Big shout out to the Pond Guy!!!! My name is Dave and I live in Connecticut. I came across your friend Paul Caffaru's videos earlier this year and just thought the kid was amazing! I'm 52 and have had a few goldfish comets in a 50 gallon tank in my house. Upkeep was never easy and my fish never looked happy at all. After watching endless videos from Paul I was hooked! Being a school bus driver and little money I bought a 5 foot by 7 foot by 24 inch deep intex pool and turned it into a dream pond! I have a great decrative eye so looking into the water is really like seeing a beautiful natural pond and the fish act like it's a party resort both night and day! This small pool pond sits just outside of my back door next to my patio. So getting back to you. I watched you and your team build Paul a killer pond system and from there I've been watching pretty much every video you put out!!!! I have a very nice large back yard that I've used for years of enjoyment and entertaining my friends and guest. As of lately, five years now, we've gotten older, people no longer come over and the only time I'm in my backyard is when it needs mowing. It simply does not have anything that says hey, spend some time with me. Well that may be changing as of next spring of 2019! I have a great stone and mulch center just down the street and a few towns over is a family garden center who is Aquascape certified and sells your products. This will be a DIY koi / goldfish, maybe two that I am planning on doing! Time to reclaim my backyard!!!!!!

Brilliant solution for a growing family. Natural, no nasty chemicals, the wildlife can enjoy it and wow what a scope for landscaping to integrate it into the natural environment. Good job... AGAIN ;-)

Holy Cow. Totally transformative. Over the top! The Urn Jets. That crazy huge rock with a hole found on site. So glad the Pond Police let that youngster keep his swim pond. Sweeeet! And kudos to the build TEAM. Wow.

What an awesome swimming pond! When those plants in the wetlands are grown up there will be sooooooo much for them to play with,,, Not only play but learn about also.

    • @devinbailey5722

Devin Bailey filters are mostly for benifitial bacteria and light particales poop sinks to the floor no one sucks the poop out like an aquerium

Awwhhh...it's like "weed em and reaps pond" BUT this one's clear AF, I love watching their ponds evolution...i have to say i don't like the urns as much as i like those drilled Carolina rocks..are standing rocks hazardous? Like having a standing feature off to the side with bubbling rocks plus that epic water and I'd soil my pants😂

I am from Australia and i would love to build something just like this. No one here does this kind of pond/pool. Can you help me out with some info on the system? The Biofilter ratio to pond size, holding tanks and flow rates etc.. Basically the whole system and how it works. It would be greatly appreciated

Hi ash marley! We have an online resource called The Pond Builder's Bible that will tell you what you need to know. You'll find it here: www.aquascapeinc.com/professionals/pond-builders-bible.
Or, you can attend our training. Info on that is here: www.aquascapeinc.com/professionals/aquascape-training

Great stuff Greg, but you really need to modify some of the things you say about chlorine. (All of this starts around the 7:00 marker)
    1. "What isn't natural is Chlorine. " Yes, yes it is. Chlorine is an element on the periodic table of elements, atomic number 17 (Cl), making it one of the most "natural" things in "nature."
    2. "Chlorine is a chemical." You're referring to Calcium hypochlorite Ca(ClO)2, the inorganic compound used to treat swimming pools.
    3. "Exposure to chlorine...chlorine could kill you." Yes, high amounts could (it's gaseous form has been used to kill people in wars) but humans actually have very small (trace) amounts of chlorine in our bodies (0.15%) from table salt intake (percentage by mass fraction, not mole fraction).
    4. Remember, common table salt (NaCl) is Sodium and Chlorine, or rather a chloride compound, which among other things "play an essential role in the electrical neutrality and pressure of extracellular fluids and in the acid-base balance of the body." -Britannica.com
Other than that, your enthusiasm is compelling and fun to watch.
