This recording is so wonderful that I always come here when I want to listen to "Invitation To The Dance". Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know this wonderful sound.
@@BrunoNogueira1408 it should be 2:06, the notes are mentioned in the novel as 're mi re do re fa mi re' and Marguerite said it is where they are an octave higher.
This is the best recording of Invitation to the Dance I've heard. Brilliant performance by Alicia. I especially likes the way she stresses the first note in the fast RH passages, effectively adding another voice, and her tempo choice is fantastic: the slightly slower tempo lets the piece breathe a bit, so it really feels like a *dance*
She could teach music to the stars of today. Just listen!
No wonder she has gone down in history as one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century.
Lovely. TY

What is the minute which Marguerite complains about that she couldn't play?

How souverainly she is dancing over the keys ... what a marvelous pianist ! Thanks !
My favorite interpretation
Wonderful. Love this.

Who else thought that 7:14 would be the end?
1:44 reminds me of the scherzo from his second sonata.
