I just realized that when he said “Leave Gwen out of this” he was referring to his crime fighting. He never really told Peter to break up with Gwen since he knew that he was wrong about Peter and that the city needs Spiderman. Peter misunderstood this and tried to completely leave her but never lasted.
That wasn’t the case at all. He was telling Peter that he will make enemies, and enemies will go after the ones he loves. “Leave me Gwen out of this” means to stay away from her. To keep her safe. Out of love for his daughter and Peter attempts to do it out of love for her.

I mean in the end we see that canon can be changed without bad consequences, but then why indian spideys world was harmed. So either way I didn't really get this canon concept or writers made it a bit complicated.
What captain Stacey said here is actually the truth even in real life. If your enemy can't hurt you because you are too powerful, they will hurt you in another way, they will attack your most precious stuff or loved one just to get to you.
This scene is amazing, both actors were really great, George’s death moment was really touching But the thing about Captain’s and Gwen’s deaths is that there was more of their fault than Peter’s: George died because he was too brave and went to take down the Lizard with no backup and then stayed 1-1 with the enemy (and Captain knew for sure that Lizard was stronger and he didn’t stand a chance). So did Gwen - she went to help Peter literally in the eye of the storm also because she was too brave, she was also aware of t(e risk yet she did it and fall out were quite predictable. Basically, Electro didn’t knew about Gwen and Harry wasn’t actually thinking of killing her. That is, I believe, the saddest and also very realistic part - they didn’t die because of they weren’t saved, but because they were aware of possibles end of their bravery and yet they did what they did

i always say this was an underrated moment from the amazing spider-man and it warm my heart that they reference it in across the spiderverse, and it became a plot reference explaining why spider-man will experience worse things than just uncle ben
I think losing uncle Ben was way worse for Peter than losing his girlfriend’s dad, who was actually his enemy for most of this movie.
@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast the diference is that he lost uncle ben when he wasn't fully spider-man. While he lost captain stacy while he was spider-man hitting the nail on the idea that you can't save everybody despite all those powers and the resposability.
