    There was a time where a friend keeled over on a walk up a big hill and none of us knew how to make a stretcher. Luckily she was okay in the end but relying on the emergency services that night was not good for many reasons and if we could have just carried her to a main road we could have got her to hospital about 45 minutes sooner. Thanks great advice!

    I know it's an old video but I want to help your algorithm by commenting because I appreciate your videos which I was looking for to make cots for my children and me and I prefer to use natural materials even at home I like the lashing and bar techniques for stability and you are relevant if an older video helps someone in the present the buscraft community is growing and including me thank you

    In the BSA we learned how to make a similar stretcher, but instead of a poncho, we just zig-zagged a rope down the length of it to make an improvised sort of webbing.

    this is good to make a bed 2 right? i would probably dig in the ground a little bit under so i dont touch it when i lay down and then raise it a little bit with some tree trunks

  • @candiced710
    @candiced710 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah if you make the bunkbed different you could easily grab it and go if you had to. Well done Corporal!

    There certainly appears to be a lot of cedar in your area. At least that looks like cedar. I could be wrong

    Hey Corporal, appreciate what you do, thanks. I asked this question on one of your last videos but you must have missed it or i missed your answer. I am wondering what the weight limit of the poncho is when used this way? I carry this exact same poncho and have for yrs and would love to try some of the things you do with them. But i am 375 lbs and dont want to destroy it. If it hasnt been tested, maybe im the one to test it. lol

    • @recall5811
      @recall5811  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +bobby keller I am 250lbs. This set up is just temporary and should not be used long term. As far as the weight limit.......I have no idea, we are using the gear for means other than it was intended. Go to Tentsmiths.com. they make a canvas that is perfect for long term. tentsmiths.com/tent-camp-accessories/ground-cloth.html

      @kellerknives 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Corporals Corner Absolutely , Id only use the poncho in a pinch. I have other means of bedding for every day use, but i like having options and other plans in the mental tool box.
