During the fights, "Pantheon" or that incarnation of death, never lands a 'killing blow' instead he knocks her down, but she keeps getting up despite knowing she'd lose again until eventually death said "You know what, you deserve to fight with the living"
I don’t think she’s really fighting pantheon. It’s all in her head. As the aspect if war, he represents all the battles she’ll fight that gives her the scars and hardens her. The beings in the Shuriman desert are her inner demons that strip her of her innocence (the lamb), which gives her the strength to fight off Kindred so she can become the warrior we see at the end and in Arcane. The baby she’s pregnant with is Mel btw. Also, Ambessa can’t dash over walls with her passive. Only hitting her ult lets her do that. She will be hard to lock down though
Wow this is super good insight! Watching the video really makes me want to try the champion. I've seen a video of her being able to hope over Yoricks wall (as well as Jarvan ult) but let's hope it's just a PBE bug and will be fixed for release. It will already a pain to fight her as Yorick as landing E will be very difficult.
@@charles5212 No, Mel is describing the type of ruler they’ll install there after taking it over, and Ambessa says “perhaps she could be my daughter” implying that she’ll give Mel power if she can prove herself. Or you can look at when Ambessa arrived in Piltover, she tells Mel “You have your father’s memory.”
@@Beedyboyofficial Well Swain rules Noxus, Katarina is Noxian assassin, Ambessa is Noxian warlord, but i have no idea what is Pantheon connection to this, also Kindred skin can be a possibility of how Noxians see death.
How I interpret the music video: In a near death state, it seems Ambessa's consciousness went to a type of Noxian mythos "Valhalla" (realm of honorably fallen warriors, from the past, present, and possible future), was tested (sacrificing a peaceful life and death represented the lamb statue, as well as never backing down from the Wolf), and was proven worthy of joining the pantheon of "Wolf's Chosen" in the afterlife. But then her unborn child, which appears to have magical powers, was able to subconsciously use its magic to resuscitate Ambessa and brought her back from her near death state / "Valhalla".
So my theory of the meaning of this... The wolf is death, death holds off in claiming her because it sees either a possible future in her or in her daughter mel. Then we see her challenged by pantheon. I bet this is pantheon the god, not atreus the man. Represents war testing her. Also swain and katarina makes sense cuz it was is possibly Katarina that killed her son. Also Swain represents the political environment that tests her. Then finally death itself tests her. Death is chosing to keep her alive because of a possible future where she could be chosen to be a new aspect or maybe Mel. 😉
on the shore Kindred shows up. For noxians Kindred is only wolf not lamb and wolf so it makes sense that we dont really see alot of lamb and even when we see lamb it hat more of a wolf vibe. Fortiche is known for hiding thing in details. The fact that wolf looks at her unborn kid and then in her face lets me think he sees something in mel. As everyone from noxus, ambessa challanges wolf in the deathrealm and proves her self worthy of life. Lamb gives her an trophy of the wolf (maybe representing reviving her). Her unborn child having glowing eyes like wolf in the begining tells me that maybe mel is infused with some sort of kindreds power, which could be the reason mels cloths started glowing when jinx rocket hit the council. Maybe its somthing like Kindreds ult ingame which prevents mel from dying.
I watched Arcane when it came out! But my memory for series and movies is really bad, so i can rewatch shows every few years like it's mostly new 🤣 also at the time it came out i wasn't actively playing league, so i was a bit less invested. I will probably have to rewatch it before season 2 releases!
@@Beedyboyofficial This video depicted Ambessa Medarda (Council Woman Mel Medarda's mom) from Arcane, when she was younger and subsequently pregnant with Mel. The events in this video take place 33 years before episode 8 of Arcane season 1. Ambessa was facing death on that battlefield. In the culture she comes from the wolf is worshiped and revered. However, the embodiment of death (an entity known as "Kindred" on that world) who also takes the form of the wolf and that of the lamb, before ushering warriors into the great beyond, had sent a wolf to claim her soul. The lamb appears if you willingly give yourself over to death while the wolf will take you by force if you resist. Ambessa, near death, but fighting to stay alive in an attempt to ensure that her daughter is born, chose to deny the lamb and challenge death honorably, as is the nature of the wolf inside her. In her vision she denied the lamb and chooses instead to fight. Kindred indulges her as she is made to battle one of the strongest champions on the planet, a man by the name of Pantheon. She didn't prevail, but she didn't have to as her resolve was enough to sway Kindred into sparring her life and counting her among the "chosen of the wolf". And as such she was adorned with a warrior's regalia and weaponry and welcomed into the fold to stand beside Pantheon, Swain and Katarina (the other two warriors featured in the background). Ambessa is made of a different kind of strength as Kindred isn't known in the lore for letting people return to life like that. Anyway, she's about to tear shit up in Arcane season 2. So, stay tuned. Nov. 9th is only a few days away! And the Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf, full-length novel in February!
Young Ambessa is so gorgeous.
A real queen! 🫡
I'm taking old Ambessa too every day of the week
Idk, I just respect ambessa so much more now... She was pregnant and she fought death and survived... She so strong man, she deserves to lead
She is insanely strong ! I kind of wanna pick her up as a champion after watching this!
During the fights, "Pantheon" or that incarnation of death, never lands a 'killing blow' instead he knocks her down, but she keeps getting up despite knowing she'd lose again until eventually death said "You know what, you deserve to fight with the living"
That's a cool take😁🤭
This new skin line is dope asf "Chosen of the Wolf" , for Pantheon , Swain , Katarina , Ambessa and Kindred
Ahhh it is a skin line! That makes a lot of sense 😁 and I guessed most champs correctly then hahaha

Mel is adopted so it is more likely Kino
@@charles5212 where did you hear she’s adopted?
@Harrison_516 In arcane there is a scene where ambessa asks Mel if she wants to be her daughter

That actually makes a lot of sense, and great analysis. Too bad I don't know enough about League lore :( maybe once we get that MMO??
Pant as deathbringer-he is the wolf
