I agree, it just makes it look like they are trying way too hard to make the fights look cool and they just end up looking goofy. Like they are missing point blank shots and that is apparently suppose to look cool lol. This is the kind of stuff a dumb teenager would think of. Not professional fight chirographers. These movies are just way too action heavy for my taste. and they kind of lost sight of what made Resident Evil great to begin with. The horror.

@@Yuh_98 except that was one of the best one on one fights in the whole JW franchise, they made it way more believable there. Here it's just entire arsenals unloaded at point blank range with a weird mix of efficient and inefficient movement which is sort of what puts this into the goofy but fun territory. Or goofy butt fun, whichever i suppose

One thing I love is that when Chris runs out of bullets at 0:20 he gently puts the gun down. Movie heroes always throw their guns away like they're useless forever now. He's thinking "This is expensive, just gonna carefully place this here and come back for it later."
A gun can handle a hard knock or two but what really gets damaged is the sight. You would have to zero it again

All the other protagonists (except Leon) were useless in the movie and did nothing really impressive except teaming up for more fan service. This is why i cannot take the CG movies seriously. They want to make gun fighting fun, but in reality they make it a joke. Chris gets awards for using weapons, accuracy, and aiming. If this movie was accurate, Chris would have hit him with the first shot.

Who cares if its dumb, its still possibly one of the most badass fight scenes in cinema history, and resident evil is all about being dumb but badass.
Chris Fighting style is based on Strength and Grappling methods. He based most on his move using boxing method and grappling techniques of judo
Glenn Arias uses speed and agility based fighting style where he used speed and counter attacks.
Both uses their advantage in the fight, Chris uses his strength to overpower his opponents and try to force his way through the defenses. While Glenn uses his speed and agility to dodge Chris Grappling and attacks but in his hurry to overpower Chris he forgets that the floor is glass and when the glass is shattered, Chris uses this opportunity to overturn by throwing his enemy with a throw takedown 30 story fall.
This is so absurd yet looks so amazing at the same time.
My toxic trait is thinking I can fight like Chris and Glenn, knowing damn well I never had any martial arts training
