. Cox did not use his bullpen properly in that World Series and that’s what turned an evenly-matched series into a sweep.

I'm not sure what the situation with the color is-- all these games I'm uploading are just full games I've been able to find online that I haven't seen posted on TH-cam. This particular one I found from MLB Film Room, but there are also a few on Facebook, surprisingly enough. Here's a link to other full Mets games on MLB Film Room: www.mlb.com/video/?q=full+game+mets&qt=FREETEXT.
