Hey wayton, I got in the same game with you and Phantom and I had a really fun time. It was the one with the “rizzo” and I was ImTired. It was a really great moment for me in rocket league and I’m really happy that I was able to play with you guys.
I really enjoy this game mode, specially if I play it with a friend, but in my laptop it has performance issues, so I prefer playing other games modes to not suffer from dropped frames, but I really hope this is added as a permanent game mode or at least it appears often as heataeeker does

Kind of gives me a vibe of the game Mad Tracks were you could pick up packages with weapons to get rid of opponents on the map. Let's hope that Knockout Bash will get developed even more!

Adding knockout into extras or comp would be a terrible decision on the part of Psyonix. This gamemode feels half-baked and even the things that are here just... SUCK. Firstly, the gamemode is rock paper scissors and doesn't have a high skill ceiling. The first 5 minutes consists of grabbing people and spiking them down since you cant kill them with regular attacks (recoveries are too strong). Then when sudden ko comes on, and regular attacks are useful, you basically just have to guess what move someone will do and try to counter it. It's almost entirely luck, once you have the execution of throwing people then there's hardly any skill involved. Secondly, you can literally just camp on the walls of the map until final 2-3 without consequence. There's no incentive to fighting, people can just dodge, so if it was competitive, most people probably wouldn't want to actively fight and everyone would just wait. Thirdly, how would ranking even work in Knockout? There's 1 winner and 7 losers, and no easy way to make an MMR system without either making people too reckless (if kills count) or just playing extremely passive (if wins count). To have comp potential, the moves would have to be reworked so you can actually combo, or something that takes skill other than grabbing and spiking (which Leth had already mastered), and the maps would have to be improved, instead of just being a couple platforms and spike pillars.

Most satisfying thing if u ask me is being in a 1v1 in the end, you have 2 life’s, your opponent 1. You grab him and just jump into the lava or spikes. So satisfying .

It's a nice rock paper scissors game. Counter > Attack > Grab > Counter Plus you can feint and do all sorts of crazy tricks. I'm having so much fun playing this mode.

My favorite tactic in the 1 vs 1 situation is to Dodge red(hit) then blue(grab) red and blue again. And if i fail to get em out ill mix it up. 3 blues and a red and send em flying. It plays with people's minds. I miss this mode
attack doesn't kill people until sudden ko, they'll just come back and keep grabbing you. the original commenter is correct in saying there's no counter, especially when you don't have momentum it's impossible to counter.
I wish Psyonix would have displayed standings for Knockout. I was getting 7-10 knockouts each match. I had to be up there in the top 100 for knockouts. Either way, I really hope this game becomes a permanent edition to the game.
Remove 1 flip and the mode becomes much more balanced. More difficult to recover from those booming attacks, making flip-attacks more viable. You can recover from a mile away right now because of the 4 flips + 2 jumps
The 0 ping game mode is annoying, but there is a new bug, in ranked some times it shows that I am unranked in lobbies and shows the unranked logo instead of the rank logo.
I like the idea of the game, but they need to nerf the grab heavily. It's supposed to be a trifecta situation but grab overpowers the other two moves tremendously. I think the biggest issue is that you can spam X to get out of a grab but as soon as they throw you the stun is reset and you get the full duration. This means it's ridiculously easy for people to just grab you, go over an edge and turn over, then throw you down to the ground with literally 0 counter responses. It seems as though grabs also take priority over attacks, so that's not a good counter before hand. I'm not sure how they'd solve 4-man teams because I think it'd kill the game if you couldn't bring friends. Perhaps that doesn't need to be addressed. Other than grabs, I could see it being a permanent fun casual mode. Flying out to reach someone struggling to get back and sending them flying once more is a wonderful experience.

Commenter addressed the fact that it's supposed to be RPS but is saying that Grab is just a more OP move since it's so hard to break out of once it happens, whereas recovering from a block or normal attack is really easy. I totally agree with that. Grab is better than the other 2 moves until Sudden KO.

I love when people only use 1 mechanic the entire game. It makes it too easy to counter them
I think the grab should be a little slower because there's not a reliable counter to it. But it is fun

How to avoid getting bullied by grabbers- spam main attack like your life depends on it
