    I couldn't find any information comparing the sizes of Osprey Airporter Backpack Travel Cover.
    Would my Osprey Atmos 65L backpack fit in a small Osprey Airporter or would I need the medium Airporter? The Airporter protects your backpack when you check it in at an airport to go as cargo on a plane or even just tp protect it when you stow it in the luggage compartments on a bus, coach or train.

    Really helpful demonstration Steve. Thanks so much. When I fly I take out stuff from my pack in a day pack to keep with me in the plane, I also wear my jacket for the pockets, so my 65L won't ever be fully stuffed when going in the hold. I think I will go with the small.

    Super useful video Steve!! We are doing a through hike in Iceland next spring and I knew I'd be needing something to cover my backpack during air transport. I'll be bringing a 65L pack for a 6 day hike then picking up a camper van back in Reykjavik to see the Western Fjords for another 10 days or so. Based on the visuals you provided I think the medium airporter will be just about perfect. It'll give me enough room to cover the pack and still toss in a few items I'll want in the camper van but not on the backpacking trip. We'll just leave the Airporter and extra items in the storage lockers at the bus terminal then retrieve them after the hike.

    Very interesting that mate. Last time I went on a plane was my first and only time when I was 16 and we went to Spain. I went to the Isle of Wight when I was a teenager too, other than that I’ve never stepped foot off these shores ! My Dad has been to Australia a few times. • @getdavemoore
    @getdavemoore 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great vid, thanks for the full demo. Both would be better to have more straps on top for the loaders to grab though? And lightweight? (Gotta carry it after all!)

    • @Steve-Owens
      @Steve-Owens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks.. They do have really good/strong carrying handles. One of the problems with adding many handles, is, it's not just the heavy handle materiel but also the additional reinforcement materials needed to keep them strong and secure. it would greatly add to the weight and perhaps cost and when you are travelling a lot, weight is that last thing you want to increase.. Also, the whole idea is to remove all the straps from the backpack, these are the things that get caught on Conveyer Belts and tear the bags open.. Hope that helps..
