Tyson, I'm looking to buy a Forester so I've been watching your videos. Today I went for a test drive and knew where all the buttons were and how to operate the vehicle as though I've been driving it for years. You have a real knack for thoroughly showing a vehicle while still being brief. I think you could get a ton of views on TH-cam by reviewing other car brands, although that might not be ideal for your day job. 😂
Thanks for the comment! Glad that you enjoy my videos and found them helpful for your test drive! You're right, reviewing other brands as thoroughly as the Subarus might cause some issues with my day job, haha.
Test drove one of these at my dealership while getting my FW serviced. A little getting used to, but this is a fun car to drive. A lot different from driving an FW. Also my first electric vehicle experience.
A used Solterra!!! Why did they trade that beauty in? I absolutely love my 2023 Crosstrek PHEV and the full EV is really interesting. Thanks for your great walkthrough videos. I only briefly got a chance to see a Solterra when I took my Crosstrek in for the 10,000 Km checkup.
They ended up getting a promotion and moving to Toronto and decided that since they were going to be living downtown and working down town that they wanted to go vehicle-less.
I haven't had any of my current clients tell me that they've had any issues with the battery, even in the -40°C that we experienced. The range showed as about 50% of normal when they started driving during that temperature, but they also had the heaters and all of the associated accessories turned on. None of my clients tried to find out their maximum range during the cold snap, but I'm guessing that it's approximately half of what it normally would be. More testing would be needed.
I live in WA. State enjoyed your presentation. I just purchased a new Solterra Limited Edition I really like it.
Thanks for the comment, Gary! Glad you're enjoying your new SolTerra!

They are fun to drive! Different for sure, though.
The instant torque is a blast and puts you back in your seat.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist Yeah, that certainly makes sense.
Ex Centaur Subaru interesting! My local.
Yeah, it's an Alberta registered vehicle so we need to do an "Out of Province Inspection" on it - not that it'll need anything at 3033kms...
Curious how the battery charge is holding and mileage performance is in your cold weather.
