Lizzie is phenomenal! You go girl! I am a 63 y.o. woman, overweight, and a carpenter. I started the trades when women were told to go home with your children. I forgot, I’m also Africa-American. Breaking into a trade dominated by White males, was hard. One older White male told me every time he looked at me I made him sick to his stomach. I was keeping a man from feeding his family. I asked him , “Didn’t my family deserve to eat?” Being someone who could bite back, every time I was bitten, won the teams respect. Stand tall, girl. No one attacks a tiger. Blessings.

I love the second one. I do ballet, and there were at least 3 boys in my class. ( i moved up a level ) I love how he didn’t give up. Thank you Dhar Mann! My little cousin, I asked him if he wants to do ballet. He replied with “Noooo.. Ballet is for girls!”

Me and my daughter love to watch all the Dhar Mann videos so when we watched Lizzys episode when it first came out a while back we were blown away at how good she was at her success dance I said to my daughter "shes defo a professional dancer in real life" and I was right! The boy ballerino (that is what a guy can be called) episode...My wife had taken ballet one semester in college and I joined her the second semester. After two years, I was accepted into the Louisville Ballet Company. Ballet actually helped me as a receiver. I could make impossible catches and still maintain my balance and ended up playing semipro in Europe. Lynn Swann was the best ever after the Steelers had dance teachers work with the players.

@@Dmg09969 I wasn't trying to brag but wanted to describe how dance/ballet has its applications to sports. It also greatly reduced my injuries. At 68, I'm still coaching and playing basketball/volleyball with my teams. I'm having a very fun ride, for sure. I also happen to be an actor on a similar channel. I agree I thought that my size would affect my dance career but my parents were there to support me so that really helped me fell confident to do dance and now I dance a lot and she is a role model to me I love her so much I hope that nothing will stop her from dancing 😊

I have this amazing nephew who against all odds will be turning 40 in a few weeks. His story is really close to Lizzy's. He was born 2 months premature, breach & turning blue. He was immediately taken to Cleveland Metro Hospital where he spent the next 3 months, only being home a couple days and had to go back and over the next year he was in the hospital more than he was out. Being born early caused its own share of health issues, his lungs not developing so they're only about half the size of a typical adult being one, but he also had some fairly serious health issues that even going full term he would have had. He was born with a non-functioning endocrine system, non-functioning pituitary system, under active thalamus (that controls body temp so if he got cold he'd just continue to get cold and go into hypothermia but if he got to hot he would literally cook himself from the inside out), dwarfed arms (they're about a foot short of being able to stretch his arms out and from fingertip to fingertip and it being how tall he is) legally blind, under active immune system, severe cerebral palsy affecting both sides of his body but mostly from the waist down, he's legally blind, hydrocephalic which he had to have surgery on to implant a shunt before he was 6 months old. There's more there I just can't remember all of them. The docs had hoped they could get things under control by putting him on steroids so he started on those when he was 4 months old. They kind of control how badly things can be affected by various situations, but not as much as the hoped. They did tell my sister that he would have to be on the steroids for the rest of his life because being off of them can turn on him almost immediately and turn fatal. His bones tho have become brittle as a result of the steroids. They told us he'd never come out of NICU and when he did they told us he wouldn't live to see 2. As he kept beating the odds, the docs just kept coming up with things they felt he'd never be able to do. The steroids have had to be increased as he's gotten older and having to use them to get some of the low-functioning systems in his body but even when he was laying in the hospital, barely conscious and intubated and he was gaining weight even tho his nutrition was coming in IV form. He has now added diabetic to his list of health issues - which having a non-functioning endocrine system kind of was a given but his father had it and his maternal grandmother as well as an uncle did too - but the need for steroids has just increased. So by no fault of his own, he weighs quite a bit and is in a wheelchair so exercising is limited but he tries every day. But nothing stops this kid. He had 3 activities yesterday all within about 4 hours of each other so it felt like I was in the van all day. His mom, my sister, passed away 4 1/2 years ago from medical neglect and it's been so hard on me I could barely make the funeral arrangements so he stepped in and made all of them. He's the strongest and compassionate - as well as passionate for things that mean the most to him - but you can't meet him and not fall in love with him. Watching the vid of Lizzy reminded me so much of Jimmy when some of the kids he went to school with were horrible to him, even spitting on his wheelchair when he was out of it for whatever reason, but it was other classmates that stepped in and defended him. I think I saw a vid clip of Lizzy dancing in a hip hop routine and it was amazing. I hope she's able to continue to beat the odds taking on anything and everything she comes up against

For the second one I have a true story
My best friend (he was a boy) he got bullied by the other kids because he liked pink and unicorns so much that he actually wanted to move schools and he did. I visited him in the summer and he had changed from liking girly stuff to stuff like cars and his favourite colour now is blue. Because he changed schools I never get to see him and I really miss him.
Lizzy is an absolute ray of sunshine, her beautiful, kind nature is so very enchanting...
i loved the video about the girl who got fat shamed in dance because its really inspirational to people who get shamed about their body type and as long as your good at dance you can do anything even if your body is different from others :P

A friend of mine became a ballerina at the age of 25. She was a big girl too. Many of the other dancers tried to make her quit by pranking her and embarassing her. However, she stayed and proved them wrong. My friend is nowa ballet teacher. To follow your dream doesn't need a scale, race nor color. Never give up on yourself to please others. You go Lizzy.

This is what keeps me going! Seeing people very happy and just seeing people doing with a Love because I really want to become an artist and there’s this one girl actually two girls who are very mean and basically when I do my hair in a different way baby front of it and they always make fun of my art and everything I have like little mental breakdowns where I just sit in a corner and cry for like an hour straight And I don’t feel like saying those girls names because I don’t want them to get hated on. Sometimes these girls just make me not want to go to school, and it disturbs me so much and just makes me really sad.
