If it wasn't so awful it would actually be funny. Maybe that's the answer. Maybe we should start laughing at ourselves. So lets see, today that little pimple on my face is not a zit but the first sign of leprosy.

You cannot fathom how helpful hearing this story is to me. I'm 63 years old, and have suffered from severe health anxiety since my early 20's. I've lost years to it. It's hard for people to understand how terrifying it is, & how deep the CERTAINTY is that one is sick....SSRI'S helped pull me out of it 20 years ago- but are now causing a worsening of my RLS/myoclonic jerks/general twitching-cramping. Currently, I'm a little haunted by the old ALS fears. Sucks.
But please- keep helping us all with your testimonials! You're doing a great service.

I know what you mean about insomnia being so terrifying. It's utterly awful. Like I can't put into words how bad it is. I had a 9 day long panic attack when I was pregnant with my second child and I thought I was going to die. I even told my husband to take good care of my daughter because I wasn't going to make it. I went on 3 day stretches with NO sleep. I would pace the house all night long and never even sit down. I ended up in the emergency room and begged the doctor to knock me out for the rest of my pregnancy. They all laughed at me but I was dead serious. It was near impossible getting though that pregnancy, but I made it through thank God. I've had other bouts of insomnia throughout my life and it's just terrible. I've had health anxiety for over 25 years now and it's caused massive suicidal tendencies. Sometimes I'd rather be dead than go through this anxiety.

I have had all this too. Crippling insomnia leading to bizarre audio and visual sensations, all over muscle twitching leading to ALS fears that saw me go to ER multiple times for unbearable anxiety. Really bad phobia of vomiting my whole life, and constantly checking my body for anything that feels off, and usually attributing it to any disease I’m fearing at the time (ALS right now!).. it’s so so exhausting, I hope I can overcome this thing

  • @daniellepeterson2232

Hearing this testimony shows me that I am not alone, and neither are you! This ALS scare has really taken the wind out of me, not quite to the point of being suicidal, but just thinking I’m dying and loosing interest in things. My logical brain knows it’s anxiety, but it just takes over. The music I’m your head really stood out to me, because literally every day I wake up to some song playing in my head, nothing unpleasant or bad, but I do hear music weather it’s a song from the radio or from a cartoon or something… very interesting. It’s really reassuring to know that I’m not alone or weird. Thank you for your videos

god...i know what the insomnia is like because of my health anxiety, could not sleep for weeks because of a few symptoms and convincing myself that i probably have cancer, really the worst, and the lack of sleep doesn't help either, because it will put me on fatigue mode, of course my anxiety would automatically add that symptom to why i have cancer when indeed, i do not have, it's nice hearing it from someone, i hope mine helps you too in a way because we are really not alone in this and i hope that you know that just you, uploading these videos about your experience with health anxiety comforts other people and me

My health anxiety is a relatively new thing. It started happening about 6 months ago. I thought I was having a heart attack. Thought I had a brain tumor. Worried about an aneurysm. And have started going down the ALS rabbit hole this past month. You look up muscle twitching and stiffness and the first thing that pops up is ALS. The sheer amount of panic that followed that was debilitating. I’ve only recently been affected by it and already I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

It has honestly been eating me up ever since. I came across your channel and I just can't express how grateful I am of how much you cover over health anxiety and bringing so much attention to it. I really feel like I'd be more lost if I haven't found your channel. And hearing your journey to overcome such a time in your life.... you're a warrior and a hero in my eyes, Cherelle ❤❤❤❤

Not being able to sleep is the worst thing for anyone suffering from anxiety. It trashes your adrenals and if you cannot sleep your muscles and nervous system cannot recover and this is probably why you get all the totally bizarre symptoms. Think rest and digest.
