Game 2 he literally had game, and then plays 10 cost teach for no reason instead of trying to find 4 cost spell to close the game out (which he then finds after playing teach) 15:28
@@ryan2415 1 life 1 blocker left up (after spell deals with other one) 2 11k attackers plus leader and Augur w/ 6 don to split is guaranteed outside of opponent having like 14k in counter in hand
For match 2. If BB is plannign to play teachs, there is no reason to play the vasco, just lost 1k from hand. Also, the last turn, he should do 2 10k to c5 luffy, it will kill it, or the bloquers or drain hand, then use the teach and device who to freeze, if the luffy died, then freeze the sabo and could counter the 9k from leader, if the van augr is on hand. Also the previous turn the BY played sabo from hand and not from awakening, that means he don't have it in hand, so it's ok to dont hit lifes.
Btw, to know if Joe lost on purpose or just choked due to nerves would be useful to ask some of his previous BY opponents if he attacked into life or not.
Yeah the thing about it is that they played BY before, and that this is day 2 top 16 of a premier invite only event. If it was round 1 of a treasure cup then nobody would be saying anything
@ I do think you have a good point though at the end, where people don’t test their strongest matchups. I got cooked by Bonney playing Lucci in 07 for thinking it was free
It's my honest opinion that the people who regularly top big events like this are up to something shady - There's way too much of a luck element in TCGs to top so consistently when there's a pretty hard ceiling to how skilled you can be at a game like this.
I was in chat watching it with u seen u chatting, idk about cheating i think it was just crosses day bc in the last 2 bb games n the last game of the finals he was seeing ever card he need.
Its really weird the way Teach is playing, It looks like he doesn't even think at all or too fast with it ! In game 3, just 30 sec of reflexion could have win him the game !!! Look from 22:30 he chooses Van Augur instead of 4 cost Black Hole. 22 cards in trash at that moment so next turn kill Ivankov with 4 don and then its 11k with leader and 3x 12k(Its 2 times but he doesnt know yet) with BY only 4 or 5 left in hand 1 life 1 blocker. I will not develop about all the non sense attacks through the entire 3 games while saying in his itw that he played BY before ... So either this guy lost it all due to stress and thats fair but so unrealistic because he just had no gameplan against one of his best matchup or he got paid ! 3rd option is that he really have no clue about how BY works and how to play against it. It's really the lack of reflexion in specific & tough situation that triggers me the most What you think guys ? Great video & thanks to respect the player
@@pruvot-cavannalaurent3850 thank you for the comment, in my opinion its all about anxiety at this point, in the interview i saw i heard he was an ex by player so he know how the deck works, probably too much stress
The guy played game 1 very clean, and games 2 and 3 terribly. He could kill the ivankov like 5 times and won or at least put him in a winning spot, and he pass about it..i dont knowww
Luffy 5c is your only hope against BB. His opponent should have gone definitely 9k face into Finger Pistol to clear Luffy 5c on board and the other one in lifes (G3). Instead he decides to go for burges that does nothing in that spot even in the next turn. Btw the matchup for bb would be easier than appears in these games because you should starve. If luffy does not put face up lifes you easily wins. The lead effect is perfect to avoid Luffy go eat its life, so why would you do that for him? For free too 😂

Check the interview with the guy. Nerves got to him. NERVES GOT TO HIM!!!!
The Blackbeard 100% threw that match trashing all his doc q, laboons and not using leader ability

He had 2 blockers tho, how does he close game with a single removal?
it was hard to close there i think
