Fjällräven owns another company called Primus. Primus sells a bottle called Klunken. It was made to fit in to the side pocket of the Kånken backpack. I have one and it´s great!
Thank you for your video. I bought the laptop version of yours - so I can put valuables the back and lock the two zips together if needed. Also I bought narrower 600ml water bottle which fits like a dream . I also got crafty and sewed a key clip into the front pocket so I know where my keys are. I absolutely love mine and use it for everything!
The reason why the straps are like that I believe is that obviously the history of it was designed for school children so I suppose was a feature that they kept in.
I think the snaps on the straps are in case you plan to use it as a tote bag but don't want the straps trailing along the ground. Just pull them out and snap them up.
How is the black colour holding up for you? I want an all black no.2, but some people have said theirs has turned brown in a few months...I don't want to spend that amount of money if that's going to happen!
So mine still looks as good as new... I do store it in a dark cupboard when it's not out and about with me so that might make a difference but I haven't noticed any fading :-)
