It's been a year of overcoming some really hard opsticals. everything from bad stomach issues, to Your younger daughters health, to Tripper needing all those surgery's. Yet through all that you gave us some great content. I will never forget your solo trip to Wabakimi. That was such a well done series, I absolutely loved every minute of it Joe! You and your family are so strong for overcoming all the obstacles that have been thrown at you and as a 35-year-old man I can say that I truly look up to you. I don't know what I would have done in your situation. You just kept trucking along you are one tough s.o.b. Can't wait to see what 2022 holds for your channel. I’ve been watching your vids for a few years now Joe. You are the sole reason I tried my hand at camping/bushcraft, and I’ve spent weeks in the woods by now because of you. I’ve watched the old school axe skill vids and tarp shelter camps a million times by now. I love how your videos follow the seasons and give a lot of variety between canoe trips and bushcraft. I have to be honest though, as much as I love the joy that comes with catching some monster pike, your fort videos have been my favorite the past year or so.
You rock Joe! Keep up the good work, and I look forward to whatever comes next!

Wild Woman Bushcraft put up one of these tents and slept in it with a friend about 3 or 4 months ago. Sleep movement or getting up in the middle of the night disturbs other sleepers in the tent. On the othet hand, you're protected from creepy crawlers. I'm wondering if you are warmer, colder or about the same in one of these in the winter vs. ground tent.

Merry Christmas Joe from the hills of Tennessee. Your video content is perfect and I would not change a thing. I enjoy each and every one. Funny note, I work in a papermill in Alabama and because of the wet summer and winter wood shortage is starting to show so they started importing wood from up north to help out by railcar. I work maintenance in the area about ready to retire and i rode by and saw paper white birch trees being unloaded. We have nothing like that here and I thought of you and your videos. I stopped and got some bark from the unloading area and took it home, started a fire in the fire pit at deer camp in the rain with a striker steel and the bark to see if I could do it. Built the fire cooked over it and had a great time. Thank You!!!! Told everyone in the mill and now I get calls and they say hey if your down by the wood yard get me some bark for camping...LOL. Love the family and the videos, You are one LUCKY MAN...

@@timllg yeah I guess that would be the logical way to do it. In my imagination when I wrote that comment it seemed more elaborate. Kind of like what Jon on Lost Lakes tried to do in his latest video. Although you don't see much of that on TH-cam, at least amongst the folks I follow. Sintax77 being the exception.

@@BrendanMcNamara That's true, though, you don't see that kind of trip. You make a great point about it!

Hey Joe. Merry Christmas. Like the new hammock tent. Would like to see a four wheeler camping video with the new hammock tent. Maybe set it higher so you can park your four wheeler under it and use it to gain access to the trap door. And bring a cold beer to enjoy durring dinner. Keep up the great work Joe.

You know I've been thinking for ages 'Joe should get into some kinda woodcarving, or maybe build an entire cabin in the woods.' Fortunately i'm pretty sure neither you or any of us know any others who do that kinda thing 😉. But seriously Joe. You do you man. We love you for who you are and what you do buddy.
A VERY happy Christmas to you, Autumn, Emerald and your good Lady ( Oh & Tripper eh).

That tent looks like an alien spacecraft in your last couple of shots. So cool! Loving the videos, as usual. Merry Christmas!

I'd love to see more hammock content. This was similar and I liked it a lot. Doesn't have to be every other video, just a few each year would be cool!

My favorite videos is Joe making dinner in the snow and the only light is the campfire. Something really special about that

Merry Christmas to you, Joe! As well as to this entire community!
Would love to see some more limited gear/situational survival and bushcraft type stuff. Quick shelters, signal fires, maybe only camp with kit that's kept in the truck..... something like that could be cool! Also, maybe a snow sled or 4 wheeler expedition out on the ice? Do some ice fishing and camping?

I would second this. I know you've done these in the past and they were some of my faves. I realize you would want to find a new wrinkle to them which may be the tough part although several were from when you lived down closer to Windsor.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Joe. I don’t really have a suggestion as I typically enjoy all your videos.
But it might be cool to do a few polls for a trip where the community decide what happens, like full gear vs limited, what type of shelter(tent, hammock, build your own). Type of camping skills to show off?

Hey Joe! Been catching up on your adventures. I'm a Canadian from Midland, ON on Georgian Bay. Been living in Cambodia for the last few years. Your videos make me feel like I am out there by the fire again. I miss camping in Canada quite a bit. Last time I was in Canada, I took the canoe out for a ten day solo trip to McCrea Lake. Thanks for all you do.Means a lot. Peace.

I've been loving the changeup in videos Joe. That is an interesting tent but definitely a lot of work. I could see it being good for a group trip especially if it's spread out across 3 people to pack in/out. As for videos I'd like to see, personally I really enjoy atv trips. As a side note, what ever happened to that Suzuki Sidekick or whatever it was you picked up? I guess with the Ranger it's not as needed but I was looking forward to that one. Anyways, take care and have a Merry Christmas!

Thanks for putting this video together Joe. I started watching TH-cam really for first time in March of 2020 when covid hit and a lot of the sports were cancelled. Your channel was basically the first one I started to watched. I enjoy the adventures and the knowledge you pass on about things. I have definitely put some of the wood gathering and processing to use at the family cottage. Merry Christmas and Happy new year to you and family. Cheers.
