What I like about Battlebots is, well, honestly everything! I was introduced to the sport by my math teacher in 7th grade during the first reboot season, and immediately fell in love. At the time, I was really struggling with life, and I owe a lot to Battlebots for helping me get through that tough stage. Congrats to whoever wins the giveaway and I wish everyone a happy New Year!
Its neat to see how well Skorpios behaves on asphalt. I love the passion from the builders and fans of combat robotics. So many people with wildly varied skills coming together to make something meant to be destroyed.
Honestly there’s so many different things I love about Battlebots, the destruction, the competitiveness, trying to predict the outcome of new matchups, the design and creativity of the bots, and the comedy of people getting together to smash their things together for fun, but the thing I’ve ended up loving the most is how inspiring the people are, I’ve been watching the TV show since the first season aired and I can’t think of any other show, or any other sport where such wholesome and inspiring people come together

Can’t wait to see it in action in season 6! My favorite thing about Battlebots, besides the epic fights, is both the engineering and the camaraderie between teams. Seeing how the teams work with each other, lend a hand, back each other up, and cheer each other on once they get back into the arena is really cool to see! It’s something that isn’t shown as much on the show but outlets like your channel and others on TH-cam really highlight and I love it!
My favorite part of Battlebots is how much it brings so many different people together and how accepting it is. I love how uplifting the builders are to the other teams and how, even though everyone is fighting for the same goal, its still about the fun of the sport. It's honestly my favorite thing to watch cause of how wholesome it is. And having a "Giant Nut" as a prize will never not be hilarious to me.

My school notebooks were full of design ideas. It's a brutal, physical sport where nerdy, non-physical kids can thrive. Thanks for what you do for the next generation of fans. I wish I had grown up with so much access to STEM goodies in the 90s!

Battlebots has become a family event. We have been and are still counting down the days until the new season to watch together with the kids. Battlebots and your behind the scenes videos have inspired my husband and father in law to try and make ant weight and beetle weight robots on a 3D printer which has allowed the kids to get into the sport and want to become better drivers. Thank you Scorpios and Battlebots for bring our family closer together!!
One of my personal favorite parts of BattleBots is the sportsmanship of everyone. It's fun to hear stories of people helping others in the pits making sure that everyone's bots are ready to fight.
What I love most about battlebots is the community. Everyone I’ve met in the community is just so nice. To be able to enjoy something you love with good people is the thing that matters most to me.
My favorite part of Battlebots and robot fighting as a whole is the camaraderie. Everybody helps each other, but then in the box, you see the emotion that built up, from brainstorming to testing and from testing to fighting. The Reddit is great too, you can get whatever you need and ask any questions you have, getting answers from every weight class. There's so much to love, but the people make me enjoy robot combat so much more.
It's the creativity that always had me since the beginning of the show. Even from the Comedy Central days, I was amazed at how someone could wire up his sofa and drive it around his neighborhood!
Looks like the blade cage is a really good idea, for both the blade and the floor! What I like most about Battlebots? Honestly, aside from just watching some cool destruction that doesn't involve hurting anyone (well, usually!), it is something that has brought our family together. Crazy as that sounds, the kids love it, we play the HexBug game all the time, I made them a card and dice game we can all play together, we got to take a trip to Vegas together, and it continues to give us family time when we can teach things like fair play while the kids grow more interested in engineering. Thanks to BB for all of that, but thanks to you, Team Skorpios, for extending the effort to inform and entertain us.
The best part of Battlebots to me is the constant design tradeoffs you have to think about, everything addition has a drawback and it’s a game of balancing those pluses with minuses. What do I like most about battlebots? This Community! There’s groups all over Facebook, Discord and other platforms dedicated to helping people with this insane hobby and the community overall is super supportive. It’s genuinely the most kind and helpful community I’ve ever seen, and you guys definitely help out a lot with these awesome videos! I’ve learned so much about robot combat from you guys and other battlebots teams and the community in general that I’m finally gonna head to my first event in April 2022. My favorite part about robot combat, is the huge variety of designs where there are robots completely different competing among theirselves and the fact that there is no ideal design, as the most innovatives designs can achieve a greater performance than some already established ones. It’s a sport where new weapon types and strategies are developed as the time passes, who would think that a flywheel flipper like Blip or a melty brain would be a thing twenty years ago? So that is what Battlebots means to me: it’s an amazing sport that brings up entertainment and incentivates technology without limiting the creativity and the carnage Thank you for the great content!!

This is probably some of the most enjoyable Battlebots content, just pure destruction of basic items. What I enjoy most about Battlebots is its simplistic completely. There is something as simple as Tombstone in concept but it requires so much attention to detail to keep it from flying around uncontrollably. Great video guys and good luck to everyone. =)
My 8 year old son when I asked him what he likes most about BattleBots is Team Scorpios! Your bot is a fantastic design, very unique and extremely agile. Personally my favorite thing about BattleBots is watching a flipper absolutely launch bots into the stratosphere. There's just something so satisfying with seeing that immense power on display. Can't wait to see how Scorpios performs this year!!
My favorite part of Battlebots is the community, seeing how ever my builder seems to be friends with one another, it’s amazing to see how things change the moment they leave the pit. People seem like they are so good friends and it always seems like they are enjoying themselves whether they win or lose. (That and sparks of course)
A few years ago I started watching more behind the scenes videos of battlebots. The additional information and learning out there has given me the confidence to try and broken items in my flat. So although I may not be a robot builder, the additional content that people like you, Robert Cowen, Team Just Cuz, Tim from team monsoon and Norwalk Havok has improved a 35 year olds man life. That is what I like most about battlebots. And the most important part of this post is to say thank you. Thank you for your videos and thank you for making the world a better place.
That new disc looks absolutely devastating! My favorite part about combat robotics is the constant evolution of bot designs, it's very similar to how species evolve in nature, however it is so much faster that you can pretty much watch it in real time.
Giveaways probably over but what I like most about BattleBots is that I've been watching it and enjoying it since I was a kid and now me and my son are watching it together. Seeing him so excited about robots absolutely Thrills me
My favorite aspect of battlebots is how it combines extreme engineering and tech with raw entertainment, so it's a cerebral way to satiate or primitive will to watch combat, but with science, and without people getting hurt (well, most of the time!)
It's cool to see how the rain didn't seem to affect Scorpios! I've always wondered how combat robots handle environments outside of what they were built for. I look at these machines and see them as extremely specialized tools and half-expect them to be unusable outside those situations, but builders such as yourself always remind us that you're engineers, ergo, Problem Solvers. Perhaps my favorite part of combat robotics as a sport is seeing how you engineers solve problems, all the way from the long-term design decisions, to the in-ring improvisation when the plan inevitably does not survive contact with the opponent. I love how non-traditional sports in general exemplify skill in areas people once could only dream of, but now have genuine value beyond the playing field, whatever form it may take. So, the thing that I’ve decided is what’s most important for me when it comes to battlebots is the way it engages STEM like no other sport. The carnage sets it apart from something like chess or another activity where people might engage more intellect than brawn, but the robotics and engineering side of it makes it feel so much more evolved and important than traditional sports like baseball or soccer. Plus, it encourages children to look at STEM as something “cool” or “badass” rather than lame or dorky.
I love the problem solving and creative engineering that goes on before and after fights. Videos explaining design features or post-fight breakdowns are a huge part of the BattleBots experience to me.
I love the creativity the most every year you can expect at least one team to try to stretch what is “meta” in the realm of combat robotics and it’s all the more sweeter when those robots actually do well at competing and change how we think about robots.

My favorite part of Battlebots - as much as I love seeing the various bots designs and the destruction they bring, what I’ve come to love most about Battlebots is learning about the teams/builders thru builder’s blogs, the aftershows, and interacting with them on social media. It’s obviously a great community of people, seems like they’re all family.
I like that Battlebots merges creativity, science and entertainment. It's interesting how the bot designs have evolved over the years based on trial and error.

Most my favorite throughout the years are the incredibly destructive win or die spinners and flippers that are right on the limits usability and physics. What I love is this is not the only approach. For every destructive chaos monster you have engineers who are more controlled or creative to their particular approach .

My favorite thing is how it brings people together. Bot builders, event organisers, and the fans all come together to do something that is equal parts very difficult, entertaining, terrifyingly destructive, and inspiring. Its such a pleasure to see people coming together to do something great that no one person could acheive, not for personal gain, but for the benefit of others. Just think how Battlebots/robot combat has contributed to the advancements in microcomputing and engineering, all the kids who will grow up to be engineers or scientists because they love Battlebots. Battlebots is one of the reasons I got interested in medical science. Watching Mythbusters growing up made me fall in love with the scientific method, the problem solving, and engineering and Mythbusters only really existed because everyone involved in the show met at Battlebots. Rediscovering Battlebots in 2016 I was instantly hooked, it reignited my interest with electronics, rekindled my love of science and engineering, and really helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my life. TLDR: Putting that much effort into smashing stuff makes kids grow up to do amazing things that benefit everyone :)

The engineering it takes is just incredible, from figuring out how to engineer spinning weapons to actually building/machining a whole robot. Combat robotics is a big part of the reason why I want to go into mechanical engineering/robotics for my career.
i love the engineering that goes into the robots being battle ready. theres so much you wouldn't think of doing like shock mounting or battle hardening motors that often makes the difference in a fight.
My favorite thing about battlebots and combat robotics in general is the amazing challenge of making destructive robots, taking a complex engineering approach involving multiple engineering fields and an amazing community from which anyone can learn, even just by simply watching. A new arrival into the current round of Combat Robotics, but the creativity and testing that goes into this. My 7-year old son is fascinated, and so am I. We've printed our first 150g robot, but still need to get all the internal electronics. Now to find some opportunities to attend events!

My favorite part of Battlebots is the diversity of the sport. People from around the world, from all walks of life, all competing for a giant nut. There is stiff competition and huge support for one another. In my opinion, Battlebots is a heartwarming reminder of what a sport should be.
What I like most about Battlebots are the fights that are true slugfests. Just a pair of top tier, excellently engineered bots (like Tombstone and Bite Force, or Rotator and Valkyrie) going at it for the full 3 minutes. While a quick electric KO is satisfying, there’s nothing like two elites going the distance!
What I like most about Battlebots is the creativity put into the designs of the bots. Both ingenuity wise (HUGE, SMEEEE, Mammoth) and personality wise (Rusty, Nelly, Witch Doctor)

All from the different methods of building a pusher/wedge to all the different spinners and how the go about using it. From “simple” stuff like End Game and Tombstone to things like Skorpios and Switchback
What I like most about Battlebots: How it inspires people, especially kids, to get into science and engineering. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing kids get inspired to build their own bot and want to explore how something works in another bot. Battlebots is an incredible avenue for kids (and adults!) to start exploring the STEM field. It can be a tricky field to REALLY get involved in at a young age, but robot combat is a very fun bridge that can make that possible. On a personal note, I discovered Battlebots when I was 8, and Mythbusters soon after. Between Robot Combat and Adam and Jamie, I fell in love with science and engineering, and my adult life is now dedicated to it. I graduated with my B.S and M.S in Mechanical Engineering, and I'm now working on the PhD. I can confidently say that without Battlebots, my formative years would not have been the same, and I doubt I would have ended up dedicating myself this hard to any other field.
What I like best about Battlebots is that it is a TV Show, so millions? of people get to see it. It inspires those millions of people to get creative and respect other people's ingenuity. The combat robotics community is also shown to be a smart, funny, and likable group of different types of people with different backgrounds, with the common bond of trying something new, in search of something new and fun together.
BattleBots is actually what motivated me to go back to school to finish my engineering degree, so what I like most about it will always be that it inspired me to fix one of my greatest regrets and has completely changed the trajectory of my life.
I think there’s a lot to like about battlebots, but for me what it mainly means is something entertaining and interested while all the while being fun. These last two years, these haven’t been no normal two years man, and that’s why I’ve only gotten more and more invested in Battlebots is because it’s offered an escape, something to put on and at least for a little while forget about what’s going on in the outside world. It’s been really nice to just have that sometimes and be able to turn my brain off and just watch some robotic carnage. So I thank you, along with every other builder, for putting all this time, effort, and money into building these bots.

Watching the combat, how engineering and innovation come together in an entertaining way. The combat makes the bots better, as each thing goes wrong the builders comes up with ways to make it better!

My favourite aspect of Battlebots has to be the community. Sure, robots battering the nuts off each other is fun, but the cameraderie of the people involved behind the scenes is so heartwarming. Teams that help their opponents get battle ready by lending parts and tools, teams that produce videos to make this hobby more inclusive, the fans cheering on their favourites - It's the people that make this hobby what it is
What do I like most about battlebots? This Community! There’s groups all over Facebook, Discord and other platforms dedicated to helping people with this insane hobby and the community overall is super supportive. It’s genuinely the most kind and helpful community I’ve ever seen, and you guys definitely help out a lot with these awesome videos! I’ve learned so much about robot combat from you guys and other battlebots teams and the community in general that I’m finally gonna head to my first event in April 2022. I’ll be cheering for skorpios this season! *strange hand scorpion thing ensues*

What I like most about BattleBots is the underdog always has a fighting chance. That legendary Skorpios win over Tombstone was simply cathartic.
My favorite thing about battlebots has always been the engineering creativity and the friendliness between competitors! It’s why I got into combat robots myself, though I’m sure that’s a common story
Our family loves battlebots for the entertainment, destruction, and cool robots that the engineers build. There's no other show out there like it and they paved their own way. No one else has been able to mimic it and it is one of a kind.
My favorite part of battlebots is how everyone treats eachother nicely, how other teams will give you the parts you need for your robot, and how there are endless ideas you can make for robots
Honestly, what I like most about Battlebots is the friendliness of the community. The way builders help each other out to put on the best show possible!
My favorite part about robot combat, is the huge variety of designs where there are robots completely different competing among theirselves and the fact that there is no ideal design, as the most innovatives designs can achieve a greater performance than some already established ones.
It’s a sport where new weapon types and strategies are developed as the time passes, who would think that a flywheel flipper like Blip or a melty brain would be a thing twenty years ago?
So that is what Battlebots means to me: it’s an amazing sport that brings up entertainment and incentivates technology without limiting the creativity and the carnage

My favorite thing about battlebots is watching the gears turn in my 6 year old boys head when he plans his own future bot. We watch every night before bed. You are one of his favorites.
This is probably some of the most enjoyable Battlebots content, just pure destruction of basic items. What I enjoy most about Battlebots is its simplistic completely. There is something as simple as Tombstone in concept but it requires so much attention to detail to keep it from flying around uncontrollably. Great video guys and good luck to everyone. =)
My 8 year old son when I asked him what he likes most about BattleBots is Team Scorpios! Your bot is a fantastic design, very unique and extremely agile.
Personally my favorite thing about BattleBots is watching a flipper absolutely launch bots into the stratosphere. There's just something so satisfying with seeing that immense power on display.
Can't wait to see how Scorpios performs this year!!
My favorite part of Battlebots is the community, seeing how ever my builder seems to be friends with one another, it’s amazing to see how things change the moment they leave the pit. People seem like they are so good friends and it always seems like they are enjoying themselves whether they win or lose. (That and sparks of course)
A few years ago I started watching more behind the scenes videos of battlebots. The additional information and learning out there has given me the confidence to try and broken items in my flat.
So although I may not be a robot builder, the additional content that people like you, Robert Cowen, Team Just Cuz, Tim from team monsoon and Norwalk Havok has improved a 35 year olds man life. That is what I like most about battlebots.
And the most important part of this post is to say thank you. Thank you for your videos and thank you for making the world a better place.

That new disc looks absolutely devastating! My favorite part about combat robotics is the constant evolution of bot designs, it's very similar to how species evolve in nature, however it is so much faster that you can pretty much watch it in real time.
Giveaways probably over but what I like most about BattleBots is that I've been watching it and enjoying it since I was a kid and now me and my son are watching it together. Seeing him so excited about robots absolutely Thrills me
My favorite aspect of battlebots is how it combines extreme engineering and tech with raw entertainment, so it's a cerebral way to satiate or primitive will to watch combat, but with science, and without people getting hurt (well, most of the time!)
It's cool to see how the rain didn't seem to affect Scorpios! I've always wondered how combat robots handle environments outside of what they were built for. I look at these machines and see them as extremely specialized tools and half-expect them to be unusable outside those situations, but builders such as yourself always remind us that you're engineers, ergo, Problem Solvers. Perhaps my favorite part of combat robotics as a sport is seeing how you engineers solve problems, all the way from the long-term design decisions, to the in-ring improvisation when the plan inevitably does not survive contact with the opponent. I love how non-traditional sports in general exemplify skill in areas people once could only dream of, but now have genuine value beyond the playing field, whatever form it may take. So, the thing that I’ve decided is what’s most important for me when it comes to battlebots is the way it engages STEM like no other sport. The carnage sets it apart from something like chess or another activity where people might engage more intellect than brawn, but the robotics and engineering side of it makes it feel so much more evolved and important than traditional sports like baseball or soccer. Plus, it encourages children to look at STEM as something “cool” or “badass” rather than lame or dorky.
What I love the most about Battlebots is the creativity of the builders. The creative designs make everything much more interesting.
I love seeing all the different designs people come up with for their base robot and attachments to deal with different types of opponents.
I love the problem solving and creative engineering that goes on before and after fights. Videos explaining design features or post-fight breakdowns are a huge part of the BattleBots experience to me.

I love the creativity the most every year you can expect at least one team to try to stretch what is “meta” in the realm of combat robotics and it’s all the more sweeter when those robots actually do well at competing and change how we think about robots.
My favorite part about battlebots is how much builders can express their creativity with their robot. Since there is no correct way to build a robot, every one is a work of art that reflects the builder.
What makes battlebots special for me is just the energy of the teams and the cast.
My favorite part of Battlebots - as much as I love seeing the various bots designs and the destruction they bring, what I’ve come to love most about Battlebots is learning about the teams/builders thru builder’s blogs, the aftershows, and interacting with them on social media. It’s obviously a great community of people, seems like they’re all family.
The engineering and execution by "regular" people is the best part to watch.
I like that Battlebots merges creativity, science and entertainment. It's interesting how the bot designs have evolved over the years based on trial and error.
My favorite part about battlebots and robot combat in general is the practical engineering for competitive entertainment. Most my favorite throughout the years are the incredibly destructive win or die spinners and flippers that are right on the limits usability and physics. What I love is this is not the only approach. For every destructive chaos monster you have engineers who are more controlled or creative to their particular approach .
What I love most about battlebots is the community and the creativity. Despite battlebots being about the destruction of other peoples robots the fact that afterwords teams help each other fix their bots in the pit is amazing. And the creativity is also cool to see the bots, the outfits and the costumes builders sometimes give to the bots to match their specific opponent is what makes battlebots great.

My favorite thing is how it brings people together. Bot builders, event organisers, and the fans all come together to do something that is equal parts very difficult, entertaining, terrifyingly destructive, and inspiring. Its such a pleasure to see people coming together to do something great that no one person could acheive, not for personal gain, but for the benefit of others. Just think how Battlebots/robot combat has contributed to the advancements in microcomputing and engineering, all the kids who will grow up to be engineers or scientists because they love Battlebots.
Battlebots is one of the reasons I got interested in medical science. Watching Mythbusters growing up made me fall in love with the scientific method, the problem solving, and engineering and Mythbusters only really existed because everyone involved in the show met at Battlebots. Rediscovering Battlebots in 2016 I was instantly hooked, it reignited my interest with electronics, rekindled my love of science and engineering, and really helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
TLDR: Putting that much effort into smashing stuff makes kids grow up to do amazing things that benefit everyone :)

My favorite part of Battlebots is the engineering and design of the robots. The engineering it takes is just incredible, from figuring out how to engineer spinning weapons to actually building/machining a whole robot. Combat robotics is a big part of the reason why I want to go into mechanical engineering/robotics for my career.
i love the engineering that goes into the robots being battle ready. theres so much you wouldn't think of doing like shock mounting or battle hardening motors that often makes the difference in a fight.
I love how there is no 1 perfect design. This keeps the competition fresh and exciting

My favorite thing about battlebots and combat robotics in general is the amazing challenge of making destructive robots, taking a complex engineering approach involving multiple engineering fields and an amazing community from which anyone can learn, even just by simply watching. I am hoping to start competing next year in Australia myself in insect class events. Happy new year to you amazing people!

A new arrival into the current round of Combat Robotics, but the creativity and testing that goes into this. My 7-year old son is fascinated, and so am I. We've printed our first 150g robot, but still need to get all the internal electronics. Now to find some opportunities to attend events!
What I like mostly about battlebots is that you can make a creative and extremely dangerous and destructive bot of your creation and while your destroying other bots, you inspire someone watching and they want to enter and when they put in the work and enter they inspire else too
My favorite part of Battlebots is the diversity of the sport. People from around the world, from all walks of life, all competing for a giant nut. There is stiff competition and huge support for one another. In my opinion, Battlebots is a heartwarming reminder of what a sport should be.
What I like most about Battlebots are the fights that are true slugfests. Just a pair of top tier, excellently engineered bots (like Tombstone and Bite Force, or Rotator and Valkyrie) going at it for the full 3 minutes. While a quick electric KO is satisfying, there’s nothing like two elites going the distance!
What I like most about Battlebots is the creativity put into the designs of the bots. Both ingenuity wise (HUGE, SMEEEE, Mammoth) and personality wise (Rusty, Nelly, Witch Doctor)
My favorite part about Battlebots( both the show and sport) is all the different design ideas. All from the different methods of building a pusher/wedge to all the different spinners and how the go about using it. From “simple” stuff like End Game and Tombstone to things like Skorpios and Switchback

What I like most about Battlebots: How it inspires people, especially kids, to get into science and engineering. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing kids get inspired to build their own bot and want to explore how something works in another bot. Battlebots is an incredible avenue for kids (and adults!) to start exploring the STEM field. It can be a tricky field to REALLY get involved in at a young age, but robot combat is a very fun bridge that can make that possible.
On a personal note, I discovered Battlebots when I was 8, and Mythbusters soon after. Between Robot Combat and Adam and Jamie, I fell in love with science and engineering, and my adult life is now dedicated to it. I graduated with my B.S and M.S in Mechanical Engineering, and I'm now working on the PhD. I can confidently say that without Battlebots, my formative years would not have been the same, and I doubt I would have ended up dedicating myself this hard to any other field.
What I like best about Battlebots is that it is a TV Show, so millions? of people get to see it. It inspires those millions of people to get creative and respect other people's ingenuity. The combat robotics community is also shown to be a smart, funny, and likable group of different types of people with different backgrounds, with the common bond of trying something new, in search of something new and fun together.
BattleBots is actually what motivated me to go back to school to finish my engineering degree, so what I like most about it will always be that it inspired me to fix one of my greatest regrets and has completely changed the trajectory of my life.

I think there’s a lot to like about battlebots, but for me what it mainly means is something entertaining and interested while all the while being fun. These last two years, these haven’t been no normal two years man, and that’s why I’ve only gotten more and more invested in Battlebots is because it’s offered an escape, something to put on and at least for a little while forget about what’s going on in the outside world. It’s been really nice to just have that sometimes and be able to turn my brain off and just watch some robotic carnage. So I thank you, along with every other builder, for putting all this time, effort, and money into building these bots.
The show itself, I love the personalities of the crews and the way everyone gets together and helps each other, even in a competitive environment. As far battle bots themselves, I've always been a tinkering kind of guy. I've seriously have been thinking about building one, or starting out with a kit

My favorite part of BB is being here since the CC era and watching those same team evolve over the years and getting to see so many new and exciting teams from budget to big money builds is great. This is such an underated sport.
My favorite thing about BattleBots is that this is engineering with the sole purpose being something fun. It's exciting because it's not just cutting edge technology at work, but also the human element in driving and decision making. The bot is here to have a good time and a good fight.

My favorite part of Battlebots is seeing how the contestants, judges, and audience react to what's going on in the box. The range of emotions is enticing, which is why I want to go to a live event someday.
As a aspiring bot builder, I find it fun that battlebots has some the smartest engineers in the world come together to blow things up.
Honestly my favorite part of battlebots is the creativity of all the builders, for instance you and sawblaze making hammersaws, or blips new design, not to mention all the bots that didn't make it into battlebots this year.
What I like about battle bots. During the fights seeing an underdog kick some butt and do better than they expected.

My favourite part of Battlebots is, that these massive machines have had 100 possibly 1000s of hours put into upgrading and building them, and then they are just put in an arena just to destroy each other. I also like the sportsmanship from almost every team as they are willing to help if an opponent is stuck.
