The boat is old, but looks very cool inside. However, that Center Cockpit KILLS. New 40 footers have more cockpit space nowadays. I'd definitely choose a 3-4 year old European from the Meds in this size for the same money.
Easy to explain: The cruising world is full of sailing experts, who based their entire expertise on hear-say and drunken opinions, mixed with a bit of commercial interests too. Hunter were hugely successful, in pushing boats in huge numbers out, but they received a bad reputation, because they were not all build to blue water cruising specifications, like this boat. And so what really: Neither is many of the European charter and day cruising focused brands, as for instance Benneteau or Bavaria. The fun thing is, the high quality and also high pricetag boat builders went out of business, because no one could afford their boats and Hunter went out of business, because they received a bad reputation essentially for building the boats, that most people could afford.
@@1corinthians15.1-4kjv very good point. But it is a great boat. I see the flaws indeed, I own a Hunter myself, in fact is my second one and If I change I want another Hunter.
Nice boat. Some weird features, as that under the berth bobble bath. Yeah, no wonder, that no one else has picked up on that idea. But, very beautiful for the pricetag and also seems to be build for real cruising. What about keel and rudder arrangement on this one?
Love these videos, it would be great though if you could mention some ball park pricing for the boats you are covering or even better the list price. Thanks
Excellent Vessel, Have you tried filming with a wide angle lens inside the vessel? A GoPro would be wonderful for the interior of this magnificent vessel!!!
I've owned a couple of Hunters. They're good boats but mainly due to their rigging they are great coastal cruisers. I wouldn't want to get caught in a mid-ocean hurricane in a Hunter.
Ive been wondering. If the genoa or the jibb are flapping in the wind, or you change tak that somtimes can be messy, how come the sails dont get torn on the radar? I have been sailing, but never with a radar that sticks 40-50 centimeters out from the mast.
Based on the last four sold in this year , this one will sell for $189,00 as the ECONOMY and current sales show in 2023..maybe less, the market for boats like trucks and cars is reaching all time lows!

@@gcanada3005 Never assume my friend. From my experience with Hunter sailboats I don’t like them the rig for one is a joke don’t try to go downwind with the main up cause the best you’ll do is a broad reach with those stupid swept spreaders unless you want to wrap the main around the spreaders. FYI Started sailing at 5 I’m now 62. Owned 5 sailboats over the years and still own two of them
@@OldGuySailing Sure you did, lol. Nobody believes you. That’s a gorgeous boat. That will go anywhere in the world, extremely comfortably. If you can’t sail a B&R, you might wanna ask for a refund on your cyber lessons. Which is as close to a boat as you’ve ever come.
Great video, I Jacuzzi tub. I didn’t see that one coming. This is one of the best boat I’ve seen. Thank you for your time.
Wow! Thats the one! - as soon as i hit the lotto I will be calling!

It does get caught tacking at times. I never felt it was at risk of tearing though. It’s a minor annoyance at worst (in my experience).
If this vessel comes back on the market - or any other Hunter 50CC for that matter - please let me know.
How much are they asking for that
Let us know ball park prices please
Asking $315

Ian, DUDE, you've got to work on NOT saying "ahh" so much!! One of the first things our college speech instructor beat out of us!!
Missing s specs and price. Folks dont want to waste thiers or your time.
your wrong--it is all there--
Think as you want but I wouldn’t sail that across any ocean and I could careless what you or anyone else believes
the tub is a waste !!
It’s a Hunter very few sailed well most were junk
My advice is to Run away and find a better boat
