if you go through the suladis of haridasas u will find all these talams sadly no one will render these suladis in concerts that is why they are called suladi saptatalas surely u will meet all these talas once you go through them
Yes, a question that I always asked myself! Apart from the 35 there is 'Deshaadi talam' also? Similarly, I get confused with Twin ragas, something like Aarabhi and Devagandhari or Mukhari and Bhairavi etc.
Deshadi is basically adi talam(4/4) but it follows 3/4 method i.e you have to start from the ring finger ,thats the difference ,it was my doubt as well,i hope this is the correct exlplanation for that
Hi ma'am,i Have just started my learning carnatic music this month only, i need some tips from u, i can sing very well by listening to songs together in flow, but without song I'm finding difficulties, I can't sing small small mainute gamakas and all, i feel stressing my voice, higher notes and all goes with stress can u please help on that,
My confusion remains for two talas with same number of beats, for example, Rupaka Talam has 2 + 4 = 6 beats, but Tisra Jaathi Jhampa Talam has 3 + 1 +2 = 6 beats, then how these two talams are different?
The main difference is in the split of the Tala. In rupaka Talam it is 2+4, so the pattern can be like SR SRGM. But in Tisra jhumpa it is 3+1+2 so the pattern would be like SRG G SR. The difference lies mainly in the way we visualise the split of notes.
Some are same while some are there only in Carnatic or only in Hindustani. Similarly some may have same names while others will have different names in both systems.
