Bolt that comes with the lines. You will break the bolt if you use OEM torque spec. Check with manufacturer for the right value but I think it’s close to 13-15 ft lbs.
I refurbished my calipers and was mounting them last night. Trying to torque the banjo bolt to oem spec and stripped the threads in the caliper 😢. After some research I found that the banjo bolt on the car might not be the original one. Fml
LOVE your videos! Crisp and clear videos along with great commentary.
I'm glad you like the commentary. I get self-conscious that I don't sound enthusiastic enough but I'm a pretty stoic in real life.
Nice vid, keep em up! 1st person pov is always interesting to watch.
Thanks. Video for the rears coming up next.

DIYGuys do one on how to lube the shift linkage
That I've done many many times and can easily do a video on. Give me two weeks for that one!
Omg! ANOTHER DIY I've been wanting to do. You are literally the best dude. What wheels do you have?!
Not my car but these are Volk TE37s. Glad you wanted to do this DIY. Rear stainless steel brake lines coming up next.

Did you use the oem banjo bolt or the banjo bolt that came with the SS braided lines?
Bolt that comes with the lines. You will break the bolt if you use OEM torque spec. Check with manufacturer for the right value but I think it’s close to 13-15 ft lbs.
Once you've removed the rubber line from the hard line, won't brake fluid just pour out from the hard line?
It depends on how much has already bled out of the system when you disconnect the line from the caliper. But generally yes.
Love the videos
What kind of wheels are those?
Do you hit the track with those wheels?
Those are Volk TE37s. These are not my wheels, they are a friend's wheels. No track time on his car.
If you use oem banjo bolt, what is torque spec?
25 ft-lbs I believe.
