Great game! Question... Is it not worth it to micro dwarves res-wise? I'm always v scrupulous about keeping them on gold and, if necessary, wood, while avoiding putting them on farms at all cost unless absolutely necessary. Is it worthwhile to do so?
Uh, yeah. If I was a good Norse player I would do everything I can to balance my economy but what ends up happening is it's just easier to make non stop dwarves and put them where you need to because Gold doesn't run out that quickly (unlike food). The added benefit is battle boar, frost giant, fire giant and fenris wolves all cost a lot of gold so having that potential gold income is very useful.
Thor, you can get away with less management.
Not sure of exact gather rate multiplier but long term you'll be worse off. Consider vil walking time extra apm spent. Dwarves not mining is still better value than market.

what happens if you don't eve bother with water? Ive only seen videos where people fight for it. If one person goes for it and the other just completely ignores it what happens.
Then the player that went for it has a massive economic advantage. Think of a dock in a water map as another town center: you can use it to train fishing ships for the same cost as a villager (just wood instead of food) and those ships will gather fish for you infinitely. The only difference is you can build as many docks as you want from the archaic age, so you can make fishing ships really quickly at any stage of the game. If you think of every fishing ship as basically a villager gathering food, it should be pretty easy to see why going for water is a good idea.
But of course, if I’m going for fish and my opponent is going for fish on the same water, then I’ll build military ships as soon as possible to threaten his fishing, but then he’ll build ships to counter my ships, and pretty soon we’re just having battles on the water between fleets of military ships and very few, if any, fishing ships are getting taken out for a while

However going for water might leave you vulnerable to early classic attacks that are hard to pull off but if done correctly they can deny gold but only with super aggressive strategy

Someone should tell the Oranos opponent that you can use 2 lampedes with a specific upgrade that does enough damage to suicide AoE a ton of villagers. It's a niche method, but it's something to keep in mind.
I think it's not to mention. With Hel. It's not only for the Nidhogg. If you can sneak in some infantry and proxy a temple in a corner as long the opponent isn't aware, then you can sneak in a ton of giants with a Rampage upgrade.
The Nidhogg needs a serious buff. I disagree that Loki is OP.

He could have done a line of upgrades, and can just heroize and defeat all the firegiants.. just a bad player with lower IQ imo.
I gotta agree...Boit tends to call stuff OP when it's usually just him outplaying a lesser skinned opponent...although I do think that Atlantean biremes are not that great.
