Lol AEW doesn’t have a Jericho problem. The problem is almost their entire fans live in a Twitter bubble problem. He was accused and they turned on me simple as that. Before that he could do no wrong. As far as younger talent people forget Hook already beat jericho clean. In the rematch hook took a judas effect twice that only moxley has ever kicked out of. And jericho had to “cheat” to beat Hook. You don’t have to win to be put over. AEW has a smart mark fan problem.
It was briefly mentioned but the issue of them never finding a way to keep him and Sammy apart and him constantly doing factions is also a major reason. Look at the Callis feud, Sammy turns on Jericho, got suspended iirc and then comes back and is back on Jerichos side again. Hook should for sure leave cause they clearly don't value him having him lose to Jericho for that title, they really need to wrap feuds up better in general
After the whole footage debacle I'm just done with AEW altogether. They had me and then lost me, I can't stand Tony Khan and his sheer stupidity along with Jericos's lack of self-awareness
The best way to understand the downfall of Jericho is listen to every podcast Jim Cornette has done since AEW was formed. He perfectly explains the feelings of every fan that initially Jericho was a bright spot in the company but rather than groom quality talent as a veteran he went full-blown hulk hogan and manipulated Tony to let him keep his spot forever.
Yes holding the belt one time for a little over half a year is really pushing the Hogan vibes.😂 most of you who say this wasn’t even alive to watch WCW 1996-1999. Of course jericho is gonna be focused on big storylines he’s literally the biggest name they have especially when punk left……
The beginning of the Inner Circle was really awesome with Jericho but after that there wasn't much happening with him where I said, I was glad that Jericho was part of it.
It's frustrating that the one consistent brain disease older wrestlers develop is their unwillingness to put newer talent over because of ego, obviously contradicting the one defining life cycle of pro wrestling

Chris Overplayed his trait of being able to reinvent himself too much I mean its okay if he reinvents himself but he has to stay away on TV. people are oversaturated with his face always on AEW TV.
AEW really is WCW, Jericho is Hogan, Kingston is Macho Man, MJF is Sting, and all the great people we wanna see are the cruiser weights we actually wanna see but they can move up the card.
who wanted hook to win at the end of the day though? he just looks like a freshman in highschool trying to be tough most these wrestlers nowadays aren't believable. I don't care if he's taz's son hes tiny.
I haven’t gotten Jericho in AEW since day one. He looks old, out of shape & looks weak in the ring. If you asked me what the number one reason AEW is going to fail is, I would say Jericho….
Jericho being around isn’t the worst thing in the world if they used him right. I feel like it’s a mix of a bunch of thing especially Khan being a huge mark and Jericho starting to get into his own head and listening to his ego a lot more. Jericho is great at doing slight changes to make everything fresh but his new gimmicks of sorts have all been just lateral movements rather than his slight upgrades like “List of Jericho”, his slow talking, Codebreaker and savior. Him having a faction isn’t bad like Inner Circle which turned into JAS I think are good factions but there’s a lot of rehashing I mean JAS is just a slightly different Inner Circle. It’s really only a recent thing where we have been seeing him try and attach himself to a younger talent in order to maintain relevancy in the vain of brining up younger talent when it doesn’t nothing but just hurt Jericho. Now with this Learning Tree gimmick/faction, it’s really dumb why would you want to lean into the things people hate about you unless he’s doing it on purpose to be a heel the way Cody was being a heel by not turning heel. Should have just let Big Bill do his own thing or maybe even stay a team with Ricky Starks since they were actually pretty good together. Him trying to bring HOOK in when HOOK himself has been stuck doing the same thing ever since he debut wasn’t the best thing to do. Look at things the feuds would have been better if they ended sooner, like if HOOK just beat him and left it at that it would be ok. Honestly should have just let HOOK stay FTW champion if he is going to leave or not. Its a title created by his father and its should be doing the same it did for Taz, be a championship to elevate HOOK since he isnt getting shots at other titles instead having loss and regain the title is pointless while its an unsanctioned title

Jericho's GOATED, and I'm excited for the Learning Tree character. I also don't think this is a Jericho problem. This is a TK booking problem, as most things are with this. I wholeheartedly support the first two on this list happening, but I think they just lasted too long. You COULD'VE worked Eddie back into the BCC/JAS story after Eddie did something else, or at least had Eddie win their final match. And i actually find the Kenny/Jericho pairing to challenge Don's family to be a great touch.
I wouldn't entirely say it was a TK booking problem either, the Golden Jets was promising and I was hyped but Kenny's injury ended things prematurely, you can't blame TK, Kenny or anyone for that, it was just one of those things, it's a shame though, Golden Jets could have been an amazing run and I do think that given their many feuds in the past, the two have a lot of chemistry with each other and with them both being celebrated legends in the business, it's a no-brainer. I hope if Kenny does return to the ring some day, they bring it back.
Jericho is an actual genius.Let me explain. Vince forsaw the things happening with him so he sent his best agent Jericho to help and make the potential competition so when he went under,he unstructed jericho to bring down the competition which by that point was the only real one, thus insuring that WWE stays protected even when he is gone. I mean Vince wasnt eve mad at Jericho leaving, hell he let him go. Think of it like Dumbbledore(Vince) and Snape(Jericho). He was sent to the enemy to protect WWE(Harry).
Jericho was the right guy to be the first AEW World Champion.. He’s been pretty terrible since then & is long overdue a break from TV & so are the fans .. He hasn’t gotten anyone over .. Some of the cringiest segments .. Terrible factions .. And don’t get me started on the multiple failed attempts at new “monikers” ..
First I hated this angle. Now this week has me intrigued as Jericho knows 100% what is being said and this week he seemed to be leaning into it. I now want to see where this goes. He’s still currently cringe but let’s see where this goes this month.
Eddie Kingston wouldn’t be television anyway. What would beating Jericho do for him? Takeshita hasn’t been elevated by anyone, and neither has Hook. They didn’t just feud with Jericho
AEW isn't booking Jericho poorly.. HE is demanding these bookings. People need to realize Chris Jericho is a has been wannabe rockstar from an era that no longer exists in music. Because of this, he thinks Fozzy is a major ordeal (it's not). Add into this the fact he is not a naturalized US citizen but for some reason is hyper involved in being a Trump supporter adds layers that he is not all there mentally. He really holds no value anymore when one takes off the nostalgia goggles and sees him for what he is. Hell, he doesn't even care about the wrestling fans.. look at how he presents himself. At least Flair and Hogan both tried to stay in some kind of conditioning.
Jericho has come full circle. He’s now become the very person that caused him to leave WCW 25 years ago. What irony.

The person who first made the tweet backtracked. Supposedly.....
@@spongeblue_depressedpants no... wrong. They backtracked because they weren't referring to kylie rae... but kylie raes situation got uncovered. There could be more victims of jericho
arena empty wrestling is the problem 😂
not really
@@KingBlitz800A shrinking audience is a bad sign IMO.
@@perceivedvelocity9914If you actually look at numbers their audience has pretty much stayed around the same since the start.
The arenas wouldn’t be empty if the product was watchable
Well, a clown can actually DRAW. What's Tony Khan's problem?? 🤡🤔
🎈😑🍦 📖🖍🤡 🤸🏼🎪🤸🏼♀️
Let’s not forget that Jericho derailed Stark’s push and almost killed MJF’s AEW career if MJF wasn’t able to turn it around cause every other wrestlers couldn’t
Because Max had the best feud in company history afterwards
Lol AEW doesn’t have a Jericho problem. The problem is almost their entire fans live in a Twitter bubble problem. He was accused and they turned on me simple as that. Before that he could do no wrong. As far as younger talent people forget Hook already beat jericho clean. In the rematch hook took a judas effect twice that only moxley has ever kicked out of. And jericho had to “cheat” to beat Hook. You don’t have to win to be put over. AEW has a smart mark fan problem.
You forgot jericho vs adam cole feud
I think everyone did. Thankfully.
Tbf if I was Jericho I'm not sure I'd put over Kingston at all.
Man, I saw that street fight with big show and Chris. I just wish big show should have done more than that match.
Hook should turn on the FTW championship and became TNT champion or International champion a real championship
He's not destroying his legacy. We're long past that. It's destroyed. Now we're just seeing how much deeper he can bury it.
He has become what he hated about WCW he has become the old white guy that won't leave and buries young guys.
Cool video as always Tom, how about Chris Jericho's Undisputed Championship title reign
What about the fuer with Adam Cole?
I honestly haven't enjoyed any of Chris Jericho's work since his list of Jericho, gimmick.
Jericho trademarks 2345 nicknames and marks mistake it for “reinventing”. Bunch of fools
In the 5 years of AEW, the ONLY wrestler to come out of a Jericho angle not having their career hurt is MJF.
Weather you like him or not he's a top guy in AEW. That says everything you need to know about AEW and why their ratings on going lower and lower.
It's frustrating that the one consistent brain disease older wrestlers develop is their unwillingness to put newer talent over because of ego, obviously contradicting the one defining life cycle of pro wrestling
It really makes you appreciate something like the Wyatt Family vs ECW Originals feud. Hell, wasn't the entirety of the Dudleys' last WWE putting over new teams?
chris is my hero and over the years has reinvented himself multiple times but now he needs to take some time off and think of some new character and gimmick. He can still go in the ring just needs some time off and can reinvent himself again. The Learning Tree is not going to be any good for him.
i dont usually agree with a lot of your videos, especially on AEW but this is spot on
Chris Overplayed his trait of being able to reinvent himself too much I mean its okay if he reinvents himself but he has to stay away on TV. people are oversaturated with his face always on AEW TV.
Chris Jericho is kind of a problem now but he's definitely not AEW's biggest problem. That would be Tony Khan.
AEW really is WCW, Jericho is Hogan, Kingston is Macho Man, MJF is Sting, and all the great people we wanna see are the cruiser weights we actually wanna see but they can move up the card.
AEW is nowhere near WCW. WCW was actually competition to WWE compared to AEW. Plus MJF has his own gimmick.
who wanted hook to win at the end of the day though? he just looks like a freshman in highschool trying to be tough most these wrestlers nowadays aren't believable. I don't care if he's taz's son hes tiny.
The majority wanted Hook to win
the majority just didnt want to see jericho win
I agree he should take a break and has go away heat..but that doesn't take away from the fact he's pretty much a Mt Rushmore wrestler.
No. No he is not.
I remember these fans of 'real wrestling' saying the same thing about Cody.
AEW shows are like a daycare for incels.
Can’t forget the Ricky starks feud. That’s when I started to groan
I haven’t gotten Jericho in AEW since day one. He looks old, out of shape & looks weak in the ring. If you asked me what the number one reason AEW is going to fail is, I would say Jericho….
What about Tony?
It’s the same as the Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Triple H, The Rock, Young Bucks, Kenny Omega problems what a shocker
Hey, it's the modern-day "That doesn't work for me, brother," Hulk Hogan! Hey, Hogan played bass in a band, and Jericho tried his best with his band Fozzy. The similarities are kinda there.
Jericho's social media antics and Kylie Rae incident made him more unlikeable as of late, at least for me.
Jericho in AEW was my favorite AEW championship run. Didn‘t watch the product lately, but if he is champions again, I will watch again.
I will say with lionheart, seeing the old lion covers from wcw is pretty cool. Always will be a Jericho fan, but it’s getting old man.
As a huge kenny fan, I forgot that WreslteDream match ever happened
Jericho needs to just do guest commentary!
Chris Jericho Shiuld just retire He did everything that needs to be done he is a legend he did pretty much everything
Yet to win a rr
@@ravindunethsara7857 hence why i said pretty much anything all he didnt do is win the rumble and mitb thkse are the only two acomlishments he need but he has enough to retire he has nothing left to prove
Calling his faction the Jericho Appreciation Society was the moment I definitely knew he’d gone too far and had too much power.
Chris Jericho just need to retire already. Even I'm getting tired of seeing him in AEW, and he's doing a third stable now. It's getting old, and repetitive. Jericho is now became a very stale wrestler.
Hulk Hogan 2 over here lol
Chris is that you??.
Nice PR attempt Mr Jericho.
Jericho thinks he’s Ric Flair, but he’s just the old guy who swears he can still do it so people let him pretend and clap.
First I hated this angle. Now this week has me intrigued as Jericho knows 100% what is being said and this week he seemed to be leaning into it. I now want to see where this goes. He’s still currently cringe but let’s see where this goes this month.
TOP3WRESTLING BACK AGAIN
Eddie Kingston wouldn’t be television anyway. What would beating Jericho do for him? Takeshita hasn’t been elevated by anyone, and neither has Hook. They didn’t just feud with Jericho
So all young talent should have winning streaks because one loss buries them?
I hear the argument but I'm loving the learning tree storyline.
I'm waiting for the sebastian bach gimmick.
I'm glad Jericho won. It makes it real, otherwise, y'all would have said it was predictive booking and cried about that!
Get outta here Chris!
Has?! No no no they have had this problem
This has been a bit of a talking topic quite recently
I honestly love the learning tree gimmick (delusional face), and it would be perfect transition for him to become a manger from a wrestler.
