- I've been loving my TRP DH EVO brakes, so I figured I'd try out their 12 speed mountain bike drivetrain.
Its got a great adjustable clutch to help it run quietly and it's compatible with a bunch of my existing SRAM drivetrain parts (Chain and cassette).
Installation of the shifter and derailleur is super easy and takes about 5 minutes total.
If you're looking for a drivetrain option that's tough and has a way stronger clutch than other options on the market, TRP is a great option!
Nice video, really smart of TRP to put that indicator for your B tension. It's like they used the good ideas from other ones and added more to it. If it works anything like their DH-R evo brakes it's going to be amazing!!
No joke - really nice feature on the b tension adjustment.
Quick link pliers!!! Best tool ever!
Curious to see what you think of the TRP stuff. Always nice to see more companies other than the big few doing new stuff!
Yeah, I said 'derailleur' instead of 'shifter' like 100 times. Sorry.
I watched your video when I installed it because I saw contradictory instructions for B tension, in the park tool vid they says to go to the second largest cog but in TRP vid good ol Dave mentioned to adjust the white line with the tip of the tooth... While he says it he was already on the largest cog since he was previously adjusting H limit? Anyway, with my Shimano xt 10-45 cassette in order to shift well the last two cog and remove slop I set the B tension white line just inside the tooths in the largest cog.
Im still puzzled but it works fine for me 😂
