Good on Harry for standing up to Sinead. Glad to know he has a good head on his shoulders, immediately realising Sinead's real motivations and convincing her to back down. He's a pretty mature kid and I hope the writers keep him that way. It's too bad Harry backed down from coming out to his dad, even though he only did it so Tony wouldn't feel like a loser father. I like the kid, (mostly) putting others first before him. But someday it needs to be his turn where people make time for *his* issues. That said, I hope he realises soon what a colossal mistake it is to string along a girl just to keep up appearances.

And yet JP stood by him, the one time JP is lying to Ste is to keep him from losing his job AGAIN and his marriage over and stupid, angry and drunken mistake.

The not wanting to disappoint dad isn't new but the way he kept it so Tony wouldn't feel like the worst father for knowing little to nothing about his son was kinda touching in it's teen-aged thoughtfulness. You know I don't always understand what motivates many of the characters in this soap, however, I do feels a great deal of sympathy for John Paul and Ste. Both of them have had extraordinarily difficult lives, and both of them have fathered children. That certainly makes life a bit more complicated than if they were both single. But I have to agree with Harry's take on. Sinead's motivation for wanting to break up John Paul and Ste's marriage. She just doesn't seem to get it; even though she loves Ste deeply, her relationship with him will never truly satisfy her or meet her needs. She seems to be one of the most insecure and immature characters in this storyline. The character that I am most concerned about in terms of doing something awful is Serena! She's been so damaged by her relationship with her family that I've come to believe that she's beyond any hope of getting better. It will be interesting to see how all of this develops.

It wasn't because he was bad but his head was all over the place. There's an added pressure on a closeted guy due to the expectations of the family and the surrounding.

And bringing up his HIV which also happen to be a result of him messing around on JP with a different person. I mean, I'm usually a fan of irony but...ugh! She is just selfish and vile. Much like Ste. They are quite well suited for each other in that regard. I can't stand the pair of them. I love that Harry saw through her and called her on her true intentions. Bit disappointed though that he is starting back up with Cleo - after I was so proud of how he ended things before they got in too deep. But he is just a kid, and very confused about who he is. Still his behaviour has been exemplary compared to most on HO.

The part where Harry was talking to Cleo at the end, almost bursting in tears, moved me a lot. That kid got some serious acting talent. For real.
