I love when new Giants come out. Two weeks ago I bought the 2022.Revolt 2 for 699 Euros, ditched the seatpost and fiddly shim, added a larger seatpost and now it rocks. I have it in the metallic shimmering paint job with orangish red decal. Love the color because it changes with the lighting. Such a smooth ride. Thanks Giant!
Dear Giant, some tips for the next Revolt: 1) BSA threaded bottom bracket, you can even use the 73mm standard; 2) UDH; 3) EXTERNAL CABLES; 4) and I say this as a current Revolt owner and massive Giant fan (over 20 complete bikes/frame over the years), make it less ugly. Seriously, the prototype paint/graphics look awesome, the retail versions are revolting (see what I did there?).
Agree with all points, UDH and External cables at the top of my list. Also the Digital Blurple from this year is one of the best looking colours I've seen on a bike - the new ones aren't as nice for sure.
This was my first thought, too. Sram Transmission drivetrains are perfect for a lot of gravel applications and the XPLR direct mount derailleurs are right around the corner. If it's not possible to implement UDH via an adapter which replaces the flip chip dropout, the new bike is already dated at it's launch and far from future proof.
Idk about gravel bike or the Revolt, but the TCX is my bike with a 2X drive train,11x36, 50/40 chainrings, and external cable routing. I tested one and i loved it😊 It was a race machine through and through. Climb aboard a TCX and Xcclerate😊
I just dismantled my old xtc - the frame is in good conditioned though painted pink and blue. If I send you guy the frame can you then send me one of these new Revolts? Thanks, I have notifications turned on.
I'm not buying any new bikes or accessories. Period. Between the proprietary parts and phasing out perfectly good technology like rim brakes, you've shown us that you don't care what we want, you only want to sell us what you think is most profitable for your shareholders. And after the four year feast you've had at our expense, I don't really care whether you starve. I'm riding what I've got until I can no longer find parts at swap meets.
So the bikes are getting worse? No, they’re not. I am sick of hearing from the “new bikes suck, it’s a conspiracy theory” cult. Rim brakes suck. 23 mm tires suck. Electric shifting is way better than mechanical. What’s the point of crying? You don’t like new bikes and are not buying one, so why whine about it? I am never buying a new car, the car companies are purposely phasing out good technology like hand crank starting, wooden wheels, and kerosene headlights.
That flip chip for 10mm longer/shorter chainstays is so stupid. Huge miss for not going with UDH. This "new" bike is dead when sram releases direct mount 13s XPLR this year.

I want one 2022 of course.
Got a pre-fit from Bell Lap Cycleworks, ordered the Giant Revolt Adv 2, and they fit it for me. Love the bike!

good points, but i suspect that udh and the adjustable rear flipchip are incompatible
Do you also get seat post water ingress? I taped mine up as the rubber grommit sucks.
I don't understand why the flip chip drop out instead of a udh drop out.

Bikes don't win races, people do. When will we learn.
Actually really disappointed. I was hoping for Trekky’s bike but the components are a level down and the paint job was better on the prototype
❤️🇰🇪👌🏿

Exactly. No one cares if you want to drive your 1992 car.
This video is missing the voice of a women’s pro rider.
Wouldn't that be for the Liv Devote? This is the Giant Revolt.
That’s a fair point. I see Peta Mullens is riding a Devote in the LTGP.
A real woman, or.........?
maybe thats the next video
