    the ABS rings are removable on a clio , you can buy them separately from most places like GSF, they are £25 each just heat them up until they expand enough to pull them off then heat the new ones and fit. easy. just be careful of the cv boot getting too hot,!

    Funny how useless TH-cam search is nowadays.
    I tried to find a video like this, but only found some awful short video garbage.
    And here you are the following day in my recommended with a detailed video of the exact thing I need.
    Thanks for the video nonetheless!

    Great video - thanks! We did the job yesterday on an 1,4 16V Megane. The job itself was much easier than I expected (having seen how to do it). ABS fault gone and the telltale knocking on left/right turns gone.

    Nice video,very clear; you already know you should replace only the tone wheel, with some heat,much cheaper.

    well executed,one things I Would strongly suggest,when tightening the hub nut you use a torque wrench and torque it in a certain sequence or else the bearings in the hub will have a lot shorter life,
    The damper or vibration piece you had on the drivers side that was on the old drive shaft,can they be placed on the new one,

    Thanks for this demo.
    I have a Renault Sandero that's been leaking oil from between the inner joint of the driveshaft and the gearbox. Thankfully, the left-hand driveshafts are similar with this Clio in the demo. I was really worried and thought there should be a seal that goes between the shaft and the gearbox to hold all that gearbox oil.

    Were the wheel bolts and driveshaft nuts pre loosened to this video. They required very little effort to be undone. Seems they havent been torqued prevously. I iknow for a fact the fron hub nuts are around 280nm and the wheel bolts 105nm. Please use a torque wrench thered no way they were done up to spec

    Hello, great job man well done 👍🏼 .I will replace my cv boot seal this week and both abs rings at driveshafts but i dont have air tool and no newtonMeter can i do the job with regular keys? By hand ?
    I see that you put an extra air filter can you tell me why ? You leave the old air filter box?? Usually the replace all filter box .
    You put the aftermarket filter for make more noise??
    And something else maybe you may know.
    I have the clio 1.4 16V 98ps 2002 model i have change in this month a airsensor , oxygen sensor , engine water sensor , the 4+1 rubber seals at air intake i make twice clean throttle body new original sparks new oil new airfilter new Map sensor but when i start the car the revs goes done to 300rpm and after 3-5 sec goes by itself to 850rpm.
    Some times after the service I’ve done the car has one missfire only one not every day but some days .
    At summer when air is hot it start at normal revs.
    The car has plug to RENAULT clip and has not error or fault all is normal .
    Only one that i dont replace is the crankshaft sensor but i think its not the issue
    Thanks for tour time and sorry for disturb you.

      poulios1 sorry I have only just seen this message - I have an induction kit fitted instead of the standard air box - also you can use normal tools and will not need air tools as you can see in this video - a breaker bar will help with nm etc.. I hope this helps

    Hey - do I need to grease either side of the new axle prior to installing? Have seen other videos where they're like slopping grease into the gaiters. Thanks

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      LWSJNS you could use a little bit on the ends - and I would suggest copper greese 👍🏻 I had no problems not using any as there isn't any on them from new 😁

    I need to do this job on an auto box 1.4. Apparently the box is sealed will it still loose fluid or is it a different setup to the manual ones?

    Hello could you please tell me where the hell is the driveshaft sealant ? I talking about the part 8:40 ? Mine is leaking and wanted to change but where is it ? And what about that rubber in the middle of the old driveshaft in 19:45 ? Don't you need to mount it on the new one ?

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      8.06 is the seal that seals the driveshaft into the hole - its is the black round rubber part that is held in by 3 nuts :) also you will need to buy the complete piece that you see around the drive shaft in the 8.06 - if you add me on Facebook i will send you a Ebay link.
      The round part on the old driveshaft in 19.45 is a counter weight but the new shaft is already balanced and don't need it, so don't worry to much about that as new ones are made without them now :) i hope this helps

    • @mateusz1399
      @mateusz1399 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I'm going to change complete drive shaft on the left side. Hmm thats strange because I found a part number for seal is Corteco CO12015423. Did you put this oring from 8:06 to the new drive shaft boot ?

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mateusz K basically the cv boot at the end of the open driveshaft is the seal and the metal bracket holds it into place 👍🏻

    zasto mjenjac cijelu poluosovinu , kad je moguce promjeniti samo nazubljeni prsten ?

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      danijel brkic yes you are correct - you can just change the abs ring itself but it is a lot of hassle and takes time, This was a simple and cheaper option 😀 the shafts were only £35 each 👍🏻

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      danijel brkic Danijel Brkić Da točno - možete samo promijeniti samu ABS prsten, ali to je puno muke i potrebno je vrijeme, ovo je jednostavna i jeftinija opcija - osovine su samo £ 35 svaki 👍🏻

    • @DBvideo-s
      @DBvideo-s 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Croatia, the whole shaft costs 65 euros, and ABS ring costs 12 euros .. I'm changing but I was far more favorable and it is not difficult to change

    • @FL4MEWITHA4
      @FL4MEWITHA4  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      danijel brkic make a video and post it up - 👍🏻 if not do pictures as you will help a lot of people 😄 - that's quite a difference in price isn't it... also if you send me the picture I can do a how to guide for you and give you the credit 👍🏻
