Didn’t realize that Jason is now working for Festool. Good for him.

I love my 1400. I truly had no idea it could be that much better than my Bosch work horses, but when doing a huge number of cabinets, I bought everything needed for the LR32 system, and opted for the 1400 over the 1010 so I could use multiple collets and bit sizes. It's a truly remarkable tool. My router table retains the Bosch, but the second Bosch is pretty much idle now all the time. I'm considering getting a 1010 for dedicated LR32 use, and use the 1400 more broadly. The Bosch is great. It's a solid work horse. But the 1400 is just... **chef's kiss**

Great video. I have the OF 1400 and it is hands down my favorite router. I have all the accessories mentioned, including the LR32. They are all worth it. All these tools make the jobs I have been doing easier…. And safer.

Assuming that the rotatable stepped stop (term used in the manual) work the same way on all Festool routers: You are missing one very important detail for setting the depth stop accurately ! Festool has designed the rotatable stepped stop with a spring lifting the stops up slightly (0.4 mm on my OF 1010 R). It is therefore mandatory for an accurate setting of the depth to press down on the depth stop rod when setting the router depth - with the words of the OF 1010 R manual: "Press the depth stop [1-3] against one of the three fixed stops of the rotatable stepped stop [1-2]." Festool probably think that the spring loading of the rotatable stop is a feature. I tend to regard it as a fault that I need to work around each time I set the depth but that's probably just me...

I have an OF1400 and the depth adjustment system really messes with my head. You need a printed flow chart to figure out where you need the depth rod, depth stop, locking collar, microadjust. It's way too easy to change your setting by mistake and lose your progress. It's also impossible to set for anything other than a flat plunge bit. So setting up a guided chamfer bit for example is nearly impossible. And you cannot set a maximum height so if you have a big bit and you release the plunge it will crash into your dust shroud.
On the other hand, my Milawukee trim router is so easy to understand. It's just a lock and a dial and I can sneak that up to the perfect setting without any fear of failure.

How to make 16' radius arch without using center point? Arch length 4'

I sold my car and bought a Shaper Origin...this is the only way I found to make radius without having a center pin for a jig.
