I just bought mines a week ago and man it’s so fast. I took it down to Duram town Saturday and it was awesome. It accelerates just as fast as a 2 stroke and takes curves also good.. It’s everything I want and more. Mind you I’m 51 years old! There is hope after all!

I enjoy riding my raptor in the back woods, the 23" up front with 22" tires in rear are a must for getting grip in the woods and mud. I also have a 5 mm stroker crank 11:1 piston, breathable air box and exhaust, EFI controller, geared a little taller, Hinson clutch basket and plates. Just waiting to do a plus 2 mm intake and exhaust next. Thumper quads are fun when you can literally feel the low end torque wrap on the throttle and pull it up at 75 mph in 4th shift in 5th and hit ridiculous speed. So much potential in this machine.

Lovely looking quad. I like it alot. It depends where your going to ride it but I would powder coat parts on it. Upgrade the axel new seat Power commander wheels etc I have a 09 it's looked after. And it's rapid compared to friends. Enjoy riding 👌🏽

How did you ride the first 20 hours? I got a 2020 yfz and my dealer said not to smash on it for the first 20 hours. Something about breaking in the engine on it. Please let me know how fast you were riding,

TSE Riders I have the medium raptor bend so their a little shorter then the factory bar, it uses pro taper bar clamps

They just have it listed as "red" on their website. I've seen video of the 2014 YFZ and its definitely similar! the darker tone of red definitely looks the same

How do you feel about the Kim 525xc ?
The KTM's are amazing machines to ride but a ton of maintenance to keep running. I would love to have one again someday but it wouldn't be ridden much to keep the hours to a minimum. Those motors pack a punch and don't last very long unfortunately

Hi, i wanted to ask which is better, the raptor 700r, raptor 700rSE or the raptor 700r special edition?
The Special edition Raptors come with better suspension. If you plan to upgrade the suspension regardless then you should find a 700r to save money and then upgrade the shocks 👍

did you buy a programmer thing when you changed the pipe. I hear Lots of mixed things like You MUST get a new programmer for any exhaust change and some say you Dont need to do that for a simple slip on pipe only a full system. What did you do??
LiveFreeOrRIP mine has a power commander. From what I’ve seen and read it sounds like a good idea even for a slip on. You could probably get away with it but I would get one if I were you.

Obviously they are a pro taper. But what handlebar set up did you buy and what bar mounts did you use to be able to install those aftermarket handlebars. Looking for some for my raptor
I have the handlebars and the oversized clamps linked in my video descriptions. The handlebars are called the Pro Taper Contour. I went with the "ATV mid" bend. They come in 4 bends. Low, Mid, High, And Raptor bend. I'm 5'10 and actually wanted to lower the bars so I dropped from the raptor bend to the mid bend. You need the oversized clamps for the bars so make sure you order them if you buy the handlebars

I bought a brand new 2019 raptor 700 out of the box. When running yours for the first lil but was there ever a noise coming from the front left tire area?
lol yup. It drove me nuts, I thought something was making noise up in the front wheel but it's the chain actually. Noises can be deceiving but I've seen a lot of posts on that noise in Raptor groups on facebook and everyone says it's the chain. Apparently a different roller can help reduce the amount. I know everyone buys DRW case savers and I think the new ones help remedy that problem. I'm not 100% sure on that though
Well thanks bud that eases my mind for sure. I thought something was really messed up with my machine. I’m gunna look into getting a good case saver for it then. Any other part recommendations I should get for my machine?
@@robertburling9112 I do have my parts list in my video descriptions. I went with the Upp Racing case saver but I probably would've gotten a DRW one if I had known how popular they were. The Upp case saver allowed me to keep the factory cover over the front chain ring, the DRW replaces that cover and I don't think it's quite as "clean" looking. As far as other mods go I did widen the machine 2 inches total with 1 inches spacers on the front and rear. Most people say spacers are dangerous but I haven't had any issues with mine (knock on wood) If you get a set I would buy the more expensive products you find. I've never ridden the 700 at stock width but I feel like I would notice it if I took them off. The fun thing about the Raptor is theres tons of aftermarket for it so you can really make it into your own machine. I'm in tons of Facebook Raptor groups and thats a good place to see what other people are running for parts 👍

Hey...you have HMF exhaust...only exhaust or exhaust+optimizer (power comander)? No problem with injections, spark, fuel?

How did you do the engine break in ?
I did a longer break in process on the Raptor but for the YFZ I did 3, 15 minute heat cycles at varied RPM’s and let the motor fully cool in between each cycle (it takes a few hours for a motor to cool down to the ambient temp) after the 3rd heat cycle I rode it however I wanted. I’ve talked to several riders and builders and a lot do them tend to do the 3 cycle method. The 20 hour break in recommendation is pretty overkill in my opinion. Hope this helps! 👍

Depends on if you want a Sport ATV or Utility ATV. Can am and Polaris build 1000cc quads. The 700 Raptor is one of the biggest displacement straight axle sport quads.

For sure! If your gonna go big bore sport 4x4 then you're gonna want to look into the Can Am Renegade 1000 or Scrambler 1000. The Raptor 700 has a great reputation for reliability so thats why I picked it. Another thing to consider is what all your friends ride. If they're all on 4x4's you may want to get a similar machine.

@@hellothere5192 You can still get the raptor in blue. I actually just ordered a little mirror for the handlebar and got a permit so I can ride on some of our paved roads. I'm going to ride later this week for the first time in forever

Hello There51 it didn’t come with a speedo. There’s a temperature warning light but I’ve been told if that comes in that it’s normally bad news. Look up the must have mods by Cuervo Racing. I’m pretty sure he had a cheap temperature gauge you could rig up
What was the retail? what would compare the bike to a 450r?
They retail for $9200. I bought a few upgrades and a 4 year extended warranty. Its a lot of money but I wanted peace of mind. I know theres tons of great use machines out there but i'm hoping to do some crazy rides with this. who knows, maybe 300 miles in one day next year??

Abdulla Alameri it has an HMF full system, a power commander, the pro taper bars, an alba rear grab bar, 1inch wheel spacers front and rear, and I have a pro armor bumper that’s getting powder coated and will be installed next week. I just uploaded a short video with the exhaust note

How did you get the key to be on the fender?
You can dismount the ignition from that handlebar cover and drill a hole in the plastic and remount it wherever you like. Just make sure the hole is nice and snug so it fits well 👍

So what's a good price for the 2019r se now that the 2020 model is out.. I went there today and they told me 10,400 and another place told me 9,000 for used one.. idk what to do or anything about these
hmm I would say if the 2020 is out I would expect to pay less than retail for sure. Maybe you can walk out the door for closer to 8K for a brand new one. I would call around and see what they can do for you. I paid just under 9k for mine but bought the 4 year extended warranty for $800

I have them linked in my video description. They're the Pro Taper Contour. I have the ATV mid bend. They're about half the height of the factory handlebars so if you like the stock bend I would get the Raptor Bend. You also need different bar clamps since their oversized bars. I have the bar clamps linked in my description as well 👍
What bar clamp did you use? Also what bend are those bars?
They’re a “mid bend” Atv handlebar. The bar clamps are just standard pro taper clamps. The set up wasn’t too expensive

congratulations. hey question for you did you change the location for the key ? mine has it on the top and in the video yours has it on the left side.
My dealer relocated the key to that location since I had them install the aftermarket bars right away

The HMF full system, is that just the 2018 version? I have the same 700RSE and HMF said they arent sure if the 18 version will work. I assume it does but again.. I assume. I was looking at the same candy red version.
Chris Lavery it’s an HMF full system. My local Yamaha dealer became an HMF dealer and this exhaust was built to order. I’m assuming there’s no differences between the last several model years and it should work
Where did you get your license plate bracket
That bracket is a factory part and comes on the newer raptors. Your local dealer should be able to order one 👍
Wow, looking at that thing in the crate I actually kind of feel bad for it. It has no idea the thrashing that it's going to receive over its lifetime.
