This video gives a detailed description of how the 175 talas are derived in the carnatic music system. The video also talks about Suladi talams, Jatis and Gatis/Nadai in detail

Sir it was an excellent class. All the basic concepts about the carnatic thala's were explained very well here. Thank you sir. Expecting more such classes, especially sruthy, how to find out one's own sruthi and find out shruti of a song, etc from you . Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much. You don't know how much this helped me. I couldn't find this quality content anywhere else online. Thank you again so much! This really helped me a lot. Please continue to make such quality, detailed videos sir. Namaste
No wonder I could never find the downbeat in Indian classical music! (Westerner here.) Thanks for helping to demystify it, even if I have to watch this a few times to get it.
The taala system in Carnatic music is complex and difficult to understand. Your effort will surely help students of classical music. God bless you! 🙏🙏🙏
This video is better than most other intro ones. Thanks very much.. Few suggestions too consider: However before Step 1 a step 0 will help - singing same song in multiple tala so we can know the difference. Is that possible? Also please adjust volume is barely audible except at high setting.. A larger white board so you don't have to keep erasing!!
i really loved your teaching sir❤ God bless and yeah You made learning so easy!!! so i can work my music ❤❤ A big thank you please make more and more of this

Namaskar Sir, I've gone through your videos on your TH-cam Channel. They are wonderful and show your dedication/passion for music. I'm also classically trained. But I want to create a muktayi with more than 30 matras to be fitted in Adi Talam. It would be great if the same muktayi can also be fitted into Rupaka Talam (12 matras per avartha, executed with three beats). In both the talas the mukthayi should be arranged till the last matra of the avartha. Can you please help me with the same ? ~Reshma
