That's a shame - but as you say, things sometimes go well until they don't... Was looking really good. Looking forward to the next one. :)

Thanks Machoo, yeah things can go well until they don't. Luckily in this case, I didn't injure myself with a slip of focus. That is always a concern around machinery, the next one will be a triumph. Excited to share.

Great video mate. Thanks for sharing. How much do you sell a pen such as this

      Thanks for the comments.
Several factors come into play on these. Purple heart is a bit more expensive in Australia. It's an imported wood and isn't readily available (I am also regional NSW, so it takes additional effort to get woods as it is a 4hr drive to Sydney). I tend to work with a lot of Australian hardwoods for that reason.
Purpleheart sees a premium on pen sales as a result.
I don't typically have a stockpile on hand, I quote and make to order. My email is available on my channel. I have the wood, kits and blanks ready to go.
Rough guide (AUD), depending on style/kit/wood. This pen would have been $80. Center twist ballpoint(broad/streamline) $40, pencil $45. Fountain in purple heart $130. Fountain in most other woods $100
