- Today on The Railway Room is a look at Castle Caereinion - A 009 narrow gauge model railway layout by Martyn Harrison. The layout depicts Castle Caereinion station on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway in 4mm scale. Filmed at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition in November 2023

(I’m in Canada and with the delay in shipping issue 302 is the most current copy and I’ve just picked up the magazine on the weekend. )

Great video, my grandson really enjoyed watching it. We've been doing mockups on his baseboard of his 009 layout plans. Hopefully, it won't be long before he can get started.....cheers James 🙂👍

A bit of dodgy running over that set of points. I wondered if that was a back to back issue or something wrong with the track. Enjoyed the video.
I really did wonder about whether or not to include that last shot (it's at the end for a reason). I've seen this layout 3 times now, and rather typically the only time there was an issue was when the camera was out!
@@FortheLoveofSteam Wow! that's some of the best filming of my layout I have seen - Thank you for taking the time and interest. Rest assured, that dodgy turnout is being replaced as the rail had expanded over the weekend and short of taking a set of rail cutters to it during the show there was not much I could do. As it is all hand built track you sometimes get the odd problem. The perils of exhibiting! I hope the layout inspires other to model the Welshpool.
