LaPorta is definitely better than Hockinson. He's a better blocker and he gets more separation. He's already set NFL records for catches and yards for a TE. Most through first 4 games in NFL history.
AND, not even counting last night's numbers, he leads NFL tight ends in reception yards. And yeah, unbelievable to say, but he is a great blocker as a rookie tight end... Maybe a first.

Hockenson made a lot of business decisions with Detroit.

The score is 34-20. Bad/questionable calls go both ways and are part of the sport. You don't get to wipe away points just because you disagree with the call.

LaPorta is better than Hock. Hock dropped too many passes an went down way to easy. LaPorta is a more natural pass catcher an wayyyyy better blocker.

Hiring Dan Campbell might go down as one of the best moves the Lions organization ever made. If there was ever a guy who would relish in the opportunity to turn one of the historically worst franchises of all time around it would be him.
The best thing to happen to the Lions franchise, was William Clay Ford passing away, which led to his daughter Sheila Ford-Hamp's taking over as the NFL franchise's owner. He was hands down, THE absolute worst owner of a professional sports franchise in US history, if not the entire world!!
I just want to say Sam LaPorta is literally a top-5 tight end from the jump. He’s just a different type of DAWG. Brian Branch is a top-5 hybrid safety/corner.
LaPorta is better than Hock. LaPorta in 4 games has 6 receptions with 20+ yards... only 1 other TE has 4. Only 2 other TE have 3. 264 yards and 22 receptions. He's almost DOUBLED Addison's receptions. Granted he's had 4 games compared to 3, but he's legit. Great Hands. Great Routes. and the YAC??? He runs angry.

People don’t realize that when we traded stafford it was the the first domino in a rebuild, new GM, new coach and a lot of good first round picks, who did we get? A great tackle in penni, killed defense with hutch and now that the culture is there this team is ready to contend they just have to prove it now
