Bonisolli has always been my absolute favourite in this particular aria but what he pulls off here defies the believable. Astounding. No other word. It made me cry.
Bloody beautiful, very few tenors can sing unreigned like this. Bonisolli was quite unique. Power and range beyond reason, he let rip and took amazing risk when other tenors would never give it everything like he did. Franco was astounding, a voice to teach all other tenors how to let go.

Franco never got the recognition he deserved it was the other Franco who got all the praises but Bonisolli was 2nd to none.What other Tenor past or present did back to back encores of this most difficult Aria? As i watch this incredible performance again i find myself wondering would Franco Corelli perhaps the Greatest Of All Operatic Tenors would he have attempted what Bonisolli did ? sing 'Di Quella Pira" Back to back 6 High C's in all. I just wonder.. he probably could have done it but i don't think he was crazy enough to actually try to do it. You have to give Bonisolli due credit he had the balls of a bull elephant and the voice of a roaring Lion, he pulled it off, just amazing.
What a showman! And what's wrong with the conductor? This is a concert and the audience wanted more, don't argue with the star, let him sing an encore. Apparently Franco made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
He's old and worn out from singing high notes wherever he goes. It's not just something people say, Bonisolli actually went slightly crazy during his latter years. If you want to hear Bonisolli when he was young and suprisingly lyrical, find out his early (68 I think) recording of La Traviata.

And they called Bonisolli "Il pazzo"? The pazzo was the conductor - why would he have Franco leave the scene, if the public were acclaiming him!! The public wanted to have him then and there. He was an incredible voice, I guess that he was one of the best dramatic tenors after Del Monaco&Corelli retired, especially as Manrico of course. Franco bonisolli an outstanding tenor. He had great high notes rich and full...........sometime I think that great singers or voices like Mr. Bonisolli are sabotaged by certain powers to be....there is no reason why Bonisolli should not stand with greatest of tenor....yet many are not aware or recognized his great talent. Some of The so called great tenor of today ...are just glorified lounge singers.
I once gave this guy a kudos years ago here. Now that I've seen since Bonisolli ragazzi pazzi slamming other tenors, all I gotta say is his nickname Il Pazzo is well deserved. Tu sai veramente apprezzare l'opera e il canto lirico, io veramente mi stupisco a livelli sbalorditivi quando vedo che la gente ammira kaufmann domingo pavarotti, loro dovevano abbassare la tonalità di quest'aria, è comunque steccavano.

Tiene un huracan de voz!!! registro propio para esta clase de Opera, sanguineo100%, voces maravillosas, como esta, pocas. Lamentablemente la mayoría de estas voces son de tiempo corto, y eso es una pena... no se si este gran cantante, aun canta. Espero que si.
A ver, imagínate que él se atrevió a cantar dos veces el aria con la tonalidad correcta Do de pecho también llamado High C, solo la técnica puede darte esa confianza para cantar esta aria dos veces ante un publico tan critico. Eso significa que la tecnica le mantenia la voz fresca, los agudos de bonisolli fueron siempre frescos y seguros, murió hace como 20 años, pero si hubiera estado vivo créeme que habría sido uno de los pocos tenores que mantienen su voz. Olvídate de pavarotti plaicido domingo kaufmann, son simplemente una burla a la inteligencia de los que de verdad amamos la voz libre y fresca de la lirica, como Bonisolli, Kraus, angelo loforese,jussi bjorling
Cuando un cantane ,un director,una orquesta y el publico pueden establecer un proceso sinergico de esta naturaleza,no hay locura de por medio,puede haber cierta excentricidad propia de una estrella,pero si puede afirmarse que hay emocion y por ende compenetracion. Es lo que antes deciamos de que el cantante se echaba al publico: " al bolsillo" ,lo cual es un proceso psicologico que no es propio unicamente de los cantantes populares,cuyas voces son amplificadas y artificiales.

Bonisolli at least is an operatic singer, yes he struggling with high notes. Maybe because of age or it is his own problem. But he is a gentleman, adore him.
At least, despite his unpredictable temperament, he sung and knew how to sing, Not perfectly of course but with all his heart out to his public, not so unlike today's crop of subdued tenors, uninspired and uninspring. What a bore .... Bless you Franco.

Sadly most sheeple do not realize what they have until it is gone. And only then only a few realize what a diamond was had.
