    Damn, this video makes Toronto look absolutely stunning. You've really captured the heart of Toronto especially with the diverse food. I've lived here my whole life and yet, I suddenly have the urge to go to Kensington market. I'm so (happily) surprised at all the comments saying they want to visit Toronto, do come! Thoses last shots of the video were especially beautiful. LOVE THIS, great job!

      It’s dirty big city

    • @cdb5001
      @cdb5001 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      BELITEGA it’s hideous in terms of the buildings because there’s no preservation of historical architecture. It’s also full of image-conscious douches who moved here in their 20’s and 30’s but think it’s their “6”. Toronto used to have a soul but it’s gone now.

    • @bobbbxxx
      @bobbbxxx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cdb5001 Oh please. Everyone thinks places were better when they were young because we were better when we were young. It's a myopic way of viewing the world.

    • @cdb5001
      @cdb5001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bobbbxxx ok chief. If you and you're psychology degree say so. Is there a lot of good about present Toronto? Absolutely. But does that mean that certain things weren't better in prior times? If you don't think so then you're fooling yourself.

    • @bobbbxxx
      @bobbbxxx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cdb5001 I live in the present, Cd, not the past. I've experienced both, but have chosen to move on. Sure I had fun back in the day because I was young, in great shape and lived la vida loca. Some things change and become more sedate when you get older, but you have to find your groove and let go of the past. Toronto is an amazing city; to visit or to live in. Canadians habitually undervalue what is one of the most interesting cities anywhere.

    3:55 Really well put together list here John! I thought of a few other spots while watching, mostly Toronto-West because that's where I've lived for 25 years. If anyone else can recommend other places please comment below! -
    il Paesano's Pizzeria - (Brown's Line) - Open since 1959. il Paesano's has the best pizza that I've had in Toronto. The only thing they dont make is chicago deepdish but only because its not authentic italian. They also have other italian classics which still taste just as good as they did when I was a kid.
    Sushi on Bloor - Highest quality sushi in Toronto that I have had so far. There are cheaper alternatives with smaller crowds, but Sushi on Bloor is always packed for good reason.
    FairGrounds - (near LongBranch) - Best coffee in the city hands down, they roast organic coffee berries in the back of the shop and have espresso machines which cost more than a small car.
    Scaramouche - Luxury dining experience.
    Olde Yorke Fish & Chips - best fish and chips in the city
    The Dirty Bird - best fried chicken in the city
    Wanda's Pie in the Sky (Kensington) - Expensive but very tasty vegan food, cafe & restaurant
    (bonus)
    about 10 minutes west of Toronto Pearson airport (in Mississauga) there is a restaurant called Iron Chef at the intersection of Eglinton x Tomken. Great Japanese BBQ that they cook right in front of you. 9/10 for taste and the entertainment while they cook.

    Used to commute to Toronto for school, and I miss the food the most. It really is something special when it comes to the culture and diversity of food available. I came away from Toronto with my taste completely changed. Of course the clubs and music were also amazing. Thank you for the video.

      I can't tell what I'm humbled more by. The fact that the busker himself replied... or the city of Toronto itself did!
      I live far too close to be whining about not going back to Toronto. When I do, it will be for the food.

    • @bobbbxxx

      The contemporary hipster movement began in North America, not London, so it is probably more advanced and diverse than you realise by looking at videos. Half the population of Greater Toronto was born outside of Canada. Check out Toronto some time.
