Grubby: "I won't say much just watch" Grubby 4 min in to the game: "you need to do this this this, he has expo creep here here here he is coming soon, remember item..."
Watching you coach harstem and uthermal got me back to playing wc3. Never got into competitive 1v1 seriously before. Currently 1-10 on w3c, still grinding
GRUBBY AND HARSTEM?! Grub, if you get this man into this game the ladder will never be the same. Grub keep this content going man, you're so good at coaching!
"Sometimes in life, things come up that are more important. Y'know, all my other contents, they are evergreens, y'know? I can always release that later, or I can do that at another time, but this is a once in a life time opportunity that you've got to jump on." -Harstem
I didn't know the guy he coached, and saying this he earned all my respect. He shows pure dedication, and when he says he'll hit rank 50, I don't even see a big ego, just a someone with signs of genius who wants to achieve his goal.
Man the FOCUS on Harstem's face when you were explaining things post-game was so serious. He looked like he was absolutely eating up what you had to say!
There are a few maps with playable Naga, I think Grubby has played some before. Obviously not 'official' but considering we're never getting WC4 it's the best we're gonna get.
Appreciate all of your content but especially enjoy bronze league heros and your coaching series, particularly when they’re with people with an obviously high ceiling. Also really cool to see you mention “sleep learning”. When I taught undergraduate cog psych or learning & memory I tried to make a big point about “letting your subconscious do the work for you” since we’re only consciously aware of like 1% of our brain is doing and when learning we benefit hugely both from sleep (through memory/skill consolidation) as well as stepping away to do other things while our brain continues to work in the background (known as incubation). The latter is really helpful for problem solving as well, e.g., if you get stuck on a problem and can’t escape your tunnel vision.
Hey Grubby I just wanted to mention that the collaboration with DuBu and now Harstem ist he most interesting content I experienced so far. It´s so interesting how pro gamers approach, learn and teach new stuff. Keep it up!
Nah, I think Grubby has just been reaching out to collab on WC3 with a ton of other creators in the rts and moba genres recently, it's been an absolute blast to watch so far
actually that is one of the best ways to get someone to understand something, don't just give them the answers, make them get to the answers themselves, with some help
This has me extremely excited. As someone who only recently started attempting ladders in SC2 (Always a big co-op fan but finally decided to try ladder), this is awesome to watch how people make their decisions, why decisions are important, etc. I understand this is Warcraft, but to watch someone who is crazy good at SC2 battle with a new game makes me know that everyone has to start from somewhere. Love your content Grubby!
I see it. The masterplan... xD He wants a fren. How devious. ...Not that this isn't the single best attempt to push the world-line to steins;gate as well. xD
damn this content of you coaching really talented players is entertaining to see! I love the breakdown you give afterwards to contextualize what their strat was and why it works against you. The meta analysis is very fun to watch/listen to!
Such a good video, and it's very interesting. One thing i think is the hardest to learn from sc2 player is win condition. In sc2 it's really easy to tell what is gonna make a good fight or a bad one (for example you know that 2/3 disruptor shot is win condition on the fight, or a good concave does wonder etc.) but in wc3 it's way more complex and so it's harder for a sc2 brain to process a fight
Grubby, I have never played WC3, Dota 2, StS, HotS, or really any of the games you post except for League and Elden Ring. That being said, the amount of your content I've watched in the last 2 years, I could be top 50 at WC3 at this point.
bro got catfished while the OST bangs some DEATH FROM THE POWER OF THE HORDE, just epic, had to check if I opened the song by accident in another tab, but no, it is this video sound waves alright
Great teacher, I am an old player frozen throne was my first love but I didn't play it in 15+ years. Would like Grubby as my teacher with me playing elf. Really interesting concept how we looks at game, never manage to develop this kind of thinking stategy when I played - might be because I was not mature and a kid :-D. WP Grubby to all you are doing.
i don't think i have watched any wc3 game since about 2014. yt algorithm keeps sending me to your channel cuz i watch harstem. nice collab. pls continue. warcraft really was insanely well build for its time
That such a good content. Well, Harstem have the best profile for that. He already played Warcraft 3 so he have basic knowledge of heroes & units. He got the APM / Speed of a pro, but almost everything to learn when it comes to perform at high level.
Wow I was just thinking that I wished there was a long running series of you playing with one of these new(ish) players that have been featured in your videos recently. This will be a ride B)
Hey Grub ! I watched the live from Harstem pov but i'll still be watching this one till the end. I truly appreciate your content so seeing the captain doing a collab with you is insane for me. What get me the most in this video is my boy Harstem killing it !!!
7:58 Jimmy: Do you like fishsticks? Cartman: Yeah. Jimmy: Do you like putting fishsticks in your mouth? Cartman: Yeah. Jimmy: What are you, a gay fish?
So pleasant to watch ! GG Harstem for your dedication and hard work ! I used to see a lot of your SC2 games, and ofc video of games analyses, freaking impressive ! I hope to see your futur progress in W3, no doubt you will become a killing machine :))
Wow, at the first game I first got the feeling, grubby when fully in the examiner ( taking notes, taking nodes) mode. But then in the half he turned in the drivering instructor mode, where he told most of the directions
love the coaching vids! such good content for me who love this game, havn't played it in 20 years, and is looking to pick it up again :D great inspiration!
When Grubby says I will go easy on him, he apparently means he will use 99% of his power. Poor harstem, Grubby teaches him that Orc should be stronger for 5 minutes and that Harstem should use that time to harass and constrain the human and in the game Grubby literally attacked in that 5 min and almost killed him and retreated.
A note there at the end game grubby, with all the incessant scans he couldn't do the BM scouting and setup like you taught him, apeaking of keeping a good barometer
Grubby! Love the content. Just jumping back in after 10 years. Would love to see you train a complete noob like Harstem for a month to see how good they'd get.
To be fair, I think this map benefits Hu vs Orc a lot. Really hard to deal with those griffs. I'm not really sure if going straight tier3 and counter expand is the best option. I think harassing the expo with raiders is the better option. Even if it is not successful the Human has to deal with it and can't go straight to his desired unit matchup he was going to. In the late game it is super tough to win that matchup as Orc as the number of Griffons and armor gets more and more with tech, Pala, scrolls etc. And even staff of preservation.
Hey grubby I used to mod for you it was a pleasure man ! Lloyd back in the day I was helping you get back into sc2 ; now I want to get back into Warcraft 3 after watching this
Wow, with all new streamers coming and playing Warcraft 3, I guess it really is a new hot game at this point. Love it. Really fun to watch as someone who sucks at warcraft.
Hi grubby! The music that starts off around minute 10 is it an original soundtrack from wc3 or something special? I would like to use it for some DnD session background.. hope you will answer! I've been watching your channel for a while and I'm loving everything of your work.. 1v1, coaches and bronze league! I'm not even a player, I had the original cd during childhood but never multiplayer. Anyway Keep it up! Cheers from italy❤
Grubby is a decent coach! I like how he lets him choose and interpret the situation. Harstem is decent in micro macro, but he doesn’t know what options he has.
Unstable concoction is not enhanced damage, enhanced is physical damage that is not countered by armor, such as poison or fok.
Oh I think you're right actually, oops.. Thanks!
So wc3 has more damage type than what we can see in attack type then
@@RTSEmir For this type of things there is 3 properties that you care about, damage type and attack type. Bro is gathering the Dutch RTS Avengers at this point.
Grubby: "I won't say much just watch"
Grubby 4 min in to the game: "you need to do this this this, he has expo creep here here here he is coming soon, remember item..."
got flash backs to the onyxia wipe animation "more bats" "bats, more bats" "now stop bats, expand"
Watching you coach harstem and uthermal got me back to playing wc3. Never got into competitive 1v1 seriously before. Currently 1-10 on w3c, still grinding
It's ok small son the journey is the point
Same! Back to wc3
Want to do it too but haven't managed to install it yet (I'm using linux...)
Love it ❤
I'm cheering for you!
Holy smokes grubby is killing it with the coaching content recently. The Warcraft Renaissance is in full swing and I'm here for it
The Captain and The Warchief together again 🙌
Zug zug

beautiful
Respect the hustle.

Wish Naga was playable, Harstem would finally hace some fellow creatures of the sea
There are a few maps with playable Naga, I think Grubby has played some before. Obviously not 'official' but considering we're never getting WC4 it's the best we're gonna get.
naga are bloody busted

I'm happy about this. Hopefully it doesn't mean uthermal bailed.
Nah, I think Grubby has just been reaching out to collab on WC3 with a ton of other creators in the rts and moba genres recently, it's been an absolute blast to watch so far
I hope it's a big new arc of all strategy streamers playing together!
uThermal said in the last video he can't play wc3 for 2 weeks but they will continue after that.
uthermal said he's got a busy 2 weeks and will play WC3 again when he gets back
Utermal in his vid said he he's scheduled for at least 2-3 weeks before returning to wc3
Grubby and Harstem, two of my absolute favorite RTS casters/players on youtube. This is amazing and I cant wait to see how this goes :D
I love how Grubby adapted his coaching to Harstem and asked him questions to get him to learn
actually that is one of the best ways to get someone to understand something, don't just give them the answers, make them get to the answers themselves, with some help
@@xLuis89x The socratic method. I often use it when I teach the difficult boardgame Go, it's engaging and educational.
I’m afraid of the Dutch coalition you are creating Grubby
cant wait for the all dutch 3v1 against Grubby lmao

Harstem is such a gem, this story will be awesome to watch
I love how Grubby couldn't resist coaching him after about 4 minutes 🤣🤣
20 years after release, the Dutch resurgence of WC3 is here!
19:08 still learning things about wc3 after all those years episode 621824 : bats have ultravision... because they're bats... BATS GODDAMIT
Grubby assembling the Dutch avengers to finally have a good national team or what?
I'm absolutely loving all of the recent collabs! Every time a new face shows up to the channel, I'm always excited to see how things go :D
I see it. The masterplan... xD He wants a fren. How devious.
...Not that this isn't the single best attempt to push the world-line to steins;gate as well. xD
Harstem is such a memer and WC3 is such a meme-friendly game. If he plays this game seriously, his content will be amazing.
I hope Harstem makes the top 50 in WC3. Great challenge.
This felt like father to son coaching Grubby 😭
damn this content of you coaching really talented players is entertaining to see! I love the breakdown you give afterwards to contextualize what their strat was and why it works against you. The meta analysis is very fun to watch/listen to!
no way. two of my favorite RTS players collaborate.
this is so cool. great interaction between you two. what a great teacher! cheers grubbster!
Bart Smit, I went through the same childhood, what a true legend!

i rly like this guy, so humble and willing to learn

Grubby's WC3 university
These are great Love seeing some of my other favorite content creators working with Grubby.
Whole that coaching series is soooo good. I learned a lot watching it.
This is a very exciting experiment. I like this guy’s attitude. Go all in!
Grubby + Harstem is already awesome, and the bg3 music in the background is a cherry on top.
Wonderful content! So much fun watching a skilled player learning the intricacies of The Greatest Game of All Time! :D

O MAI GOD THE DREAM DUO MADE IN HEAVEN, THANK YOU, I HADA HORRIBLE DAY AND U TWO POSSIBLY SAVED IT x
Grubby is ruthless
love these coaching session, i know we got a lot already, but we need more
GG. First game going late was just too tough - when no knowledge should just push and attack

We could seeing an origin story of a future Warcraft legend here, bois!
Grubby is a decent coach! I like how he lets him choose and interpret the situation. Harstem is decent in micro macro, but he doesn’t know what options he has.
Not having the constant noise of in game sounds is really nice.
We just need White Ra in the group and all my favorite protos players would be in one place.
This is so cool. Love you both. I'm 7min into the video and so excited.
