  • A short visit to Kenny O to see Mayflower passing on its way to Windsor proved to be very frustrating. The inbound empty stock movement to Victoria disappeared from Traksy and RTT in the Wembley area for over an hour. Consequently the expected pass didn't take place until well after I had to leave. I left on an Overground service via Willesden Junction. The ECS passed me while we were stopped at Shepherds Bush. If only I had been able to wait another ten minutes I would at least have seen the drag at KO.
The day improved with productive visits to Stratford and Bethnal Green. Thhose videos have already been published.

Nice seeing these trains here, as it isn't a normal serviced station on district line.

For my earlier video about the West London line I had to do some filming at the weekend to get the District Line trains.

Well apparently soon London Overground are to start introducing the Class 710/3 5-Car units on the West London Line and North London Line. Which some of them are already operating on the Euston-Watford Junction DC Line.

Huge difference in that Station. Opp the old Platform is behind the new platform which is over an okd track. Used to be Freight Motor Rail and loads of sidings.

Yes. Big changes to the station and the services over the years. Very interesting history, including the LNWR electrification, the Middle Circle etc.

Excellent as always Mr Boogie, shame to didn't get to see the kettle on this occasion, especially as that is what you'd set out to do. Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙

Hi. Third rail electrification is the standard system in the former Southern Railway area covering southern England from Dover to Weymouth and is also used in some other areas. This section of the West London Line was originally electrified around 1916 by the LNWR using the four rail system that is still used by London Underground. The history of the railways around Kensington Olympia is quite complicated but very interesting.
