@@TheVanillatech Unfortunately it has been that way for some time. Look at Kazmire who wasn’t invited to give their own Britain’s Geoff Capes the opportunity to win.
Then they sack their fellow Brit for Jon Pall a former arm wrestler by giving him an easy event to dominate in 84.
The biggest screw job came in 90’ when O.D. Wilson who was ahead by a considerable margin had the final event changed last minute to ensure victory to their “favored athlete” Jon Pall.
Also there’s no doubt that 2017 was tailored for Eddie. Same with the deadlift championships in 2016, I’d bet money that Pritchett would’ve lifted it as well had they not given Eddie a half hour celebration party.
So different “snakes” but same hole.
The purity declined after Kaz’s reign.
I had literally no idea he was actually a strongman competitor until I watched with interview with Loz

I was routing for Colin bryce its good to see an athlete combining both attributes of strength and endurance it was good to see a lighter athlete doing well. When i see Colin on TV now id have sworn he was a southerner born and bred must've lost his accent since coming down to England.

@@TheLunnyBear I totally disagree. Thor never said a bad word about ANY competitor in any meet that I ever watched him in, and I have watched WSM since the late 1980's. He is a quiet and reserved guy, the only time he ever shouted was when he told everyone he was the future of strength at Giants Live, and when he was psyching himself up for an event. He is a quiet giant, a family guy and pretty much a recluse - that much is evident on his YT videos.
THE OPPOSITE of narcassistic, then. Because all of his traits I mentioned, are the OPPOSITE of narcassistic.
EDDIE HALL on the other hand ... I don't even know where to start. If you have watched him, know him, listened to him over the years then you wouldn't / couldn't argue otherwise.
THOR made a legit challenge, the only one I have ever seen him make, on a dodgy event. EVERY STRONGMAN in history of the sport has challenged hundreds of decisions - it's part of the game. It's why Kaz was banned for 5 years.
