Canada's west coast. A great man said in a speech on August 28th 1963 a person should not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
When I was a little girl and began seeing the differences of skin color, I asked my mom why. She just looked over to a large area of wild flowers and said: "look at all these flowers." It would not be as beautiful if they all were the same. God knows that it is the same with people." And now, at the age of 73, I still know that she spoke the truth.
I am also 73 and african american. My mom taught me the same lesso n about flowers. I have always had rèspect for people who treat me with respect. No matter your color.
Great story!! We need to be reminded of how we need to treat all the same no matter color, religion or sex. We are all human beings !!!!! I am in Billings,Mt.
Thank you so much for that wonderful story. It was so amazing to hear this story no matter what colour you are what country you’re from? We should all be as one together to help others no matter where you come from or what colour your skin is such a beautiful story, thank you so much, May God bless you😊
We are all Americans and we must help each other. The skin color must not be used to separate us. GOD LOVES US ALL . GOD does not see skin color. We are his people and we must help each other.
No, we're NOT all Americans, and some of us have a Social Conscience, one strong enough to end Slavery Worldwide, whatever colour skin the slave. As I'm a Humanist I don't believe in any God, or Gods, or the Devil, or Demons for that matter, and as a functioning adult, I don't see skin colour either. We're all human and we must help each other.
Can you stop your ZIONIST run Government sending Arms and Trillions of Dollars 💵 to Israel?; if the government is like this then how do you expect citizens to be any different ? It's the same here in the UK 🇬🇧 May lord god have mercy 🙏
Good story!Sometimes people need a reality check on how to treat people amen. You have to be careful how you treat people because that same person you mistreat may be the one who helps you one day. My dad was a veteran he was a Merchant Marine 🎉. God bless you all real good amen 😊❤❤❤
I have searched everywhere online and never found one mention of this diner, documentary or the people involved. No idea where it’s located. Hate to say it, but I think, like many stories these days, it’s entirely fake.
I was born and in Georgia. I saw my fair share of hatered among people of color. I'm ashamed at what happened during those times. I've raised my children to be kinda helpful and to respect if you are white, gree, it doesn't matter and especially to our vets. My husband spent 20 years in the military and we all in my house how to welcome people and to respect everyone. My children were also raised no matter how old you are that you will call adults me or Mrs. They are now 35 and 40 years old and they do that to this day no matter what a person skin color is
I'm watching this story from the (D=DETROIT).NO MATTER WHAT, THE ACTS OF RACISM/BIGOTRY SHOULDN'TB tolerated. Wonderful story very nice outcome thank U.
Something like this should be done today. So many negative comments have been made about our lifeline, OUR SOLDIERS. We need to see visibly the support to our soldiers, and food and music have always been a common force of comradery. A restaurant would be a great 👍 💡 idea!
I'm watching from East Haven, Connecticut. How DARE THEY....This crap has pissed me off for OVER 60 years. WTF is WRONG with people? Not humans, just a people, a waste of good oxygen and skin. Mr John, you are WELCOME HERE....I HATE PREJUDICE SCUMBAGS...
This was such a beautiful story it made me cry and I'm sure it made God cry also when this was happening and the results that came from it , I'm sure he was so proud of all the people that were touched by this story that changed their own lives too, God bless you all
Beautiful story this is a real lesson for some white never judge a person because of the colour of they skin. We blacks are powerful people also, love this story.
Don’t kid yourself- white people are offended by this treatment as well. Quit making everything about race, white people like myself is disgusted by this! I also have mixed race nieces and nephews, most white people are actually colorblind except for a defective few. Don’t assume everyone is the same- or it gets flipped on the minority as well, so now racism explodes! Who’s at fault? Tired of white people being condemned as racist because a few bad apples. Just like saying all cops are bad, that’s BS. All Black peoples are drug dealing lazy gang members on welfare. STOP THIS CRAP has to stop. Let’s be human beings again and go from there
I’m watching from Texas, and before I even hear the details, I can tell you that this is sickening to me. I cannot believe the owner was so stupid. If I lived there, I’d never go to that restaurant again.
They tried to hang my grandfather in the Delta. What was the rule of law then. My grandfather was freed at the age of 7 as a slave to become free. I have run up against some bigotry in the Delta recently. I live in Memphis. As Memphis is changing, I see bigotry more and more.
There are what's called "missing man tables" all over the US, at ordinary restaurants. There's one about 13 mi from me. I think this original one is in Sumter SC.

Some people need to face the reality that, we are all human beings, No matter the colour of the skin is, The business is not supposed to be run lilke that, The colour of skin does not matter when it comes to business, I'm watching the story and listening to it from SA 🇿🇦
This was a good story about how to forgive people. I was raised in the time of color and white water fountains. So this was good. To see them working together for change
I was raised in South Carooina in the 50s through 70, my mother taught to call any adult sir or mam no matter the race or social standing. I can remember when Racism was rampart in all the US.
Amazing story of racial reconciliation and healing which calls for courage to deal with prejudice and generosity to forget the offenders. Indeed there is humanity in every human person.
I am so happy to know the love and have Jesus in my life. He alone with others need much prayer and forgiveness. Prejudice is something that is ingrained in this man since childhood. Need much prayer needed.
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect regardless of color. There should be severe punishment by way of law for discrimnatory behavior. I am a white South African.

Illinois. Raised in a Sundown town. Made my Senior writing assignment won a state contest. Sent that win to the State and won that too. By the time I graduated, the city law regarding sundown law was revoked.
This is a great story, a much needed story!! If you think about it, our current leaders have been fostering racism and doing their best to ferment division among us Americans. God LOVES ❤ colors!! Look at the world around us! Every conceivable color is there to see and admire. White is no better or worse than brown, black or yellow (even though Asian is not truly yellow). We are all created by God.
I am from Gibraltar, a British overseas territory at the south of the iberian peninsula. We consider ourselves very fortunate that this community of ours that is now 32 years old and composed of many races and religions we all live in a harmony that hasn't been seen anywhere in the world, we are all equal Muslims,Jews Christians Hindu and many from the far east tooling like brothers and sisters, a community that make Gibraltarias feel very proud of who we are.
Awesome piece. Thank you. My grandfather did what I consider to be a miracle in the late 1920s in the Black community of Los Angeles. I have over 20 interviews on film of people that knew him or knew of his deeds. This story has given me new fadder to figure out how to get his story out there and told. Van Nickerson
The unfortunate thing is there's so much hate and discontent anymore. I feel really bad I can remember the kid that was all nationally used to work together stay together celebrate together and if the so many needed help other people would. Pitch in the ceiling fortune to think this world is changed so much that you know small things like that are inspirational but I wish I could see that change.
The way the world is today there is no need for prejudice 😮 because we need each other now to HELP AND STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE, AND TAKE BACK EVERYTHING THE DEVIL AND HIS COHORTS HAS TAKEN From US..STAND FOR SOMETHING OR YOU WILL FALL FOR ANYTHING.❤
Many times I face this kind of predicament and many time I thought to take my life but it just made me stronger because taking my life would be a win for those who judge me for the color of my skin. We are the same; human and we must respect each other’s no matter what we believe or how we look💔😭
