picture quality.
So sad, he passed away just after 1 year he performed this bbc program. He is missed and will remain in memorries forever. Thank you Sir.

This song was written by Hasrat Jaipuri. Also Shailendra wrote one song for the film - Dua kar gham e dil…. The rest were Rajinder Kishen songs.
this is a wonderful clip ! and the genius composer known for his versatile compositions proved that he was one of the greatest indian composers when he gave immortal music for anarkali . ye zindagi usiki hai , mujhse mat pooch , jaag dard-e ishq jaag and zindagi pyar ki do char ghadi were penned by rajinder krishan , aaja ab to aaja and dua ker gham-e- dil were by shailendra ,mahobbat aisi dhadkan hai and o aasman waale were written by hasrat jaipuri for this landmark movie ! thank you !

CR sang some film songs like kitna haseen hai mausam in azad , daane daane pe likha hai and kehte hain pyar kisko in baarish and non film songs including a bhajan ''na main roop dekhta na main naam dekhta''. he was a good singer too !

Anarkali had more than 11 songs. Believe it or not, 7 songs were composed by C Ramachandra in record TWO HOURS while travelling in Mumbai by local train.
Great legend Naushad had said in one interview "When producer used to come to me and ask me to compose songs in just couple of days, i used to request producer to contact C Ramachandra. C Ramchandra many times used to compose songs with lightening speed.

Superb singing and composition. I think, rather am sure that he sang this unique composition v effortlessly. The great thing about him was that his compositions are v v simple and the singers sang these without any trouble and stress. I have headed nearly all his compositions. I think Raga Bageshri was his favourite raaga. However if u listen to his compositions, That Kaafi was his favourite and a big nos of his songs were based on Ragas of That Kafi.
