Hmm, time will tell, but like the fact that the interim chief mentions that ultimately the department operations and personnel falls on him. I'm of the opinion that the former chief came to Louisville and hit the ground running, though operated the department without some plan to make sure every single person in the department performed their duties under a rank and file leadership, that she knew needed some tweaking when she was hired for the position, which the former chiefs didn't correct during their time in the position either. I believe it's called passing-the-buck, which she and former chiefs seemed to do so well! I always tried to teach the younger troops, while I was in the military, that if you/I allow the integral professional standard to be lowered, no matter what you're doing, even once then the standard is lowered and it can/will snowball from there. Thank you LMPD for trying to keep us safe, and lawfully in check, while working in a dangerous and stressful job, that more likely than not doesn't always feel like it has your back, and is known to have flaws that have been allowed to continue, for what seems like a very long time, that started at the chief's position. IMHO
