Thank you for sharing your amazing trip with us. Your presentations are so down-to-earth and authentic. Although we will probably never be able to go on such a grand adventure, it is great to be able to see it through your eyes!
Nancy - I also collect Christmas ornaments at each place we visit. Perhaps several times throughout the cruise you can show the ornaments you’ve picked up. 🎄
You’ve absolutely inspired us to look at a South American cruise. The scenery is just stunning! A bit of an expensive trip from Australia but it looks so worth it. 😛 Those fjords were so beautiful ❤
Debbie, thank you so much for the super thanks. That was more than generous of you. Yes, South America was amazing and quite a surprise to us how much we really did enjoy it. We've said about many of the stops, as you probably saw in our videos, we would love to go back and visit again. Hope you can make it there from Australia. And we will see your lovely land in just a couple of weeks. Thanks again!!!
One of my other favorite travel blogs is Snow and Curt. They drove their converted van with two cats all the way from the US to Ushuaia and are now traveling Europe in their van. They share in depth visits with the people, the wildlife, the grocery stores, even the medical systems (Snow is recovering from heart failure) and they have the luxury of time in places they like. While your life and travels look very comfortable and luxurious aboard ship and on tours, I think just getting the barest glimpse of each place you visit would be frustrating to me, so I applaud your plans to revisit places you especially enjoyed on your journey. I will probably never visit most of these places, so I applaud you for taking viewers along to enjoy your adventures vicariously. Safe travels and thank you for taking us along.
Thank you for following along on our journey. We have called this trip the sampler platter, and we can then decide if and when what places we will return to.😀
Today, Feb 11, we are here in San Pedro, CA looking at your ship, waving you off on the next segment of your world cruise. Enjoy the crossing, you could not be more fortunate to enjoy the beautiful weather here today. Bonaire Voyage! John and Lil.
We enjoyed the opportunity to drive down to the pier. It gave us the feeling of being a very small part of your voyage. We have seen all your videos so far. Great job editing and narrating. @@livingphase2
Such great content. Thanks for sharing and you do a marvelous job with the narration and editing. Always entertaining! I’ve been following the ship on Marine Traffic so when I saw you calling on Ushuaia I was really excited for this episode. It’s on my bucket list, so happy you said you would gladly return. I think I may go just for those crab legs!😂
Thank you for your videos, I'm really enjoying travelling with you. I did a world cruise done years ago and you are bringing back great memories. Carry on enjoying and sharing your enthusiasm.
You give the best tips! I don't think I'll most likely end up in Ushuaia in my travels, but so great to know to bring local currency to the post office just in case I do end up making the trip. Sorry you didn't get to eat the whole crab, but glad you at least got in and got to eat some dishes with it in there. We hope to have some on our Alaskan cruise on Quantum in July! That Malbec for $3-$5 a bottle! WOW! That's amazing! I'd love to hear a quick update if you open a bottle what you thought of it. Thank you for the beautiful shots of the waterfalls! I totally hear you that the photos and videos won't do them justice. There's something amazing about how small you feel in a place like that. And thank you again for sharing!
What's a travel by myself a little bit but I can't do it by myself anymore because of my knees and my back😢 but I love watching your videos it makes me feel like I'm there
That was an amazing vlog. I've always love seeing what the ports and area around the bottom part of the world. But seeing the beauty of Antarctic is truly appreciated. Thanks for showing us your adventures
I so enjoy your videos I did travel with my mom a little bit she has such wonderlust and passed it on to me I've been to the one of the wonders of the world with her in Mexico and she travels through Europe by herself before I was born
Thank you for sharing your adventures. My wife and I love watching them. Hopefully one day we can do the same cruise when we officially retire. Have fun and enjoy and again thank you for sharing.
Really enjoyed your video. You both seem very wholesome, genuine and most lovely. I recognized you two from a collection of clips from what i would call "The 9 Month Drama Cruise" talking about how they had run out of a bunch of wine on your cruise. I am glad that they let you buy and bring your own then. I hope you continue to have a great time and enjoy yourselves. Thank you so much
@@livingphase2 That remains devastating nonetheless for a wino like me🤣 I am so glad that you all are not going through The Red Sea and the Suez and rerouting. That will make your May much better. Stay safe and continue to be ray of sunshine on that boat you are on to the both of you.👏🏻🎉💕
I have enjoyed your vlogs so much. Although my husband loves to cruise, the longest one I was able to get him on was a 10 Mediterranean cruise. There is no way I could get him on a 9 month cruise. But I love everything you have shown. Stay safe and God bless.
Love watching your travels.. I just googled Salvatore Hasard to watch him singing We are the World.. I have just finished watching a documentary on the making of we are the world and he did an amazing job with all parts. Thanks for bringing this entertainer to my attention..
Thank you for bringing us along with you on this cruise! I feel like I am traveling with you. Love your positive attitude and flexibility during your travel.
So good so see you really throwing yourselves into everything, with understanding and appreciation. I think you are enjoying this so much because you are so open and not ‘entitled’ or ‘superior’. People like you deserve experiences like this - keep being great humans 🙂 If you back to Ushuaia or Punta Arenas, take the side trip to Torres del Paine National park for a few days at least. Sounds like a fabulous trip. I think we may have passed each other “ships in the night”. We were in Ushuaia on1/25 then headed down to Antarctica. We did the Falkland Islands on 2/1 and Uruguay on 2/4 before finishing our cruise on 2/5 in Buenos Aires. Another amazing adventure.

Typically, we are not afraid to eat street food. As for exchanging money, for us to get out local currency, we have to go to an ATM. When we return to the ship, if we have any remaining currency, sometimes the casino will exchange it back for dollars, but not always. Surprisingly, many places will take US dollars in the high tourist areas.
Absolutely love y’all! Have you experienced any homesickness? And do you ever have moments of getting on each others nerves? How do you handle all that? As a mom of four and now a nana, I’d like your recommendation about the length of a cruise I could handle.

The end of the world! How amazing! Love the video. Mike is very adventurous with what he eats. I have a question for Nancy. How are you going to cut your hair or even other services that women typically can't do without?

I am so enjoying your adventures on this cruise. On the tender ports, did you pre-book excursions, or do you wait and book onsite once you arrive?
All pre booked 😀

Pro tip2 write your post card on sea days and just mail from there. Often get another card to mail at next stop

Do you think the food on board the ship is getting boring? As some are saying?
Not really because there are so many choices and the food choices change daily. They have a 28 day rotation in the main dining room. Today in the windjammer, they had cherries jubilee, which was unusual, and it was absolutely fabulous. At home, poor Mike has to put up with me making taco Tuesday almost every week, or taco salad, Tuesday!
Also - the catamaran you caught in Ushuaia - was it a Royal Caribbean sponsored excursion or did you find it locally? Thanks again.
No, it was not through Royal Caribbean. It was through shore excursion group.
Is it winter in Argentina now?
No, it is summer in Argentina right now.
How do you guys avoid getting sick when trying all those street foods in so many different countries?
We try to use some caution in what street food we choose to eat. We look for food that’s been or is being cooked properly.😉

Do you go to any Scandinavian countries
We were at all of them. Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. We’ve also been to Finland and just finished Iceland and are on our way to Greenland now.
