    Hello! Just a little clarification for you about Sonja sweater. You have knitted in Peer gynt, rustic 100% woolly wool. This yarn has a lot of lanolin. This goes away with wash and yarn blooms and softens up a lot. 😊 beautiful knits and congrats on another great episode 👏

    I hope you keep doing podcasts because your style matches mine. I am also relatively new at knitting garments and learned to always use “Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off”. It uses a yarn over. And, I bind off on the wrong side and only use the knit stitch even on ribbing. Nice and neat and stretchy. Easy, too. 😊

    That Sonja Sweater is gorgeous! Well done 😍 I'm currently working on a bright pink Cloud Sweater and it's such a fun pattern and I love how its turning out!

      That sounds beautiful! This sweater would be great in a fun bright color. I was tempted to go for a yellow but couldn't find the perfect shade.

    Just found you and immediately subscribed. Love your projects, your style and your podcast! I started obsessively knitting one year before you 😊My style is very simple/minimalist (and oversized, love my Sonja!) and until now I have never seriously considered a lace sweater. That just changed after watching your first podcast! Your Nature Lace Sweater is gorgeous! The pattern is nice but looking at the sample pictures I wouldn't have thought it is an option for me. If I ever make a lace garment if will probably be this one and in your yarn combo! Looking forward to your next video!

    Hi there, thanks for the great videos- please may you tell me which bind off you used for the cloud sweater neckline? Thanks

      Thank you! I just binded off knitwise, but I pulled each stitch so they were super loose.

    Hi Love your content. Just a suggestion for the camisole you are knitting: If you add the border on the bottom you will loose in the stretchiness......and the flow of the fabric.

    I love all of your knits and have put all of them on my future project list. Can I just check the Novice Sweater with you; your neck line, which is more of a yoke, is very different to the turtle neck of the Petit Knit pattern. I prefer yours and wondered how you achieved this? Thanks for all the lovely content.

    • @CozyKnitswithClaire
      @CozyKnitswithClaire  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I believe the neckline fit is due to the size I chose. The pattern suggests a S for me, but I chose an XL. I think the neckline has also stretched out a bit as I’ve worn it, so that has also caused the ribbing to sit more like a yoke. I hope this helps!

    the shorter sleeves on the first sweater are probably because your gauge was smaller, you knit a large and got a medium width-wise, and height-wise the rows are shorter as well! same thing happened to me when i did the same thing!

    • @CozyKnitswithClaire
      @CozyKnitswithClaire  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That makes so much sense! I’ll have to keep that in mind for future projects, that’s super helpful :)

    I love the way the neckline lays on your novice sweater! Did you pick the size you knit based off of the recommended ease?

    • @CozyKnitswithClaire
      @CozyKnitswithClaire  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I actually sized up quite a bit to get the oversized fit. My bust measurement is 36 inches and I knitted an XL. My sweater has about 10 inches of positive ease, but the pattern only recommends 2-4 in. :)

    I add 10 stitches into the short row heel and then remove them when nearly finished. Adding them all at once or adding gradually seems to make no difference.

    Loved finding you, your knits are all so wearable and the yarns are gorgeous. Remember to look at the camera and not yourself on t he screen as it's disengaging for viewers. It doesn't feel like you are talking to us. Once you know that you are always in frame, you can then look at the camera. and yes, gauge is annoying and seems counter intuitive if it's too big or too small. I always have to look it up :-)

    • @CozyKnitswithClaire
      @CozyKnitswithClaire  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for the feedback! I’ll keep that in mind for future videos. One day we will master gauge and know all the terminology!

    • @ludouglas1
      @ludouglas1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually think gauge will always be a 'thing' because of the very nature of everyone's knitting tension. And that's okay too because you get to know what your gauge is for each yarn @@CozyKnitswithClaire
